the VPN service provider gets all of your DNS requests (browsing history) passed to them, just because theyre selectively blocking certain links doesnt mean they dont see all of your traffic - you are also beholden to this service to enforce the ad blocking, its possible a company could pay them to allow their ads to be displayed to their users, since you arent giving them anything it makes sense they must recoup the cost of providing the service somehow. either they are selling your browsing analytic details, or they are providing ad networks/providers access to be displayed for a price, or both. to be clear - it is not inherently malicious, it is just not being represented completely transparently.
Should i keep it on all the time or just when i need it? Im a bit sceptical about something this good can be free. Should i be worried about it getting my info or installing viruses? Or should i be worried about being charged with it?
It’s a DNS lol! You don’t have to be worried about it. You can leave it on all the time unless you can’t access a website for example without seeing ads, then you might turn it off momentarily, then back on when you’re done.

It works but for me it does not block pop ups, just the ads. What that means is that a ad will pop up and be blocked intern opening a new tab which is still very annoying, overall if your trying to play games with no ads its pretty good.

I know the issue comes from the DNS as after removing it's profile - these same websites are loading without any issue Is there a way to fix that or its just how its coded ?

@@JustLuna667 Can still use a browser to watch UA-cam with no ads it's only on the YT app that they cant be blocked. Adblock plus still blocks on firefox and chrome browsers - just add the extension.

I have a strange thing happening. I had to get an aftermarket iPhone 11 screen. Now when I watch UA-cam, if I rotate the screen sideways, it will sometimes automatically switch screens to my browser and open an ad. Totally frustrating!!

Settings ; General ; VPN & Device Management - Touch the profile in the bottom - Remove Profile.

This is safe. If you use a dns like Adguard, you will not have any problems.

youtube cracked down on adblockers. used to work for youtube but now it won’t let you use the app unless you turn all adblockers off
