I was already looking for your streams to watch the vods and learn the way of the pvp druid :D I was close of giving up on feral but you gave me hope again. Your videos are perfect and can't wait to watch you live!
thanks for that helpful guide! tried a full feral spec with lets me survive longer because of more health and mana because of Heart of the Wild. Im less bursty but at the moment it seems to work better for me.
Just discovered your channel two days ago when I found your wsg guide. I was looking forward to you doing a phase 2 video. Great content! Looking forward for more :)
Thanks a lot! Stoked to hear my past content is still getting out to people and that my newer stuff is up to par 😄Lmk if you ever have any ideas on new content you'd like to see and hope to see you again on my next vid
Would be fun to see you break down flag carrying a bit in phase 2! (for example now that we have green whelp armor, nifty stop watch etc.)I've been getting into it lately for the exalted grind and it's super fun. Even begun to learn the important jumps. Also very excited to see you cover gnomeregan and would love to hear you talk about the new feral rotation@@Severingo
Been waiting on this for a minute! As I had lost hope in feral ever doing good in this phase. However after a few respecs and such I'm seeing the light. I do wish we had some form of +healing as feral or if we had a rune that would increase our HoTS in any form a certain amount.
Nice! Really happy to hear that. Yeah, the healing + mana issues are abysmal atm lol but at later phases we’ll have more mana to work with and can spec further down other trees to help with shifting cost so that should help a bit. Then who knows if it will be the meta but we will also be able to weapon swap a + healing weapon like feral Druids did in tbc to cast some hots and then swap back. Will have to wait and see!
Next phase won’t really allow us to benefit much down the resto tree, aka Ns, however we will be able to go down and get the +physical damage and OOC and that alone is going to be insanely good
@@Mauywowie nice! I guess it depends on what your guild is looking to do. A Druid tank can handle gnomer bosses no problem. My guild had the #2 speed clear on Warcraft logs for gnomer last Tuesday and used a Druid as MT/OT depending on the fight. I’m off tanking our run tonight and a lot of guilds are getting more ranged stacked so I could see bears becoming more popular (where a typical feral cat would be urged to also OT). Besrs also did just get a buff today on swipe so we’ll see how that is but they have problems with AoE threat on anything more than 3
Thanks! I really feel both are strong but I'd say it depends on your playstyle and if you'll be open world pvping, in BGs, or doing the STV event. Overall I think balance is probably the stronger pick right now in general (as long as you're positioning correctly) but I personally prefer feral -- Balance shines in the STV event as melee can have a harder time staying alive for longer periods due to having to be in the thick of everything and you're more CD reliant as feral. Feral is great in AB and it is probably solid in WSG both for support and as an FC if played correctly but again, it all depends on what playstyle you like more. I don't love the caster playstyle of boomy as much but different strokes for different folks.
Can you help me understand how you prioritize Stamina vs Agi/Str/Attack power for PvP? I tried to get an idea from the gear portion of the video, but for the whole BG shown you appear to have much much more stamina (~600 HP difference) compared to what you were shown wearing earlier. Even knowing what level of Attack Power you're comfortable landing at when in Stam gear would be super helpful! Love your videos, they help me learn a ton. :)
I've gone feral quite a bit in the past, I tried it a few days ago, Just feels super underwhelming in both utility and damage. I and the homies typically run STV together and have been getting anywhere from 1000-1500 bloods every STV we run together, But this is with my running wild growth for heals. I really want to try feral again at some point but man.... Boomchicken just feels better ( I don't even spec moonkin form due to offhealing so much in Gnomer + pvp.)
Yeah it's an interesting one. For STV, balance definitely shines over feral. But in BGs I personally prefer feral and see them on about the same playing field in terms of how effective they are.
I might respec it tonight for our gnomer run and tank, you did make it look fun in the vid, i was hitting quite a bit less than you, no ore bis or anything though just BFD gear for the most part
Looking for someone to make a video on a Balance/Restoration druid build. I have noticed that all points spec'd into resto isn't necessary and you can top heal parties while still pumping out solid damage. Curious about your thoughts on that type of build.
Definitely sounds solid/viable as many people ran something similar for BFD. I think the meta for speed running will be something similar where you can pump out decent damage and WG is doing a lot of work still
Dope video ty so much! you forgot to mention that boomkin also gets a buff in 1 and a half day so starfire will do 80% instead of 66% frome the starsurge buff. Is there a possibilty to also do a guide on just bear form pvp:)?
Thanks for watching! I love making them. Very briefly mentioned the starfire buff in a quick overlay of text around the 55 second mark because I had finished that portion of the video prior to the patch notes coming out so that's why it was kinda thrown in there last minute haha -- but just tried out the new 80% and it feels good! Lot of 1100-1200+ crits. And I'd be happy to make a bear form guide but it wouldn't really change drastically from the info I put in this video. I guess you could make slight talent changes for more overall tankiness and rage generation www.wowhead.com/classic/talent-calc/druid/-5002521303022141_156sw66v476sv86pba6pm and focus more on stacking stamina to just be a beefy SoB (swap out the last 4 points in the feral tree for furor if you want the instant feral charges). But I don't think you'd be doing much damage outside of your 3 minute CD window. Feel free to try it and report the results back to me! I'm curious.
@@Severingo aah interesting i dont have problems with the talents and rotations/abilities for bear but more interested in bis for pvp, i saw the belt is good but not 100% sure on the rest aswell as wild strikes vs survival of the fittest and one last thing which stat is most important for bear? Click more and you can drag those, attach to others, etc. Hold alt and mouse over the buttons to see the options like lock, settings etc.
@@jamesduty9261 Yeah no problem. Glad it helped ya. I flag carry too, but on Horde side. With Item rack I keep my Helm, boots, main hand and offhand on one row. And the next row under my mh and oh I have my two trinkets.
Was looking forward to this. What are your thoughts on running deep Feral for LOTP for raid support or does power shifting furor still do more overall? Even with the insane armor working against you.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for tuning in. I think it all comes down to play style, as with everything, but having tried both… and not even thinking of the damage/burst loss from having to wait for energy ticks / starting at 0 energy or rage every time you shift… I think furor (even just for immediate feral charges) is worth it over LotP. If I shifted into bear while someone was casting or running away/kiting and I couldn’t use feral charge because I didn’t have the rage for it, it would not only feel really bad but could be at a very costly moment (whether that’s to cap a base or stop an FC or help your team secure the kill on someone else while a healer is free casting in the back etc) Also, with how squishy everything is and how time-to-kill is so short atm (lots of instant cast abilities and dots doing crazy damage) every moment counts and say you get frost nova’d or kited with 100 energy in cat, you have to make the decision to powershift and lose all that energy (and right now by that time the mage would have already chunked a significant amount of your health) or sit it and then try to slowly make it over to them. Yes, you have tiger’s fury but only every 30 seconds with KotJ and if you’re using survival instincts in bear you’re handicapped. So you might be giving 3% crit to your party (who a lot of the time aren’t near you anyway depending on what type of PvP you’re doing) but if you can’t connect to the enemy or even if you do and have zero energy to use abilities, there’s no use in having that crit anyway. Hope that was written in a way that wasn’t a total mess lol lmk if there’s anything else you’d like to chat more about!
Same goes for pve. That 3% crit just doesn’t give enough dps to the party compared to how much you lose by not being able to powershift. So taking lotp is also an overall raid dps decrease. It is however much easier if you like that and involves a lot more sitting and waiting on energy. I would also guess that if you aren’t power shifting in pve you probably don’t shred outside of berserk due to having to wait an 6 seconds between each shred which is a huge damage per energy decrease. Tbf though in gnomer all melee suck for basically all bosses but the first two so don’t feel too bad about whatever choice you make if it’s the way you’d rather play.
Hey, I can't seem to get my itemrack to show item slots like that. Only to fastswap different premade gearsets. Mind telling what version/how you do it?

coming from a hunter where u can get away with a one button macro my question is how do u handle all the spells and macros ? I start using the Shift Modifier but its getting really complicated in fights lol
Nice video! I've got a question, kinda new to the game, how do you switch specs for PVP / PVE? I'm not there yet for PVP but I'm wondering if you have to re-spec every time or how does it work?
Thank you! Welcome to WoW -- it's been my favorite game since 2006 haha. Unfortunately you do have to respec at your class trainer every time you want to change to the most optimal talents for PvE or PvP. With that being said, SoD has drastically lowered the gold cost of respeccing making it a lot more manageable. People are also hinting at something called Dual Spec to be added in later phases (which is a way of having 2 specs that you can change to and from)
@@gianlucacandiottiportillo6743 cheers man! Will do my best to keep putting good content out. Always stoked to hear when someone new is enjoying the game. Hope you’ve been having fun with it in p2
Quick question? Are you able to macro a bash or feral charge as soon as you change or shape-shifting being part of the GCD makes these not usable in SoD?
It is weird, but you looks like an elf IRL anyway, does Druid is an easy play OP class? Who could ez kill elite mobs 5+ lvls above him? Or farm in AOE? I am looking for the OP class - what do you suggest? Thanks
LOL I'll take it 🧝♂ And I wouldn't say druids are OP.. Every class has something they excel at so there's no real contendor for the most OP unless it's something that's just kind of overtuned (like melee hunter atm). For AOE: Mages have always been the king/queen, for killing elite mobs 5+ lvls above hunter comes to mind. For Gnomer, ranged/spell casters are excelling and melee are hurting due to the high armor values of the last 4 bosses. Hope that helps!
Yep! I overlayed the text saying that at that part but it was easy to miss. I finished the earlier portion of the video before those changes were announced so I quickly added everything after the fact
you're right, I leveled all the way to 40 as resto so I definitely should've included it 😅 -- I think I had the notion that it would be difficult to get clips for PvP while playing it but it wouldn't be difficult.. just different
I started playing feral in SOD and really enjoy your videos. 1 request, could you make a guide on how to properly setup Itemrack? I tried to set it up but I can't seem to figure out how to swap sets for different situations.
Whichever you prefer! Night elf can use shadowmeld in boomkin form to stealth while eating/drinking, stealth before prowl is back off cooldown and then go into prowl (shadowmeld is off the GCD) or to get a surprise opener on an enemy though you can also do this from prowl. Tauren have more health, higher level herb racial so they can pick herbs that others can’t rn, and have warstomp which is a nice stun which can be used defensively or offensively (interrupt casts etc) from melee range where boomies typically struggle. So it might be the difference in your securing a kill before they kill you or getting away from a melee.
I’m currently sitting at AP 680 (870 in raid with buffs) in cat form. But my raid damage and pvp damage is sooo trash. My talents is right. My pre-raid bis is right. I even have pummeler. 😢 need some help
Boss uptime, consumes/WBs, powershifting at the right moment, raid comp and of course rotation are all things that come into play. I have a vod of my clear from last tuesday where I had a decent amount of 99 parses and am working on getting a guide finished for my next project. Just by being aware of how you're performing puts you ahead of most! Hang in there and keep working to improve on your own performances each week.
I still play my rogue a lot! Just haven’t made any videos due to time unfortunately but I got super lucky with gnomer gear these last few lockouts so I definitely plan to start recording more / playing on stream.
why don't youtube creators take advantage of the functions in youtube? like when you have a list of bis items, why not have a link in the video? or description
That wasn't a list of bis items, it was my gear. I do my best to include a lot of info in the description which I typically add to as I get requests. PvP is more subjective than PvE and there are different ways to build your character out to get different results. Stacking stam, deciding to be a glass cannon, etc. I gave the stats one should be looking for and what they do -- I'm a believer in teaching a man to fish vs giving him one for a day but here: Feral - sixtyupgrades.com/sod/set/fg2ijTkFqJJpmzaFyKfR64 Balance - sixtyupgrades.com/sod/set/kdZvfWCpLrSWpeoGTMLuCA. If you die too much in boomy you can get replace chest with robes of the lich. Good luck getting everything!
WG is the go to. You can spam wrath and starsurge, you get incredible mana regen so you can spam WG and mostly be fine. Even when I am oom, I gain mana back really quickly. Actually, never mind, I'm watching your comps bit and you don't know what you're doing.
It’s not that serious man. I just pug and have a good time / try to put info out to help. Everyone plays the game differently and I can be just as effective with what I do as how you can be with how you do. Hope you’re enjoying phase 2!

coming from a hunter where u can get away with a one button macro my question is how do u handle all the spells and macros ? I start using the Shift Modifier but its getting really complicated in fights lol
lol yeah definitely a lot of key binds. I use bartender and a mix of the modifier keys (ctrl, alt, shift or combinations of both like ctrl+alt+key)
People are also hinting at something called Dual Spec to be added in later phases (which is a way of having 2 specs that you can change to and from)
Thanks for the explanation and the wholesome reply, appreciate it! I'll be waiting for new vids to learn more from you :) Cheers
@@gianlucacandiottiportillo6743 cheers man! Will do my best to keep putting good content out. Always stoked to hear when someone new is enjoying the game. Hope you’ve been having fun with it in p2
Trinket guide druid??? pleasee
Great vid
Thank you man - Much appreciated
Quick question? Are you able to macro a bash or feral charge as soon as you change or shape-shifting being part of the GCD makes these not usable in SoD?
pls paste links to gear planner (bis)
Whats on your left eyeball?
5 boomkins literally the best comp. Most targets has no chance to survive 6 starsurges or at least not getting stunned from one of them
It is weird, but you looks like an elf IRL
anyway, does Druid is an easy play OP class?
@@Severingo very helpful, thx!
Eclipse pushback was fixed right before the Starsurge nerf happened.
Yep! I overlayed the text saying that at that part but it was easy to miss. I finished the earlier portion of the video before those changes were announced so I quickly added everything after the fact
Give resto some love plzzz
you're right, I leveled all the way to 40 as resto so I definitely should've included it 😅 -- I think I had the notion that it would be difficult to get clips for PvP while playing it but it wouldn't be difficult.. just different
They gutted balance druid after the nerf to SS. It was too much considering the class has no defensives and reliable cc.

I started playing feral in SOD and really enjoy your videos. 1 request, could you make a guide on how to properly setup Itemrack? I tried to set it up but I can't seem to figure out how to swap sets for different situations.
Thanks a lot! Yes, definitely. I'll work on getting that out asap
What race is better for boomkin?
@@Severingo wow! Thanks for such a detailed response!
you're on lonewolf ally right?
Yessir!
I’m currently sitting at AP 680 (870 in raid with buffs) in cat form. But my raid damage and pvp damage is sooo trash. My talents is right. My pre-raid bis is right. I even have pummeler. 😢 need some help
Get wow logs. See if you do damage appropriate to gear level in the raid. If not, your rotation is probably wrong.
Hang in there and keep working to improve on your own performances each week.
looking forward@@Severingo
I love oneshoting mages with 1300 star fire
Hey man, did you quit your rogue?
Thanks! @Severingo liked + subscribed
0:16 Look at how good feral is at dying in 3 seconds.
Every class dies quickly right now.
Hope you’re enjoying phase 2!
not taking HotW is criminal
Not being able to power shift is detrimental
Why are you wearing a cap indoors? Did you have plastic surgery in your face?
Awesome guide thanks!
