Yo Friends! Before I say anything, I'd like to say that I've started paying attention to reaction videos very recently and yours are absolutely my favorite, partially due to mutual interest on the shows, a little due to the consistent schedule you have, but above all else, you guys seem to be the react vlog with the deeper understanding regarding Japanese culture and society and how that's translated to the animes. Now to my comment... As a former Volleyball player during my middle and high school years I found that the biggest flaw in haikyuu storytelling regarding the sport itself is that Hinata's a regular player that doesn't know how to receive. In Volleyball, for you to fill the bare minimum requirements to play in games, is to learn the 2 exact things Hinata is just now learning: Receive and positioning. The show does a good job finding ways around it, and the reason given for Hinata to be in the team spite those fundamental flaws is good enough, but in reality, specifically in school level, you will rarely see young players that can perform strong serves, sharp spikes or well timed blocks, but every single one in court need to receive. It's a say my coach use to tell us and I think Nekoma's coach had a similar quote in season 1 or 2 "The better team isn't the one with the best attack or the strongest serves, or taller players. The winning team is the one that don't let the ball fall" Just a little random Volleyball fact I felt like sharing
I always imagine at this point what if Tsukishima really does kill Hinata and the series takes a very dark turn, just 3 seasons of motivating and wholesome volleyball suddenly turns into a psychological horror show lmao
The coach didn't want hinata to improve haha he just wanted to teach him how short players like him has no value against taller and more accomplished players

Ohhh Kageyama has to learn how to adjust his serves to different players. He was so used to serving to Hinata, that Suga beat him in terms of knowing what serves to serve to the other teammates. And Hinata has to learn how to survive on his own and think for himself rather than let Kageyama think for him. In volleyball even though you have a set role, you have to know how to do everything because that's how you win, since the lineup is always rotating and you're in different positions it's necessary.
No reason that toothbrush was important was because that was the same toothbrush she was holding from the convenient store basically meant he did decide at that time that he was going to sneak in to the training camp and join Kageyama but he didn’t want to get arrested so he went to the other one
