So I was a little upset when the video sped up because I was actually expecting something ridiculous at first but I quickly got over it because watching the process of the build was wicked cool bud! Really shows how much effort goes into building something that a lot of people take for granted! Keep up the great work bud! 🤘
Me too! This bass is beautiful with the wood and all the hip-shot hardware. I might put active/electric pickups in though but other than that, this looks perfect. Indeed, a beautiful work of art!
Looks amazing. For me, Precision body is THE bass. And no pickguard lets that wood really show up. Always go with no pickguard. You can show the wood and the grain or do some really cool graphics/finishes.
Yes but how does it sound ? Is the wood nicely resonant i.e. which part of the tree is it, what's the fibre direction, how has it been aged / dried... ?
Sounds great, there is another video of it being played pinned here in the comments. The neck woods are quarter-sawn, the body wings were live-sawn and the moisture content of the wood was
Love this video, watched several times. Only gripe is that neck looks THICK, personal preference, I'm just more into thin necks. Love this video and also the sound demo.
See I've never understood thin necks, but I do have freakishly large hands so having somewhere to put my thumb further back is easier for me. I used to play a ibanez sound gear bass with a extremely thin neck that was just so uncomfortable but now I play a epiphone explorer bass and the neck is perfect for me.
Thank you for saying a few wordsat the begining too many YT luthiers set a video to music and fast forward ... but would have liked it more if it was a 30min video

Your comment is clickbait. He had a long intro.
no it is clickbait because he didnt actualy make it in 5 minutes it is just sped up
ItsJellyPie I think he meant the whole build crammed into 5 minutes.
Lock him in the shop overnight, and find the place filled with hundreds of p-basses in the morning lol
lololol
I like how you can hear the saws and stuff under the music. It's a nice touch.

What's amazing is that, even though this video seems like it's sped up, this is actual real time :O

P-Bass Demo Video: ua-cam.com/video/l8E4F8HHdYI/v-deo.html
do u freehand the neck pocket?!
yes, was all freehand with the plunge router and cleaned up the edges with a chisel.
@@LadnyGuitars Superb!
How do you adjust the neck? Didn't see a truss rod.
:50 second mark~
@@LadnyGuitars I have a doubt about the truss rod, you have glued it into the neck?
Just the housing of it is, the U-channels truss rod is free to move and works really well.
#bassporn :D, nice work, ! quiero uno!
What kind of Trussrod are you using? Doesn't look like the Normal Trussrods you typically see
U-Channel
Hahahaha "uningelligible mumblings" xD i'm gonna LIKE this vid just after seeing that, no matter how it's going on the rest of it ^_^
4:54 OMG!!!
Awesome bass, but I need to watch the vid again, focused too much on the music. But that beat tho...😂 😂
Holy fuckin shit bro
You epoxy the actual truss rod housing into the neck?
it's a U-channel truss rod, and I do epoxy the sides of it into the route, yes.
Were it so easy...
please share this track on soundcloud, it's awesome!
Do many vise grips
Chandler?
Very impressive but can you slap like Davie504 ?
Davie Who?...
@@LadnyGuitars that'd be a great name for a band 😆
