Hi Colin, another banger of a video. 151 is what brought me into collecting and back into Pokémon more generally. I love the artwork, the fact the cards are in order of the original Pokédex (something that bothered me as an 8 year old with base set back in the day...) and even the packaging aesthetic is spot on. Have you thought about setting up a buy & sell community with your subs?
The fact there wasn’t booster boxes for 151 and the phenomenon of TikTok shop is WHY 151 ETBs will outshine in prices over other SV era ETBs along with 151 UPCs probably getting to Evo Skies prices. FOMO happened to TikTok “shop owners” more than anyone wanting to compete for the demand of selling loose packs. So many ETBs/UPCs were ripped just to sell those packs. UPC 151 promos all 3 as low as $10 on TikTok 🤷🏻♂️ also so many streamers are giving away snorlaxes, at the time, if customers bought more than $50 bucks. If you see them at Walmart… buy em. Trust me.
I won a psa 10 151 zard for about $100 recently, pretty happy with that because I’ve pulled three and I only think one or two might be 10 candidates. That comment is pretty ignorant. Like you noted, if certain products are making moves then that’s what everyone is going to talk about, that’s also just how UA-cam works too. Similarly, you’re not going to have a successful channel making video after video saying the same thing about buying 151, you need to talk about different topics or people won’t watch your videos. All pretty basic things, if they had any familiarity with your channel they would know you’ve made multiple videos talking about 151 being the best set. Speaking of 151, I can’t really find any in stores and I didn’t see it at my Costco but might have missed it. I think it would survive a reprint well though, lost origin is a good example of this.
why wouldnt they reprint 151 and why wouldnt it still go up even if prices tank because of a reprint? The venusaur line has the best looking arts.The Squirtle line is the worst looking. Squirtle line was my favorite line growing up but the arts in 151 dont do it for me.
i love 151, got me back into TCG. Im from canada too and im not sure if i am able still to buy more bundles for a good price. Sold out everywhere near me
151 is great! I’m in my 30s and got my wife and I starting to collect like kids again! Fun little hobby to get into. I’m also showing my daughter how to play!

151 is definitely cool and worth investing, especially if you were there, when it all started. Nostalgia hits, no way around it. Btw, I am already making space for the giveaways in my collection 😅
151 is my favorite set in a looooong time. Only have a reverse holo rares left for the master set and think it will be huge going forward. Give it enough time and of course it's a solid investment, but more importantly it's an awesome collectible.

Ignore the haters, Pokemon collecting for investment IS a risk , However 151 is the set that got a lot of old collectors back into the hobby and is sure to attract future attention. How much , no one knows but I can see it being better than a lot of the S&V sets.

Bro I’ll never forget it , and I don’t care if anyone believes me…. I forget what set it was, because I wasn’t into the cards at the time, but I was trying to be nice to some neighbors next door at the time , young couple , fought a lot, they BOTH were to blame, but anyways I bought a 3 card pokemom pack from dollar tree and gave it to them for Xmas. I even called it , I said watch, here comes the shiny rayquaza…. And wouldn’t you know it , those kids actually pulled the shiny ray ray from a $1 pack from dollar tree…. lol… I straight up called it!!! Never thought it was gonna happen but it CAN happen, I witnessed it personally.
I could care less about 151 and scarlet. Never had an interest. Evolving Skies is the best set I've ever opened and I bought more in case people started catching on. I pulled the Moonbreon when it first released on my second booster box.
the fact anyone thinks that youtubers that own a case or two of a set are trying to manipulate the market to sell their handful of boxes is fucking laughable.

Love the 151 SV. Once I realized what they were I managed to find all of them and started another set. I’m gonna go broke. Haha!
151 is partially the reason I got back into collecting. I love it so much. It brings me back and I hate that my wallet is crying 😂
