As far as luck I’d say you hit right in the middle… maybe a bit closer to unlucky. You probably deserved one more SIR, but I’ve seen worse luck.
I personally don’t put much stock into the whole ‘first wave’ thing, it’s pretty much akin to asserting a quarter is better to use for lottery than a penny (this is pretty much scratch-off tickets for kids)
I just subbed (you earned it) so idk exactly how it works here. But do you do any trading on the channel? I have a few extra dragonair’s and one extra bulbasaur. I know you could get them at your LCS but just asking

What makes you think they’re gonna reprint later this year? I know they just did for the Japanese series but from what I’ve heard it’s unlikely for English

I think I got right on target for pull rates so I can't complain about that, but historically that hasn't been the case. It just wasn't the cards I was looking for. Thanks for the offer, but I was able to get them locally with a friend who had extras. English reprint is just speculation, but it was only released 6 months ago. I would expect another print around the 1 year mark. It's too popular and sells at MSRP, so the demand is there, unlike all the other SV sets. Japanese 151 just reprinted 10? months after release, and I even think that might make it onto the pokemon center japan website again, but its just now hitting stores first, and there is a ton of it.

I opened 3 of these boxes from Best Buy and got 2 “hits” out of 18 packs. The rest were regular holos. The hits were a regular ex and a full art. I also opened a UPC with the same results, a full art and a regular ex. I thought my luck was just terrible. You aren’t the only one struggling to get pulls from this set.
There's people like us striking out left and right, and then there's other people pulling charizard's left and right.. what gives?

i pulled the flying charzard from the smaller etb and ive pulled many full art charzards from the tins
You're killing it, congrats! I got a local friend that hit me up after this and he's got a bunch I'm missing.
I opened a booster box from paradox rift not too long ago and pulled 2 golds and several IRs. 15 pulls in total, opened one closer to release date and only 10 hits.. could just be nothing.. but wed need to break open a ton of product from first wave then wait unil the tail end and open an equal amount and compare numbers to get some kind of data.
Last night I hit back to back Charizard SIR from Costco 2 pack! Must have been the first wave lol

I just stared opening 151 and it’s been great to me!! I open packs and get hits all the time !!! 2booster bundles, 2 etbs, 2upcs , 20 ex boxes!!! I need 15 more cards for full set 🎉 plus I have some to trade so many good hits
Good luck to you getting that Charizard SIR and Bulbasaur IR. I'm on the hunt for the Paldean Fates Shiny Zard atm without trying to break the bank. Also, I'm 8 pulls remaining from strictly opening 151 but I finished the master set last week by buying my last single but I still want to pull my favorite Pokémon, Charmander, and my favorite art, Poliwhirl (2/8).

Do you feel that a true master set has to have those? I can understand wanting them, for sure, especially if you're that close. That's like super master set level.

They just did, and they've been hitting the market. 120 is still the lowest I've seen so far. I was hoping it would drop more, will be keeping an eye out.

Didn't miss it, so far it was only sent to stores, not on the pokemon center japan site. I would doubt they'd do made to order again. There is a chance it shows up on the site for sale, but I would be surprised. There are currently a ton of available sets again on the site though. I just got some crimson haze, myself. Also some wild forces.
@@PokemonFamClub thought about snagging those. They were very reasonable. May still do that. I did go ahead and get a 151 Japanese booster from TikTok shop with coupon for $98 total shipped after deal. So not bad. Got spoiled with that price from PC Japan.

While you didn't get the big hitters you needed, I think that was a good 151 rip. It gets difficult to pull what you need when the amount of cards you're looking for number in the teens or lower.
Personally, I would've been pretty stoked with some of those hits. The Erika SIR, the Nidoking IR and Venusaur FA were all cards I need, haha.
As for "wave one" products... I don't believe it. It makes sense. Put a bunch of bangers in them there packs and get everyone frothing over the new set. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the case. Watched a lot of early build and battle kits/booster boxes opened that were totally mid and in my personal experience, I've ripped a lot of stuff on release day/week and they weren't all that fruitful. Most of my biggest pulls were gotten long after the set was released. Just look at Danny's vids covering a new set's pull rates. He shows a lot of booster boxes that nobody would be thrilled to have. It's just luck, man. Just luck.
I would be surprised if they did it, but I do think the distribution of hits seems off. One person gets back to back zards while others rip 3k worth of packs and gets none. How they mix them up and send them off is a mystery. Video just needed a theme and someone in my last rip said my problem was I'm opening wave 2, lol.

I got a Charizard and Zappos SIR from the same ETB I picked up from Target last month. Don’t think there’s much truth to the wave 1 stuff.

You deserve a few charizards. I think you received a good distribution but I have also been there where you don’t get what you need or you get the lower tier valued cards. Your prices are amazing. I’m just waiting a bit to make a purchase.

Frustrating when you get a lot of good pulls but not what you need. Iv opened hardly anything 😂 its an amazing set but should buy some singles
