I picked up the wireless charger about a month and a half ago. It works great. I did notice that on bikes with Key Fobs, if the phone is in the holder and charging, the reception of the Key Fob is much less. Typically without the phone in the charger, can have the FOB in the fairing "Glove box" but when the phone is charging in the wireless charger, the FOB needs to be within a foot or so of the seat. 14' FHLTK

A few years ago, I installed a RideTech Coil Over kit on a 55 Chev Sedan. Big envelope in the kit labeled "Instructions: Do Not Read" In reality, they were catalogs and the actual instructions were separate sheets for each portion of the kit. Cracked me up.

I'm really starting to be impressed with Ciro. They even considered the fact that some people just might have a case on their phone.. I have a wireless holder already but had to modify it to securely hold my phone. Still charges with the case on though. Might have to give this one a try, seems well made and designed.

My ciro mount shook my phone to death on a 3300 mile trip to Arizona. It was on mounted on my clutch side on hand controls. I have the same bike. But stock handle bars.

I'm a retired mechanic spent a few years working on bikes, I was installing one those handlebars speaker kits, toss the instructions the side pu them on went for the ride the speakers rotated now matter how much I tightened them, went back to the instructions attached to them was in a bag where the spacers to keep them spinning around 😆

Had my plastic handlebar mount break as well. Not even on installation. After about 9mos use I noticed it was hanging sideways, I moved it and it fell apart. Switched to perch mount for the phone and got an aluminum bar mount as replacement. Never again plastic

Just wondering if the "feet" at the bottom of the charger sits high enough so the clamps on each side don't tighten down on the buttons (power, volume) on the phone? Constantly turning it off etc. Great videos and information as always.

Would be nice if they could make a phone holder that's not so clunky looking. Its 2020 folks please find a way to make a cellphone holder thats not as big as the cell phone its holding. The Law biding Biker cellphone holder is so far the best looking one that works and is small.. i just don't like his logo on it. I installed it on my wife's 2019 Softtail Slim and i used a permanent marker to black out his logo. 😁👍🇺🇸
😂 blacked out the mans logo. That’s funny. It is a bit clunky, and smaller ones exist. I for one like my $1000 phone to be secure, and it is in the mount. Too small or a special case to make it work sketches me out.
@@TheHarleyTech lol yes have you seen his logo? Its a skull speaking into a microphone. Nothing against him or his brand but I'm not big on the skull look. It's personally not my thing, or my wife's or the theme she was going for. As for being secure, i fully agree with you. His does a great job IMO and he even mentioned one of his customers crashed his bike and the phone holder still held the phone.

Yeah I'm curious about using this but trying to use the cable for Android Auto or in your case Apple Car Play... I'm not sure the issues that could arise with having both charging at the same time on my FLTRXS...

I'll stick with my Ram cell phone holder. Since you have to run a charge cable anyway, why not just plug it into the phone? Now if the Ciros itself were rechargeable and didn't require running a wire to the battery like the Ram does then I'd see the advantage.
The vibrations will eventually mess up the socket where the charge cable plugs into the phone.

Soooo... if you have it connected straight to your battery, isn't the charging plate always on? It will draw a continual current from your battery. OR, does the CIRO charger turn itself off when it is not charging, or have an ON/OFF switch? Just wondering, because now I want one!

I would leave my phone out in the rain. Doesn't matter how water resistant it might be.

I was wondering, if you know, will it charge a phone through a otterbox case. I've run into this issue before, and I'm looking for a wireless charger that will charge through that type of case. Great videos btw. Ive learned alot.
I'm also curious about this, as I also have an OtterBox.
I have the charger, but the standard Samsung Case for my Note 9. I am able to charge with the case on. Next time my Father In law is up with his otterbox on his Note 10, I can give it a try.
Can't speak for this charger specifically, but wireless chargers in general will work with a slim line case (but charge slower), but not with something bulky like a OtterBox
I have an 09 dyna street bob.. do you feel like that phone mount can actually support a phone like a samsung galaxy or iphone and keep it secure with a bikes handlebars that shake as much as mine?
I have the Quad lock charger head and such for my bike. It doesn't seem to charge all the time or charge enough. Do you think I might have it installed wrong?

I’ve done it a few times. I just cut the battery ends/fuse off, and run it through the bottom of the switches/in bar/under tank. Then I just solder all the ends back in and hook it up!
