Pretty cool find. I hope you can work your magic and het the engine to run possibly and pass it on. A Track T update would be nice or the 3 window coupe. Love what you do
I've never seen a 1939 Ford 4 door convertible, ever! I didn't even know that Ford made them. What gets me is the rear doors are not the suicide style. Most 4 door sedans had the suicide rear doors, back in the day. Very interesting😮, and very cool😎👍. Y'all scored a big one Matt. I hope that it was really worth it, financially, I mean. You, Mike and Steve have got to be having so much fun, digging through and finding so many different, cool, one of a kind things, aka, the 'woody' plus so, so much more. I used to love going to my best friends, Uncle's Junk Yard, and being allowed, with my buddy, to dig through cars and trucks that were freshly towed into the junkyard. I would say that it was 50 percent wrecked vehicles and 50 percent old, broken down vehicles. And, Oh Boy, the things people just leave in and on their vehicles was amazing. Even the wrecked ones had so much stuff. My buddy and I would get so frickin' dirty, greasy, fire soot, dusty and plain ol' gross to look at, as we dug into and around and under, sometimes 1 to 12 vehicles a day. Heck, even the ones his Uncle would buy at auctions, complete, running or not, people would leave so much stuff. Anyway, Y'all had yourselves a purdy good time gathering all the goodies, kinda like getting the best candy at Halloween, being able to pick out whatcha want. HA😂😮😅HA!
WOW!!! That brings back memories! Back in the early '60's a friend of mine (in Rhode Island) found one of these in running and drivable condition. I think it was from an estate. Really a nice one. He was a high end machinist and took real good care. Back in the day I bought an original one owner '39 deluxe two door for $100.00 and drove it up until 1963. Good luck as always. I believe the dash on this one is slightly different, but just a little bit. Certainly adaptable. This model and the woodie had "40 style wipers.
Let's see.....the full race flatty in your 32 roadster and the model B 4banger in the model A with milled head, down draft carb and straight pipe. Hmmm....that would work.
Just out of curiosity, when you make a time/cost evaluation do you also figure in whatever the income would be for a vid showing the repair process? I would imagine a hood repair would generatea lot of interest and views.
Thumbs Up was for buying the boy a go cart. Ty for taking us along
Incredible that the '39 didn't have the very common floorboard delete option. Great score!
That would be the BEST building to have as a house/shop. Everything in there and the whole building is GREAT.
Thank you Matt , Mike and Steve for the update on how your trip and buying spree went !
I love that car. I hope you guys can get it running on one of your videos.
Stay Tuned!
That 39 convertible looks like a very interesting project.

Again, a 4-door convertible is extremely desirable and unusual. This was a fantastic find, gentlemen!
The 39 Phaeton is a great find. Looking forward to seeing it running.
Matt, that looks like a early 60's Rupp go cart you can tell by the turbine wheels and the three spoke steering wheel. Very cool!

I know you have a lot of projects that you’re working on, but I’d love to see you build that 39. It’s so unique, and cool!
that 4 door is so cool Matt.
I vote for a 39 convertible hot rod build.
What a great trip with amazing finds, cool car and an amazing (potentially) hot rod motor!
The awesome car to work on thank you for the video

Very KOOL Car guys
GREAT HAUL 👍
Good Morning, All!!!
I hope you guys don't mind. I have been sending people your way from Instagram and Facebook that's looking for part's for the older gems
Don’t mind at all! The more parts we get out into the world the better!!!
Morning Mike, Matt & Steve,
As always, great picks guys! That Vert would be a killer slammed Sunday rod! Sweet!✊
Nice stash 😎
Mild custom four door rag coming up. Lowered, bubble skirts, Appleton spots, long lakes, 26:15 26:15 flipper bar hubcaps Man I can see it!
Lowered? No thanks
Raised then?
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Ford-cool music, too!
I'm interested in the 32 pick up grill!
If you mean European Ford Capri the parts should start 69 EB or EG for early MK1, 72 EB or EG for facelift MK1. 74EB or EG for mk2.
The "winter front" next to your Amalie fender cover?? is for 1936 Chevrolet passenger car
Great find on the 39. Would like to see you do this like you did the Sedan.
I want to see the pizza episode with the go-kart 😅
Nice haul! I'd love to have that banjo steering wheel for my old Ford.
Send us an email if interested in any parts: irontrapgarage@gmail.com
Good save for sure, but there would probably be more. Can you go there again?
❤cool
Let me know about the “KELLY” sign. I’m interested. John

Hey Iron, check out Utuber Bad Chad, see the 38 tudor he started to cut into convertable, has become a rollback
!939 convert and woody dash is different then a coupe or sedan at the windshield mounting section
Glove box door is also different I also need one
Were any other vehicles for sale at the second stop? Saw more engines too. Just curious if a second trip back could happen? Great haul of goodies.
Stay Tuned!
How much for the case of mobil oil jars?
So they renamed the Phaeton to a 4 door rag top
Nice find.

I have to ask--what's the story with all the old furniture---I never heard you ever mention being into furniture before
We rent space in a storage warehouse. That’s another business.
No need to switch the hood, just fix it, ive seen guys fix worse hoods then that.
Time versus cost. Can find a replacement hood for far less money than the time it would take to fix.
Just out of curiosity, when you make a time/cost evaluation do you also figure in whatever the income would be for a vid showing the repair process? I would imagine a hood repair would generatea lot of interest and views.
Sad, but I hate to see what is going to happen tot his classic car. You can bet it WON'T get restored to original as it SHOULD have been.
Sounds like you should save it from the grips of a horrific hot rodder
Here is a virtual tissue to dry your crying eyes. 😢
