I just can't get enough of Jordan Peterson, this person is absolutely magnificent in his arguments and even when they try to put words into his mouth that he never said or meant, he is able to argue correctly and shed light into the conversation. I admire him and I hope most men and women see the good in his words and listen carefully to what he's got to say, because we've been believing and educating wrong for decades and this needs to change.
100% agree with everything you said. Just one teenytiny detail... just coz he talks nice and puts his arguments well, doesn't mean he is talking gold. Never surrender critical analysis just coz the other person sounds like he knows better.
We'd get so much further into this world if we were all as articulate as him. Most of us aren't able to stay calm and think of the perfect things to say under pressure.
The amount of people this man have saved from certain death, is something to notice. He's not only speaking, and clearing up things that are misunderstood. He's also saving lives.
Stop labeling his videos this way. "JORDAN PETERSON DESTROYS THIS AND THAT" That's not the concept of sharing thoughts and communication. We talk to build, not to destroy. Titles like these are the reason less people listen to him. I think something like: Jordan Peterson and feminism narrative.
Max Rustine Do you know, Max, that Red Skelton the comedian, at the end of his variety show, often said “I come to build not destroy” about his comedy. Beautiful thought brother.
I could listen to this man 24/7 I absolutely love him! He is so eloquent and lest face it, correct in what he says I literally spend hours just listening to him, he has a beautiful mind. I wouldn’t however get into a discussion with him 🤣 she’s brave!
You know what I love about Jordan Peterson, he knows that these guys don’t listen and remain clouded with emotion, but he still does his job by sending his point across.
Fun fact 85% of women whole are raped is recorded while 98.9% of of men who are raped goes unrecorded. So if everything is taken of a 100 ratio. For every 100 women who are raped, 85 of them will be reported while nearly 99 of the 100 men who are raped will go unrecorded. So the ideology that women are raped much more than men is only because men don’t report it for a number of reasons. So who’s really oppressed in that sense?
Lol its funny, at work when my women coworkers say: “can you do this, this is men’s work.” I’m like:” Hey I thought you women wanna be equals.” And then they stare at me, speachless.
The best part is when she goes "I don't. I really don't, please go on" *that's* how you debate, folks. She was genuinely interested in what he had to say and respected him by not interrupting him (as did he). This gives me hope in humanity
Don't be fooled just because she was quiet . There is a "post interview" discussion where Peterson reviews the entire meeting, including the discussion they had prior to recording, which was not pleasant. Fact is, she was not expecting him to absolutely wipe the floor with her, and she was quiet only because Peterson gave her a good telling off. :-)
The difficulty lies in the way they express and often twist and manipulate the narrative. Usually when you counter an argument, the woman/opposing person will say "yeah but this, this and this, so therefore it's obvious" and all you end up doing is defending against their ever-morphing rationale which plays out as you are constantly on the defense which portrays you as being on the losing side. JP is very good at his rebuttal, but women are very very crafty. My ex wife used to do it to me all the time. To paraphrase, a typical argument would go along the lines of "you don't love me because you never do this", to which I would feel compelled to rebuttle with "well actually I do that all the time and here are my examples". That then morphs into "well you always do this other thing as well so clearly you don't love me" and so it continues on a neverending path of justification that is completely ignorant of any facts or truth whatsoever. And if I simply said "I do love you" then I'd get the rationale of something like "well you don't show it, you always do this" and on and on it goes, deeper into the rabbit hole. JP totally nails it in this one, but he's still fighting a losing cause. She'll never agree. Only his viewers and followers will ever agree.
Leroy30 the problem with your ex is self esteem and needing oh I love you so much and im glad you are not like her and her im just so glad you are awesome because I couldn’t live without you when in reality you were doing fine before you met and she was the one that has the inability to do anything about her own self esteem so it must be because you don’t love her lol I think I just got a bit dumber after trying to think like a woman lol
@@leroy30 you are the one that will forever lose by thinking theres no point, and by generalizing all women into this type of thinking. There are no top academic feminists. They have understood that our society is about competence, not sex, and therefor dont need handouts because of their genitalia
Next time the power goes out after a storm, the sewer is blocked, the buildings have fallen, and the farmers fields need to be tended to, lets just sit on our hands and complain about men
P.O. M.E - What the hell is your point? The OP’s original comment was suggesting that the base infrastructure jobs are maintained by men. And your first comment is about who raises them? The question itself seems that you’re suggesting that these men were raised by women, which is why you got your first smarmy, but justified, response that they were raised by men and women. From here this comment chain devolves into a pointless, rambling escapade from you continually trying to reinforce some narrative living your head about family structure. The other guy tried to provide information to you about the average family household in the US and all you did was obfuscate and throw facts in quotes to try and devalue the information he provided. You then feebly tried to suggest that there were many variables to consider......of course there are! No family is the exact same, and yes there are large percentages of aberrant family structures that don’t match the healthy, nuclear family standard. But again, what are you even trying to say, and how does it relate to men holding the mast majority of infrastructure jobs?
P.O. M.E - Then your implied point is something that I, and Toastman I believe, would agree with. But that isn’t all you were trying to do. If it were, his first response to you of ‘Men and women’ would have satisfied your desire to recognize both sexes’ contributions to raising young men. But instead you provided a provacative response about Dads leaving the family more often. Toastman even replied once more affirming his belief that both parents provide equally important contributions to child rearing which, again, is supposedly what you’re trying to communicate. Men and women need each other, right? Instead of acknowledging this you pivoted and deflected to family demographics which has nothing to do with your core point. Stop pretending you clearly communicated anything, or that you did so with innocent intentions about men and women needing to respect each other. No one here is denying that. Yes, the OP’s comment was a gibe about women who complain or overlook male contributions to society, but that doesn’t mean it was untrue. Nor does it mean he doesn’t understand the necessity of female involvement in family or society. You act as if because he made this comment he doesn’t value women by default, and as a result you tried to teach some other guy a lesson in male/female contributions. Do you not see the futility of how you’ve responded here? Please, do us a favor and just stop.
P.O. M.E - ‘men and women’ wouldn’t even make sense in the context of OP’s comment. That was purely a reply to you from Toastman, but if you haven’t comprehended the difference by now then what point is there discussing further. Especially since you predictably resorted to personal attacks and cussing. And judging by your comments, I’m not the one with delicate emotions. “Real men.” lol.
Love Peterson and I respect the fact that this woman stayed calm and didn't let her emotions take over the conversation. This is what you often see in a debate, when one points out other's errors and misconceptions they tend to get angry and agressive.
Could be she didn't have any counter argument, Her best bet was" There is almost no females who rape men" . To her defence she had never heard anybody defend against the patriarchy narrative that well so she was caught out.
I have thought about a lot to make a statement against male dominance but they turn out to be just stupid excuses. This man just made the best and boldest most accurate statement I have ever heard.
This man has guts shutting down a person like this, if I was in that position I would crumble down due to my “popularity” at school (I am called names that I am not so I try to keep quiet, quiet kid you know?) the voices in my head tell me what to do and what to say, this seems depressive but this is m life and this man gave me the courage to stand up for myself when I am getting signaled out for something that other people commit and such, utter bull to be called something you’re not, which is what’s been going around my school, there are more depressive people going off the edge due to this type of mentality, which sucks. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment, I just needed to vent (although this isn’t a website that I go to daily to vent). 🙏
The fact that wealth and capital are not very different from each other, shows that she had nothing else to say, which already makes her argument very weak.
I dont see any logic between pointing out that there are more men in prison and claim that there is no patriarchy. Men are in prison because they commited crime, that is totaly irrelevant for feminism, yet this hero of all bricklayers repeats it all the time :D
Not everything can be entirely logical as is morality. If you always go with "utilitarianism" then you might be tough as hell to deal with any possible disadvantages that might get inflicted on you.
"Nothing" that's why other refrained from listening to some men because they dont give consideration to the opinions of others. A good leader doesn't fully invalidate others' opinion regardless if that other is male or female.
No he didn’t destroy her. He destroyed himself. He interrupted her, he didn’t listen to her. He talked over her. His behaviour towards her proved the very thing that he unsuccessfully ‘argued’ against.
Her argument starts out as 1 thing then 'i could say terrible things happen to both sexes' exactly his point and exactly why the male dominance argument is ridiculous
I respect to the ends of the earth. Clearly a victim of our culture's fear mongering but, a very professional, emotionally balanced woman to say the least. Hard to find in anybody, let alone a feminist.
Boom. One of the best answers I’ve seen recently on this nonsense called feminism. This is what happens when the left actually lets the right complete their sentences.
Dr. Peterson: You are simply one of the most eloquent and well read educators around. I am so happy that you are standing up for mens rights against this baseless modern wave of feminist ideology.
I didn't get your point. The rapists are the ones who go to jail if proven guilty and if appropriate action is taken against them. So what do you mean '"Most rape victims are also men when considering prisons"? If they are in jail it's because they raped not because they got raped unless someone misused their power to put them in jail for getting raped which is absurd and WRONG.
@@Lisa-sg1of That’s assuming he is talking about rapists. My guess is he is referring to the general population in prison where the strong prey on the weak. Prison rapes aren’t just exclusive towards punishing rapists, it can also happen to other prisoners.
@@Lisa-sg1of his point is Jim’s prison name is Gina. And he’s open access, and now a b**** , to multiple men in jail. He does this or else he will be taken care of. This is common in prison regardless of the mans sentence.

I wouldn't really say as "destroy" as there was no fight in they were both very civilized and we have to give the interviewer credit for maintaining attitude and not freaking out like others or simply tryna push onto him like the "so you're saying" method of argument.
I read a book recently that more or less reinforces everything Peterson says here and more, with stats. It shocks me how capital F feminists look through their own lens and judge the world how they want to anyway despite stats.

@@BaremetalBaron I didn't know about the female guilds, thanks for the information. Voting is an excellent example to show that often we value security over freedom, but in medieval times neither men had the luxury to choose their lord, unless they rebelled against him.
I agree with JP on some things and disagree with him on other things. At least he is creating a dialog for people to discuss in a civilized manner.
100% agree with everything you said. Just one teenytiny detail... just coz he talks nice and puts his arguments well, doesn't mean he is talking gold. Never surrender critical analysis just coz the other person sounds like he knows better.

Yeah Oprah does that
Don't be fooled just because she was quiet . There is a "post interview" discussion where Peterson reviews the entire meeting, including the discussion they had prior to recording, which was not pleasant. Fact is, she was not expecting him to absolutely wipe the floor with her, and she was quiet only because Peterson gave her a good telling off. :-)
‘Roving bands of tyrannical male plumbers...’ this is why we love JP!
This guy keep on improving my mental health! :)
That's the result of feeling grounded. Happy for you bro. Accepting that not everything can be controlled is the the best feeling.
They both seemed very polite and considered each other points with a very calm rational
It's not all that difficult to destroy the feminist narrative. Just throw facts at them. JP does it quite well.
KingHill yes
KingHill lol we would starve and we know it
