i always click on parallel compression videos, not because i lack information about the technique, but because they always have juicy drums as examples
I love how some mf was like fuck compression sounds good but it sounds bad guess i'll just compress but also not compress and then sorta mix the two and it worked
Hey, just found your channel - thanks for your work! I've watched 2 of your videos and have learned so much (and it only took 2 minutes). It really helps a person with ADHD!

Parallel compression is the sauce
@ADHDPlugins parallel compression is my confession

My fav youtube channel fr
I believe Mick Gordon does this thing to drums
Im so glad that i found this channel, no 20+ minutes of yapping over some random bullshit but straight to the point good advice.
thank you adhd plugins for information I would never bother with otherwise
Bro ur goated 🔥
you could smash your parellel more. learning saturation curves and what not.
i always find that utilizing parallel anything builds delay and seems to condense quality or squash things
you are a treasure
Less messy to do that with a Patcher, and yuou can even save a preset
True, but I like to have my dry and parallel faders in the mixer
Great vid, keep it up!

Thank you!
How are the mixer channels routed in the first example that you showed? Is there only 1 copy of the drums in the playlist? Thanks
So a dry/wet mix for compression?
You can also do that. I love compressing Metal drums with Supercharger (the free version from NI) at 70% with the dry/wet at 75/25.
Goes kinda hard
Yes but I prefer this method. Dry/wet are sometimes not well programmed and usually you control both gains with only one knob
Glad to be the first
track name?
Haven't givn it one yet
