freeweb.siol.net/leonard/SGT-S...
hope you like it .. so LIKE it ;) thanks for the view and you are welcome to check other videos on my channel
(Larry Coryell, Al di Meola, Bireli Lagrene)
Astonishing! Three of the greatest musicians of all time!
bireli solo is the best and the best of this world
This was an absolute gem of a find. SO COOL. Wish Bireli was actually properly mixed into the whole sound... sounded like he was coming out of the PA in another venue. This is the first i've heard Lary Coryell and I think he's sick. Great version. oh and the ending part was fun to hear once but otherwise stupid ending (but who cares, it was top notch playing).
Look up Guitar Player Larry Coryell Spain for a crazy solo rendition UA-cam
I love all three of these guys, but I have to admit I dig Larry's solo the most, but the incredible thing is he's doing it on a twelve sting...
ITS JUST AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME,,♞🕇📀🕪🔊⏯NO MORE WORDS TO TALK ABOUT THIS SOUNDS TECHNICS DELIRIUM 🔝🔝🔝🔝⛦⛦🕇
EMOCION TOTAL. EL SOLO DE LARRY CORRYEL TODO CORAZON!!
A total classic!
on Al's facebook under his influences, the first name is Larry Coryell. I also believe Bireli was a student of Larry's. I think it said that on their Bolero CD. Larry Coryell, brought us a new sound that influenced me & MANY others. Larry the master of almost every genre.
I think that you are absolutely spot-on! Larry Coryell was maximally great, along with Jerry Reed and--of course!--Howard Roberts!
Haha that's so true, the first 10 seconds or so of 5:47 that Coryell plays alone are more inspired than the whole of Di Meola's solo before that ;)
Really Love Spain one of the best Jazzsongs i ever heard , thank Chick Corea^^
Trois anges à la guitare!!!🙏❤️❤️❤️🙏
oh god and larry tooo!!!
Chick Corea's written lots of great music; when his obit is written (not for decades, I hope), this tune (all props to Rodrigo) will be mentioned every time.
I think this performance of it was stupendous, and anybody that's dismissing the appearance if the "technique" of any of the performers should listen with their eyes closed.
(Leave it to Coryell to burn acoustic fusion on a 12-string.)
Very nice groove
Great music and playing.
Bravo
Claude
that rhythm part on 2:14 - 2:36 was fantastic
@cosmiclight Yeah, Coryell's contribution here was the standout. All of these guys are Titans, but Coryell just tore this song a new one.
Love Larrys playing since the seventies and Bireli has been making records since he was thirteen and has his own unique voice also, long live gypsy guitarists!!! Di Meola just disappeared it seems, where is he now anyways?
lol di meola is the most famous now, he still tours
this is the best version of Spain I've ever heard
god bless for uploading this wonder for heavennnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!
Al is amazing!! the best in this!
nice one for uploading the mp3, much appreciated. birelis solo, just, wow. wow.
impresionanteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee IMPRESIONANNTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
MAJESTUOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! QUE GENIOS POR DIOS!! QUE GENIOS!!!
Aldi meola es impresionante como toca
The best version of spain! Perfect!
Boy that 12 string has such a resonance.
Wow ❤️
i totally agree.
heyyyyyyyy oh shi.... this video is the best which i have ever seen.:d:d
pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can you put the complete concert on internet???
beybey,
thaks
julien
Good stuff.
If these guys were playing in your home town you wouldn't be complaining.
Just because they land big gigs don't mean there up for head cutting for the spotlight. Maybe they just play because they love it and this is how it comes out.
Quit making music a competition because you can't compete in the real world.
SUPER WOOOWW!
I love Bireli!!! My dream trio: Paco, Bireli and Al
I love it, wow!
BELÍSSIMO !!!
BRAVO !!
I don't know much about that story, but surely Birelli is playing great and he's without a doubt great player on the same level or better level like Al and Larry... Download the audio link, it has better sound for Birelli's guitar ;)
BRAVOOOOOOO!!!!!!
omg please please re-up this with birelis solo audible, from what i can just about hear of it, it sounds like an absolute beast! i will actually fly to wherever you are and buy you a pint if you do it
remarkable!
@reibian Are you kidding. Larry is an incredible straight ahead player and blues player from the from the very tradition you speak. To help you in your listening check out Larry's cds: Monk trane miles and me, Toko Du, Impressions, power trio live,Inner urge, Major Jazz minor blues,Cedars of Avalon New High. Thats enough to get you up to speed. I hope you are young because you sound it.
At 5:47 you'll notice the grand master *(Coryell is said to have influenced Di Miola, McGlaughlin, Scofield, and many others - Larry is much older than these guys) * See an earlier work, the "Julia La Belle" piece from "The Restful Mind" here in UA-cam he performs on acoustic.
He steals the piece here with his amazing individual jazz mastery that he is in the guitar history books for. They all do a nice job together though. Very nice live collaborative performance from all three.
Impressive !!!
I apologize for mispelling Di Meola and McLaughlin, as Flamencanta has pointed out. I believe I got Scofield right.
you're completely right man, bireli had to re -adjust the tempo many times, for example ...and he was without volume with awful sound plus .
one thing al has that many other guys don't is class and style. it's easy to be a hack like gambale.
al di meola's guitar hads a veeeeeery low action that helps him a lot
@OmriLahavComposer Malone is a great player as well. Tacky and cheap is a very good definition of being a blog critic. All high level musicians are good whether you like what they are doing at a particular moment out of the thousands and thousands of hours that they have played.
@pulseof the technique is actually called chording. A lot like soloing but instead of playing one note you play the chord in the chord progression with the right rythm. Flamenco and Bossa Nova players ahve been doing it for years.
@cosmiclight He is 23 years older than Lagrene, but only 9 years older than DiMeola.
incredible, the guy under me has it right
i saw this in my guitar class
@cosmiclight Larry isn't exactly much older, or whatever. Eleventh House wasn't out that much earlier than when Return to Forever signed on DiMeola.
*Stratoleft: Not sure what I was referring to about Coryell's age but I don't remember comparing the time of Eleventh House to Return to Forever signing on Di Meola. Coryell was playing and performing professionally his early guitar work in the early-mid 1960's when Di Meola was still in middle grade school! Check the Wikipedia history on both.
yeah, nice version
Birelli wurde vom Tontechniker leider geschnitten. Sein Solo ist am differenzierten.
@sstargazer004 Ok I googled and the song is called Spain, lol. I thought it was a concert IN Spain, not the name of the song xD.
Bireli at 5:51 thinking "damn that Coryell really knows his shit"! lol then his smile says it all
At one time Larry was considered one of the greatest. He fell into alcohol and also heroin addiction at one point. A shame. He left behind numerous recordings including this one that show what a master he was
@charliehustlenflow If you can't answer your own question I am sure I can't answer it for you. However, I do think Bireli and Al are 2 of the alltime greatest guitarists. And you may be correct that we should all just enjoy the music.
i wish i could do riffs like that with my voice at the end there... omg
@cosmiclight that extra guitarrist is not scofield is Birelli lagrane who is an excellent guitarrist
@leolardo:
of course I appreciate, no offense intended.
If anything sucks about the vid, it's youtube. not the players, or even you. :-)
@cosmiclight Larry isn't exactly much older, or whatever. Eleventh House wasn't out that much earlier than when Return to Forever signed on DiMeola.
please someone do something about the video. You cant hear anything else in the end but Corryel killing everybody with his picking technique
@xemosintightsx Actually I prefer Coryells 12 string playing in this vid. Each to their own. And , I was using 1967 as a reference point to begin with Coryell's catalog. This year check out Duality with Kenny Drew Jr fantastic duet and Montgomery - a drumless trio. They are both fantastic. Incidentally, I saw your vid playing summertime and enjoyed it. Good luck in your playing you certainly have the talent.
lemotoftheweek: it's actually my fault because original video is in AC3, and when i needed to reencode Bireli's guitar was kinda lost, due to how AC3 and the microphones were set.. if you need original VOB maybe you should try to contact me
My new composition rarely performed (iberian Air) featuring me and the group officina acustica quartet ,(a musical project based on re -interpretation of Gismonti Piazzolla,Corea and many original composition)
Soon my original transcription(NOT TAB) of the song available on my web site.
Thanks to all the web friend who write me for my video!
claudio bellato

very good!!
nice (*^-゜)vThanks!
@leoosiku Might as well leave those alone who do not appreciate these Masters. I do not believe Larry, Al or Bireli need to be defended anyway. Their abilities speak for themselves (to those who a palate for taste). I guess that is why they make $3 bottles of wine for those who cannot appreciate the Master Wines.
@dorian411:
agreed. I think it's mostly due to the sound, if I remember correctly from watching the DVD it's much better there, great fun. especially Bireli Lagrene (who was a mindblowing discovery for me) can hardly be heard here. overall, to me it just doesn't sound well-blended together. maybe that's because of the stereo (or 5.1) to mono conversion.
and then, yeah, their playing sounds a little un-inspired, workinghorse-alike.
Hey MahavishnuBoy, I am not crazy Shawn Lane, the cat can throw down. Check out his "hey T-Bone". I see you are a McLaughlin fan. Saw him many times, as long as 37 years ago. Love John but he still sounds the same. Check out Bireli Lagrene, Sylvain Luc, Guthrie Govan, Stochelo Rosenberg and tell me I am loco.
Try to read description, won't hurt you.
"I tried to upload sound with HiQuality but youtube decode's it to mono.
update: download the mp3 if you cant hear good from this link
. "
24 strings?
@pulseof and also sometimes they shift fingering to make sus2 and sus4 chords.
are you sure that for lagrene's 3 mm at 12 th fret ?
@pulseof I suppose- the rhythm and beat is more important. I doubt that's the chord progression though- looks like the entire scale there. In this song at least they vamp on a static chord quite often but with varying rhythms.
What's the name of this song?
The melody in 7:11 to 7:19 it's awesome. I want to play it.
I feel bad for the last guy. Can't really hear him
that tone is ghastly
More reverb and white sox please. Just fooling. Fantastic players.
al is like ....... "silence!" haha
i laughed - lol :)
Bireli doin much better on himself and Al "showmanship" is a pain in the ass
I agree Axiluss, Larry's harmonics are amazing. I love Al D's shreds, but Larry has the imagination & creativity so all his songs do not sound the same. I like shred sometimes too-Batio,Shawn Lane stuff.
AND TZAVARIOUS 81 if Larry sucks, who do you think is good?
@lens2optic exactly
i think al visited advanced hair studio for follicle replacement.
@xemosintightsx More creative than Coryell? Good drugs you have. Do a little research on Larry starting about 1967 ( probably before you were born) and you will find that he has been and is presently one of the great guitar innovators of the past 50 years. That being said, Birelli is one of the greatest guitarists around today. He was an incredible prodigy- I remember seeing him live with a wonderful guitarist Christian Escoude and Birelli was only 12. A monumental talent.
@leoosiku I guess I like 300 yen bottle of Sake instead of $60 botttle of Bordeaux. In UA-cam video "Autumn Leaves Pt1 - Farlow Abercrombie Carlton Coryell " I like Scofield, Abercrombie, the rest and Carlton on the botttom. You can lead a horse to water, but you know... ;p
BIRELI LAGRENE IS THE BEST
@banjoneely Larry... predictable? lol. He is the only innovator on stage.
How on earth can you beat that?
you really dont appreciate anything do you? i uploaded the mp3 in case of bad quality.due to youtube low standards it has to be coded in shit. i have the dvd .. bah nevermind
ive always much preferred larrys thoughtful melodic style to the speed playing of al and co......its initially impressive but with repeated listens has no substance.
@xemosintightsx Welcome-not vids but cd's
I kinda dislike the ending... :(
by the way, why Birelli's guitar sounded quieter?
btw they're playing music, whether you like it or not, but they like it. All musics are good, otherwise no one will like it.
there is parts that are better and more inspired than the Paco De Lucia/mcLaughlin's version that you can watch (ans listen to) on UA-cam, but, overall, i find this performance uneven.
