I miss our group of regulars at Melbourne Greyhound Park but LOVE living in Nicaragua. I learned ALOT from Kia about tournament poker and he's a very aggressive cash player. Like straight , flush, pair, triples etc. The rest of it, is just about baiting/lying your opponents into the trap for the gain. Hence is why this is called as Poker because you are literally have to do 'Poker face' to trick someone.

No, the chip values aren't real money, although they could be winning that much depending on the tournament. It's a bit weird that they assign dollar values to the chips really when they show it on TV. They'd have paid a much lower entry fee, maybe $5K, $10K or $25K and got a certain amount of chips. Still a lot of money, but there's ways to qualify through satellite tournaments for a lot less. I once qualified for an EPT event with a 4,000 euro buy-in online through a £10 satellite.
