I live in a apartment thats too small for my wheelchair. I'm kind of obsessed with having a clean house. Can you help me figure out what will take off the scoff marks. 😊😊❤❤
I cleaned my mom's apartment and used magic sponge on the black marks from her rollator walker. Didn't work well on her white walls because they were painted with flat paint but if yours are semi gloss or satin it would work better.
Can try a water dampened rag dipped in little baking soda and spot clean marks. (always test in a hidden area, make sure it's safe and doesn't dull any finishes.) I like to use a little plate or small container for my mini spot cleans. Then wipe with a clean damp rag. A knock off majic eraser from Dollar store dampened. Tennis ball works on scuffs too, with a little rubbing. Can even put a slit in tennis ball and put an old broom handle into the tennis ball so you can use it like a mop easier on the back for floor scuffs.-John's wife
purple power automotive degreaser worked well to remove 9 years of grease build up from cooking smoke on the top of my wood cabinets. The grease was thick and like wax. I sprayed it on, let it sit about a minute. It liquified the grease so scrubbing was easy and it came completely off without damaging the surface which was like the inside of the cabinets. It's laminate. Not bare wood. It will work well on metal too. I haven't tried it on the doors of the cabinets though.
I have not had good luck with Bissel products. I have found they are made with cheap parts! I was wondering if you have had good luck with the steamer and if you have had it very long?
You complained about toothbrush bristles not being quite stiff enough. I have a solution for you, denture cleaning brushes! They have slightly stored bristles and are just as handy although a little bigger. Wal-Mart, and most drug stores I suspect, carry them. Hope you like them.:)
I've kept that secret for years. I have lots of cleaning secrets. I'm always thinking that if I tell the world, I won't be able to find the items anymore. Want to know my secret product that cleans everything? You just use it straight or diluted. It's been around for ages and I only find it at ACE today.
@@lalopez1221 HaHa I noticed that someone else mentioned this product in the messages. It's been around forever and I only find it at ACE today. It's Lestoil. It cleans anything and and everything. Not to be confused with Lysol or Pinesol. It's Lestoil.
Iy use a nail brush or dental brush (not a tooth brush) for smaller places like the corners and ridges in cabinets. The bristles on the brush are a lot firmer. Great video. Love Dawn for grease removal too! Murphys oil soap smells amazing!

Can Murphy Oil Soap be used on our Kraftmaid Hickory (painted with Translucent Limestone coloring? It’s a light coloring paint on top of the hickory wood. Very translucent! You can see the wood grain show through…but a paint, nonetheless.) Would that wood oil soap be okay to use? Love the shine!
Yeah it''s the BEST and NO SCRUBBING with brushes., but your comment is a fail because you didn't tell everybody the whole name. Go to the auto parts store and but either the spray bottle or the gallon jug of CASTROL SUPER CLEAN. It's a heavy duty degreaser that;s biodegradable, nontoxic & made of natural ingredients that just wipes grease & that sticky greasy film away with no scrubbing! It also is a GREAT bug killer and kills bugs on contact, just give 'em a squirt or two and they're dead in a minute or less. Try it, you won't want to clean a kitchen, car tires, wiper blades or engine without it ever again!
Almost anywhere! Home Depot/ Lowe’s/Walmart/ grocery store… it’s amazing! I buy the concentrate and mix it in my own spray bottle, adding more for those really tough jobs😄
My husband and I moved into our apartment 6 years ago and the outside of the metal hood over the stove feels sticky (like there’s grease on it). I’ve tried cleaning it several times with Clorox wipes and also with pure vinegar but they don’t seem to work. I never thought about using Dawn dish detergent.
Seems like they've discontinued the Murphy's oil soap with orange? Can't seem to find it here (Vancouver), and on Amazon it's $30+ a bottle! What's a good alternative product? I'm afraid to try goo gone because in the past when I've used it on anything it stained the wood 😢
Another great tip is to use a Pre + Probiotic cleaner to keep fighting those germs long after you wipe! Clean Habits keeps cleaning for 5 days after your initial clean 🫧
ihave painted cabinets in my kitchen and they are off white. how do i clean without removing the paint? ive never had these kind of cabinets before they look terrible above the stove. grease with dust stuck to it. need to sell this place.
I really do appreciate your cleaning tips. Anything that condenses cleaning time is a blessing. I do wish you wouldn't talk quite so fast during your tutorials. Tennis ball works on scuffs too, with a little rubbing. Can even put a slit in tennis ball and put an old broom handle into the tennis ball so you can use it like a mop easier on the back for floor scuffs.-John's wife
Full strength Lestoil. Rub it on and let sit for 15 minutes. Wipe off with a Terry cloth. Then wipe with a damp rag several times.
I love lestoil. I’m afraid at full strength it may damage the finish though.
Have never heard of this product. Thought the first person that used it above had made typo for Lysol.
Such helpful videos!😊👍💪 Thnx Andrea Jean!🤗😉
Thank you so much HF!
I love your videos! I have greasy kitchen ceiling. Specially above stove. Does anyone have an idea dove power wash spray work on ceiling?
Question...does this technique work with cabinets that are painted?
purple power automotive degreaser worked well to remove 9 years of grease build up from cooking smoke on the top of my wood cabinets.
My first Bissell pet that I got 20 years ago was great. The last two I have gotten were junk.
Do you have a link/coupon code for the Bissell Steam Shot you showed at the end?
I used Jubilee on my kitchen cabinets and it did the same thing. I love that stuff but it's hard to find.
Great tips , thanks for sharing. I hate that sticky feel on the cabinets! 💕
Thank you Grace!
Question. Would you still use Murphy's Oil Soap on painted wood (like white paint) or would the diluted Dawn suffice?
You complained about toothbrush bristles not being quite stiff enough. I have a solution for you, denture cleaning brushes! They have slightly stored bristles and are just as handy although a little bigger. Wal-Mart, and most drug stores I suspect, carry them. Hope you like them.:)
Great idea
Good idea since the bristles are pointy on one side making them ideal to get into crevices.
I've kept that secret for years. I have lots of cleaning secrets. I'm always thinking that if I tell the world, I won't be able to find the items anymore. Want to know my secret product that cleans everything? You just use it straight or diluted. It's been around for ages and I only find it at ACE today.
@@marybrown7203 ??
@@lalopez1221 HaHa I noticed that someone else mentioned this product in the messages. It's been around forever and I only find it at ACE today. It's Lestoil. It cleans anything and and everything. Not to be confused with Lysol or Pinesol. It's Lestoil.
They need to do this at my local Denny's front room . Should take about a month to finish.
Denny's restaurant ,. Has a front room ?😐
I like the toothbrush for the corners with dawn
Great video and tips thanks for sharing 👌👌👌
Simple green will clean anything
Iy use a nail brush or dental brush (not a tooth brush) for smaller places like the corners and ridges in cabinets. The bristles on the brush are a lot firmer. Great video. Love Dawn for grease removal too! Murphys oil soap smells amazing!
You mentioned dental brush not sure what that is but I found that dollar store denture brushes work wonderfully for getting into corners and crevices!
@@tinaegeness4170 I meant denture brush. Sorry. 😊
Anita I agree and thought that might be what you meant! Lol
I used Simple Green with great success.
Love love my streamer
Very good information ty
Murphy’s is best😊
Does this work if the cabinets have a urethane finish?
I wonder if I can do it on my gray color cabinets.
This gunk a major no everyday
Pine sol works well
PineSol works wonders on grease and grime on kitchen cabinets and floors.
But the after smell is not worth it. Especially if someone has asthma or allergies
i can't deal with the smell of pinesol
PineSol is nothing but harmful chemicals
I only use yellow Lysol spray smells amazing like lemons my big sister turned me onto it years ago
I once read that PineSol can make your pets very sick.
My dream cabinets are vintage painted wood cabinets that have none of these dirt collecting grooves that are impossible to clean.
Thanks Andrea
Use a hairdryer on stickers, softens the glue and makes them easy to peel off.
I use goop hand cleaner.
What if your cabinets are painted? Recommend?
Warm water and dish soap 👍
I started using those brushes you can attach to a drill to clean around the house. They work well for a job like this.
Do you know the name of these brushes so I can go buy some and borrow my moms drill; since my other half buys tools just for show I guess he will never let me use them. Oh no they are brand new well duh like really when do you plan on using them when you’re gone☺️🤣😂
I use ammonia mixes with water and dawn. Will that be safe
Just DO NOT mix with bleach
Can Murphy Oil Soap be used on our Kraftmaid Hickory (painted with Translucent Limestone coloring? It’s a light coloring paint on top of the hickory wood. Very translucent! You can see the wood grain show through…but a paint, nonetheless.) Would that wood oil soap be okay to use? Love the shine!
Murphy oil
Just use super clean works great
Yeah it''s the BEST and NO SCRUBBING with brushes., but your comment is a fail because you didn't tell everybody the whole name.
Where do you get the murphy oil soap?
Almost anywhere! Home Depot/ Lowe’s/Walmart/ grocery store… it’s amazing! I buy the concentrate and mix it in my own spray bottle, adding more for those really tough jobs😄
Amazon if not available elsewhere
My husband and I moved into our apartment 6 years ago and the outside of the metal hood over the stove feels sticky (like there’s grease on it). I’ve tried cleaning it several times with Clorox wipes and also with pure vinegar but they don’t seem to work. I never thought about using Dawn dish detergent.
Yes, or spray Dawn Powerwash and let sit for 10 minutes, then scrub w/scrubby dude of sponge and wipe clean!
@@ScrubNSqueeze thank you!
409 is a great degreaser too. It’s been a while since I bought some, think ill grab a bottle next time.
Apartment gunk is the worst because people don’t deep clean and it could be years of build up!!!
How would you clean painted kitchen cabinets?
Dawn dish soap and warm water 👍
How to clean a shirt with color from another bleed on the it?
Great info! Murphy’s oil soap Dawn dish soap and microfiber cloth! The top of my microwave is nasty! Thanks!!!
My mother in law got me the large cover thing that prevents splattering. Sorry, don't know the technical name for it!
@@19holly19 splatter screen, I know just what you mean! Thanks
The CC on this is insane 😂
Murphy's took the finish off my cabinets. Do a small test area first.
Very good!! Thank you!
WD40 will work also for sticker removal
ihave painted cabinets in my kitchen and they are off white. how do i clean without removing the paint? ive never had these kind of cabinets before they look terrible above the stove. grease with dust stuck to it. need to sell this place.
I really do appreciate your cleaning tips. Anything that condenses cleaning time is a blessing. I do wish you wouldn't talk quite so fast during your tutorials. I sometimes have to go over and over the same video to confirm what I'm hearing as I write down the steps. And I agree with you: Gunk and grime on your knob is a drag.
Use Pinesol - done.
I just use the green method all purpose spray from target and a sponge
@Alicia and Family: Do you mean ‘Method’ brand? I use some of their products, but what is the ‘green one’? What scent is the green one?
Hi Andrea I live in Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪 could I get another oil soap what do you recommend thanks for all the helpful information
Patricia obrien
What do you recommend to get gunk off wall behind stove
Hi Andrea- please do a video on how to clean a air fryer oven. We have a Breville and it is impossible to keep clean.
We put new aluminium foil on the bottom as it's otherwise impossible, kinda like a tray of foil.
