PepsiInc ;3 the problem with growing up is you can't stop it. people say they'll be the same way for life..but that only counts if you plan on being homeless. lol. responsibility sneaks up on you. you either jump in early or it hits you later in life and it changes you. not to say life is going to suck and you are going to turn into some hardass douchenozzle. but having to take care of yourself and/or others for the rest of your life changes your perspective no matter who you are. My dad..bless the place his heart should have been, told me my junior year in high school what life as an adult would be all about.. quote unquote " Joseph, when you graduate high school. you will have completed 12 years of education. that's 12 years of your life dedicated to teaching you how to be an upstanding citizen.. and then you get a part time job. a good one... so you can afford college at least. then after college which should take 8-10 years if your going for your doctorate which i expect of you,son.. then you get a full-time job. 12-14 hours a day every day except Sunday which is your optional off-day because doctors are never truly off. then you do that for 40 years or so until you retire..in which you will be one of few people who can actually afford to retire... and by that time me and your mother will be unable to take care of ourselves.. so you'll do that for us.. you'll have money and a medical degree. that's my dream for you son.. to take care of me and mom. now get out there and enjoy life"
PepsiInc ;3 To quote Bernard Malamud: "We have two lives the one we learn with and the life we live after that." - The Natural. This is the essence of adulthood; to understand that every action has a consequence, whether good or bad. This doesn't mean you can't live a life being young at heart so long as you recognize that you have responsibilities that must be met!
My friend and I were seriously just talking about this less than an hour ago. We're adults now and have been friends since we were in diapers. As kids we wanted to grow up so badly, thinking we'd have all this freedom and can do whatever we wanted. Boy were we wrong. We both agreed childhood was much more fun and carefree! Now we've got bills to pay and what not.
I know later that I'll have that feeling, I'm 14 right now and no matter how much I try to enjoy being a kid and do fun kid stuff, I can't wait to be an adult and be able to drive a car and own my own house and stuff like that. I knew I'd have a similar feeling when moving from elementary school to jr high, because I knew I'd have a lot more homework and stuff to do, so when I was in 6th grade I constantly told myself that when I was in middle school I wouldn't look back at my 6th grade self and wish that I enjoyed elementary school more, because in 6th grade I really didn't feel that much better than I do now, because I was so used to the small amounts of homework and waking up late that all of it just felt normal, and I wanted so badly to have more stuff to do... Basically I'm just saying that when I'm 30, I'm not going to look back at my school years as something I completely wasted, because at that time it all felt normal to me. And also I think why kids want grow up and adults want to be kids again is because we get bored of our normal life and want a change...whatever, live in the moment people
ashley johnson wha whaa such a stereotypical response by someone who remembers having a perfect and easy childhood and can't figure out how to manage their lives in a n enjoyable way now that they've been given the freedom that adolescents and you Americans are always screaming about
Hiphop101ize Americans aren't the only ones who are like that. I've lived in both the US and the UK and both sets of people can feel that way. It's completely natural.

I agree with you. They keep on saying that "You should grow up and be more mature."Well, thats how life works.Be too serious and grow old,not knowing how to live while you're young.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Sara has that classic noir look in the thumbnail shot. I could picture her in a B&W movie, telling the leading man she had to leave & work at Buzzfeed. The teddy bear throws it off.
AValveFanboy A true adult is someone who lives his/her own life however they want instead of giving a shit about society's opinion. Rakeem Beckett-Scott Well everyone has got to do it at one point and if everyone else can do it so can you. Also good for you appreciating the moment. Most people only appreciate something when they are an adult looking back on how easy it was.

Wow, I'm 13 now and all of my friends tend to be like 'mature' and 'grown up'. Wearing ridiculous T-shirt,hangout with friends to places for adult and other adult things. Am I the only one who tend to act what I suppose to be? Like in my age, enjoying school, doing things that you like. When I told them what did I watch last time, they always said that I'm so immature. I'm not angry because I did admit it.
+Mayumi Sora Those girls think they are mature by putting makeup on and stuff, but the day they realize that being an adult is not just doing what you want and playing sexy, but also earning money, paying taxes, and take care of your own cleaning/cooking and so on, they´ll realize they lost time trying to be adults when they should have enjoyed their teenage years...The truth is you are more mature than them being objective about your age and enjoying it. They are immature for they are pretending to be something they have no idea about.
charlotte vegan thank you :) at least someone do think how fast time passed away. Soon, they'll regret what did they do. idk why they that way. attention sucker
+Sleepy Panda I know the feel. I'm 15 and my friend told me I need to grow up (which is funny 'cause I'm the oldest in our friend group and he's the youngest) because I still enjoy cartoons, video games, comic books, etc. And I'm just like, I'm a freshman in high school, that's the type of stuff I SHOULD be into!
I'm 12. And i still play with toys. And the other girls in my class Are putting on makeup, and they look 2years older. And i'm just sitting here playing with my toys, looking like a 9 year old.
I'm almost 15 and I have so many pop! figures and games and plushies and I only put on a tiny bit of makeup to hide my acne with and I didn't start wearing makeup until I turned 14 while everyone else in my class wore tons so hey don't worry
I had this moment when I was watching Say Yes to the Dress last night and realised that the brides were all around my age. Like these people are getting married and starting families and I'm lying in bed at my parents house watching crappy reality television.
Before watching this video I was so sad because tomorrow I'm turning 24 and I still don't feel like an adult. I enjoy silly things and do fun stuff. People always tell you that you should grow up if you what to be something in life. But what really matters is to be true to yourself and everything will come eventually. Thanks for this Buzzfeed! 💜
I am 24 yrs old woman and I totally appreciate and relate to this! Grown up probably is a continuing process that never ends as long as we live. Life will always be challenging at every stage in its own way. I think part of the key is stop comparing your life with others' life. Some people will always have what you don't have and you will constantly have to "catch up". Every life is unique and of course there is no set way people have to live their life. I'm sure you already have, if not, will have some thing(s) others don have! I think we need to stop judging each other based on what someone has or does not have, because every life is valuable just the way it is and our differences make our lives interesting. Life to me is NOT a checklist nor a race to see who can have the most.
InLKdream you are not alone ! I am your age and still act silly! i mean pretty much all the time. and i feel weird because my peers are getting married, having kids, getting really good jobs and buying houses :( ugh.
I'm 24 too and I'm not anything productive with my life xD I think young people in u.s. and europe are more mature at my age, they live with their bf and have a job and car and stuff...I live in iran and you can't live with a guy until you're married and I don't want to get married (plus I don't have a bf xD ) and there are no jobs so people my age just continue their education until they die so there's no money and no house and no car xD my dad pays for everything and that's pretty much it xD
***** Well you see what I meant is that for my age, (I'm 13) I'm very immature, and I don't want to grow up. Like seriously my friend and I make up imaginary friends for fun... Yah...I may need help...
Izkandar Aziz okay but after hours of cuddling with her you're eventually going to start to want to kiss, then makeout, and you're going to get an erection or wet or whatever otherwise you have a low sex drive lol
I'm 40 something and I'm never going to grow up! (I'm responsible and pay my bills etc) I'm old fashioned, quite innocent and still have the mind of a seven year old! Fairies and unicorns rock!!!! 🦄🐲🌸🌺🌸🌺🍄🐬🦄👼
sameeeee but i am 1 year younger than you, and still hugging it every night, idk if that's weird or not buti just can't throw it away because it's a huge part of my childhood
Being an adult means having to do certain responsibilities yourself but at the same time you can still be immature... my parents are well over their 50s but they still act like big kids XD
*looks at her teddy bear* i won't give you up, i won't break my promise to you even if i'm older i'll still keep you and if i have kids , i'll share you with them you made my childhood happy and you were the only one there when i had no one your my best friend and you have a place in my heart even if your a toy , your my toy and your my hero *hugs her teddy bear even tho its now smaller than her*
Same thing happened to me, I'm 23 and I still feel that I'm a little girl, but when I meet my old friends same age of me, most of them get married and have kids and taking responsibility of a family, at that moment I feel so weird, really! People are so different
That's basically my life right now. I'm 25 now and while two of my friends have married, one is pregnant with her first child, four other couples have built their own houses and I'm just sitting here like, yeah, next year I'll have finished my studies and I'll probably find a job then... But before that, let's go to as many medieval festivals as possible, dream up stories and eat all the chocolate!!
Honestly, I wanted to be in my 20s since I was 15, I had my close friends, supportive family, everything was cool, just didn't like the high school era, always felt like we were forced to do everything at school and at home, currently in my mid-20s and have loved every year since, have had a lot of major ups and downs, travel when I want to, move anywhere I want to, be able to have mature and immature conversations, I just refuse to get married in my 20s, its only been 5 years and I still have 5 years left until my 30s, 40s 50s and 60s will be a completely different chapter, marriage can wait
There's those adults who have the inner mind of a child and then there's those little children who have the souls of 89 yr olds who've seen everything and make insensitive jokes
t's ironic how the people who get too hung up over acting mature and thinking themselves too old to do anything fun are often acting very childish. Like a child on a playground telling others they are baby if they still want their teddybear or such. My advice would be that you'll have a lot more fun in life if you can keep embracing it with childlike enthusiasm. The only thing we should strive to outgrow as adults is a childish mindset. Have fun in life, without neglecting your responsibilities.
Even I don't want to grow up. Also, little kids, if you're watching this, don't expect to grow up so soon. Once you grow up, it's gonna be like that forever.
I'm a womanchild. I shall always be a socially awkward woman child and that is ok. I LIKE LIVE ACTION ROLEPLAY AND RENAISSANCE FAIRS AND LUCKY CHARMS GO AHEAD AND JUDGE ME I DON'T CARE.

Squishietoys I'm 14 and I still like watching kids movies. XD
I'm almost 15 and I have so many pop! figures and games and plushies and I only put on a tiny bit of makeup to hide my acne with and I didn't start wearing makeup until I turned 14 while everyone else in my class wore tons so hey don't worry
Squishietoys SAME.
i am 24 years old :
still live with my parents
have no job
have no friends
have no partner
spent 99% of my time on the internet...

It's been 3 years since posting. How's life now? Doing better?
That's my sister, but she's 19...
Join the club, we got jackets
I had this moment when I was watching Say Yes to the Dress last night and realised that the brides were all around my age. Like these people are getting married and starting families and I'm lying in bed at my parents house watching crappy reality television.
Before watching this video I was so sad because tomorrow I'm turning 24 and I still don't feel like an adult. I enjoy silly things and do fun stuff. People always tell you that you should grow up if you what to be something in life. But what really matters is to be true to yourself and everything will come eventually. Thanks for this Buzzfeed! 💜
Colour looks so good in Sarah's hair ❤️
But it looks so dry...
That is kinda true, but it's like it brings her arty side out
Hasibur Rahim yea I dont like it either, but its her hair so I wont judge ;)
I'm 23 and this is soooo relatable
Life to me is NOT a checklist nor a race to see who can have the most.
im 32 and still have fun.......... be creative fun love laugh and be happy
I still watch cartoons and I'm 17......
That's normal
Shane Bermundo Trust me, that's not changing until at least 20 (I'm not 20 yet so I dunno), or I'm just a childish 18 year old .-.
Shane Bermundo Well i'm 23 and still do.
Does anime count?
Watch anime like Naruto instead of cartoons xD
Hi everyone I'm 24 years old and I have Peter Pan syndrome.
InLKdream is that actual thing?
InLKdream you are not alone ! I am your age and still act silly! i mean pretty much all the time. and i feel weird because my peers are getting married, having kids, getting really good jobs and buying houses :( ugh.
InLKdream I like how nobody seemed to have caught your snide sarcasm XD
InLKdream I'm 22, same heere
That's amazing xD
If being adult means being rude, unfriendly and unfunny - I better stay how I am...
+Maryam M exactly like how it is here in saudi arabia we're so much alike why are we fighting LOL
Srishti Goyal I feel you believe me :D
yeaj xD
U mean you're still in university?
asdfgh123456978 Yeah, I'll be defending my thesis in 4 months to get my master's degree.
I grew up watching them as a teen. Now I am in my 20s and watching them again brings back so much nostalgia
I do not want to grow up....
I shall be stupid forever :D
Cheers!
AlexDragonMagic I don't know what that means... I literally stopped growing at age 14, I'm 22 now I can't grow any further...
Perfect response
Cause baby if I did, I wouldn't be a toysRus kid?
***** Well you see what I meant is that for my age, (I'm 13) I'm very immature, and I don't want to grow up. Like seriously my friend and I make up imaginary friends for fun...
Yah...I may need help...
Sara for Top bae for buzzfeed INC 2K15?
1 like = 1 agree
Axel linares For me.. it's her or Allison :) ...
***** They use them in the videos o.O?
Idk I just think Sara it's such a calm person that would try to make you feel better when you're sad and be loyal
Agree
Acting like an adult is overrated.
Growing up = searching for pie charts on google
“Did you come from art class or something?” God that hit me like a truck
Quinta needs a whole video causing havoc in the office with that fart machine lol
I must be amaaazing to work at Buzzfeed man!
love sara ♥
Jessie Gomez you forgot a 'h' of the end of the word.
Mary W Really? I'm sorry :)
David M. G. WTF???I never think of doing such a thing to her.She is just sooo cute.
Izkandar Aziz okay but after hours of cuddling with her you're eventually going to start to want to kiss, then makeout, and you're going to get an erection or wet or whatever otherwise you have a low sex drive lol
Quinta's Bulma shirt though!
I'm 40 something and I'm never going to grow up! (I'm responsible and pay my bills etc) I'm old fashioned, quite innocent and still have the mind of a seven year old! Fairies and unicorns rock!!!! 🦄🐲🌸🌺🌸🌺🍄🐬🦄👼
There is something mesmerizing, irresistible & adorable about Sara.
Sara is life; Sara is love. I am addicted to Sara.
Arghh! FML!
“ Am I not an adult”
Teddy Bear: whehrhbruhebdb
Me so relatable, I am 16 and still talk to my stuffed animals maybe that’s why I am introvert!
sameeeee but i am 1 year younger than you, and still hugging it every night, idk if that's weird or not buti just can't throw it away because it's a huge part of my childhood
Lê Ngọc same!!
Being an adult means having to do certain responsibilities yourself but at the same time you can still be immature... my parents are well over their 50s but they still act like big kids XD
*looks at her teddy bear* i won't give you up, i won't break my promise to you
even if i'm older i'll still keep you and if i have kids , i'll share you with them
you made my childhood happy and you were the only one there when i had no one
your my best friend and you have a place in my heart even if your a toy , your my toy and your my hero
*hugs her teddy bear even tho its now smaller than her*
Lol I’m 27 and very single so I feel this in my bones - esp the part where her friend shows her engagement ring !
This video:Trying to grow up
Next video:Struggles of being an old soul
Pft just be you! The immature, but always innocent and smiling, amazing person you are:D
Same thing happened to me, I'm 23 and I still feel that I'm a little girl, but when I meet my old friends same age of me, most of them get married and have kids and taking responsibility of a family, at that moment I feel so weird, really! People are so different
"There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes."- Tom Baker
The only unrealistic thing about that was a 24 year old financial analyst buying a house.
That's basically my life right now. I'm 25 now and while two of my friends have married, one is pregnant with her first child, four other couples have built their own houses and I'm just sitting here like, yeah, next year I'll have finished my studies and I'll probably find a job then... But before that, let's go to as many medieval festivals as possible, dream up stories and eat all the chocolate!!
this era of buzzfeed>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
“To get back one's youth one has merely to repeat one's follies.”
Heard that somewhere? Hmm...
Brian V. Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde :)
This is just a message for anyone that needs it: never let anyone look down on your youthfulness, but instead show it off.
What is this maturity you speak of? (Proceeds coloring Barbie's face with crayon)
Kids acting like adults and adults acting like kids what a world
24?!? Girl can't even rent a car yet! Talk to me when you're in your 30s but in the same spot in life
Sara is killin it when she walks in with her business outfit
and this video shows as well how important friendships are even for adults. i'm loving it
"The cutest little 3 story house"
I'm sorry I didn't realise 3 story houses were small
There's those adults who have the inner mind of a child
and then there's those little children who have the souls of 89 yr olds who've seen everything and make insensitive jokes
I wanna work at buzzfedd
V
OtakuN3ss no you dont
QUINTA'S BULMA CREW SWEATSHIRT!!!!!!! It's awesomeness level is over 9000!!!!

Is Quinta wearing a Bulma shirt from DragonBall??? Oh my God... ❤
That t-shirt is on fleek and one more reason to love QuintaB😍
I thought the title said trying to glow up
Cause same
t's ironic how the people who get too hung up over acting mature and thinking themselves too old to do anything fun are often acting very childish.
"There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes." - 4th Doctor.
Even I don't want to grow up. Also, little kids, if you're watching this, don't expect to grow up so soon. Once you grow up, it's gonna be like that forever.
This is me. This is my entire life, my friends dress and act so grown up and I'm just like lol avengers is awesome
I'm not ever going to be your definition of mature.
I'm going to be 30 and sitting in pajamas with the feet watching cartoons and eating Lucky Charms.

Does anyone constantly keep up with the hair of the people of buzzfeed?
omg sara is soooo pretty.
Avie Azie Yeah, True :D
I'm a womanchild. I shall always be a socially awkward woman child and that is ok.
I LIKE LIVE ACTION ROLEPLAY AND RENAISSANCE FAIRS AND LUCKY CHARMS GO AHEAD AND JUDGE ME I DON'T CARE.
Growing up is a fact of life. Being an adult is a choice that no one ever wants to make
Sarahs little cat puppet thing is adorable . I want it • ^ •
