What do I do for a toilet that is appearing to be clean but has hidden black gunk and it doesn't come out with every flush and rinse...Must I use muriatic acid? HELP please, there must be a better , safer solution
@@stillwaters7730sounds to me like magnesium buildup, not mold. We are getting a new water softener. Hubs disconnected ours years ago but never got a new one. Now we have a rust and magnesium problem, more than hard water!
Love watching all of your videos. Cleaning with scrubbing bubbles works great for all greasy areas. It melts off grease on stoves, the greasy hood & vent racks above stove and walls. I discovered it in the 90's! I'm excited to know about Windex for my stainless appliances! Thank you very much ❤😊
😂 I raised 3 sons, I had a heart-shaped wooden decor sign hanging in their bathroom above the toilet. It read: "My aim is to keep this bathroom clean, and your aim will help! " 😂❤
Andrea...My favorite cleaning product is Windex...I use it on everything. I bake bread and other things for 10 families in my area. so my kitchen takes alot of abuse. When my baking day is done, I GRAB MY WINDEX AND GO TO TOWN. My counters, my white painted cabinets. my new stainless steel stove and refrigerator all get a wipe down. When I leave my kitchen at the end of a very long baking day, it is sparkling. Well, the fact that I am a clutz doesn't help either. I am so glad I found you. I anxiously await your newest video. You know on some days when I am feeling a little down and feeling sorry for myself (my husband was recently diagnosed with cancer) I turn on my computer to your channel and and I get an immediate boost. I actually laugh out loud to some of your antics. Thanks for being there.
I hate the dual mop bucket also. I find the part where the water goes doesn’t keep the water, I constantly have to keep filling the reservoir. So, now I just use a regular mop bucket for the clean mop water and use the spin part of the dual mop bucket for wringing out the water. Works every time
If you get the regular O-Cedar Spin Mop, measure the side for the clean water and then go buy a waste basket or bucket from the dollar store that fits in that space and use that for your clean water/detergent. It works great!
4:01 I have a tall two-compartment bucket with a flat mop, its surface goes inside vertically, not horisontally. it squeezes off all the dirt/hair/dust. it makes mopping so much easy
I have a game changer for you about the toilet cleaning. Lysol lime and rust clinging gel. I think it is a new product. I've never seen it before. It worked on a completely destroyed crusted toilet. A issue where a pumice stone had failed. And the minerals came off in flakes with minimal scrubbing. A total game changer. The bowl went from a brown dried on crusted mess that could not be cleaned no matter how much product dwell time was allowed, to; a sparkling clean, white shinny bowl. With the same amount of effort as a daily swish.
I'm looking for that product now! I'll say that the thumbnail pic on this video is what brought me to watch it, and it turns out you could barely see the ring that she cleaned! (my toilet looks like the thumbnail pic!)
I'm glad that worked for you. That product didn't help our toilets--we have horrible hard water. I've been trying rounds of citric acid and pumice but it's not working. (Our second water softener stopped working) 😢
@@rlynng1999Same here. That thumbnail of that toilet made me click SO fast but was disappointed as my sons bathroom at his dads house looks so brown , a pumice didn't work. I hope what they mentioned works. Worth a try bc even though it's not my toilet , knowing my son has to look at it bothers me to my core lol
Thank you so much for recommending that . I'm willing to try anything for a toilet my son uses at his dads house that looks brown & horrible but a pumice stone apparently didn't work so I'm willing to buy this & hope for the best bc I'm embarrassed for him when he has to use that thing lol. ( I too, thought this thumbnail was going to show a brown toilet )
Wow. I'm so grateful that I have an old school dripolator coffee pot. Only 4 pieces to clean, no cords, no tough to clean areas, never have to descale, no coffee filters. Into the sink it goes, wash, rinse, drip dry and done!
I love putting on your videos and getting a boost of inspiration and energy to begin cleaning myself! You have amazing tips and tricks as well as genuine reviews of products that I find so helpful. Thank you for making cleaning more fun!
Window cleaner is great for spraying on stains on clothing right before washing. I've used it for years, not as expensive as pre treaters that don't always work well. This was one of your best videos, TFS.
I’m going to try the peroxide on my grout. I have a floor scrubber machine and it works pretty good with just regular floor cleaning solution like Fabuloso. I got it when I moved into a house with a lot of tile after finding out the carpet cleaning company charged $1 a square foot to clean tile floors. The machine cost less than it would have cost to have the floor cleaned once. I have a LOT of tile.
Omgggg .. you just made me stop and try cleaning my fridge with window cleaner (been dreading and putting off because the stainless cleaner takes a while!), it looks soooo much better and only took a few minutes!! So then .. I had to hit the double oven and even hung my pretty new Dollar Tree Christmas hand towels 😊Thanks Love❣️
I have that Bissell upholstery cleaner in my wish list on Amazon…I don’t have carpet but I have two old couches that desperately need need to be cleaned …also one very large area rug upstairs . Nice to see it work so well 9n your couch l
Andrea, I love all of your videos. Also glad to know Windex works on stainless steel appliances without leaving streaks! Also for really greasy kitchen messes Scrubbing Bubbles works fast & grease wipes clean immediately! Have a blessed life.
Your technique of lining the bowl with toilet paper really worked well to hold the Lime Away in place. I let it sit overnight 2 of the 3 times. Also, the toilet is cleaned often and isn't dirty in any other way. We are on well water though, so I think the mineral deposits maybe are just too much.
I have the same carpet shampooer! I love it cause it is easy to clean. The dollar tree under rug mats work really good for keeping your rugs in place too. I'm tired just watching you!
Some fab ideas..... Based in the UK and our houses are 3-4 times smaller than many US homes....sadly this doesn't make us 3x more organised, cleaner or tidier 🤦🏻♂️🤣. But video series like these make a massive difference.
SO GLAD I came across you through Cas from Clutterbug. I’m decluttering and organizing but I really need to learn how to clean. Your videos are so easy to follow and very inspiring. I actually got up and started cleaning!
hey AndreaJean...my daughter who is 36 would just love this channel! I didnt have the luxery of helpful and brilliant ideas at my fingertips!!! Shout out my baby girl Jennifer! She also cleans for a personal care home.
I still do all my serious mopping with the old mop hair mops. I just rinse the mop out myself by hand before I dip it in the clean water. In my double sink. Just my fastest way. But I love the dusting/ socks because I myself do not care to mop in my socks or shoes. Always enjoy your how to's.
Have you tried T- Tree oil ? For cleaning , laundry only need a few drops on paper towel or toilet papers around knobs works like paint remover to clean paint brushes !
Windex works so well because it has a lot of alcohol in it. I always make my own. I have an old windex bottle. I fill half with water, half with alcohol and a couple drops of dish soap (I use Ajax dish soap as it cuts grease much better than Dawn). It works great on all surfaces and, of course, windows too. I hope you went over those rugs a few more times or at least until the water was see-through. 😊
@leoniebelcher1680 You can buy it either way. If it has ammonia, it will say it on the front "With Ammonia ". I buy it without ammonia. The ingredients will say alcohol. Ammonia is too harsh for me.
Andrea, Windex also makes a Windex with vinegar that works great on SS. And I absolutely love using HP on my tile grout! I have to say though that I think the best thing I've tried so far on my SS is the Pledge trick. I was so amazed! Thank you!
Yes- i use toilet paper soaked in cleaner on toilets- it is amazing- i use the zep acid cleaner. I had a rental that had a nightmare toilet. I did this every day- 5 days in a row- noone thought i could get it clean- but it really worked. Also, for soap scum, i add dishwashing liquid to any dollar tree basic bathroom cleaner to use after bath and shower- it works amazingly well!!!
Another great video. Ever since we got our new dishwasher that doesn’t have the hot, hot cycle to dry the dishes as well, my stainless steel steak knives, etc. are developing small rust spots. Any ideas for quick and easy removal of that rust without using some poisonous chemical cleaners?
On the OCedar: I bought a separate, small bowl that I fill with hot water& cleaning ingredients and slide into bucket! It keeps clean& dirty water separate.
I use that exact stiff brush and use 409 Works like a charm Grout gets dirty from sweeping and mopping (dragging the dirt over and ovrr the tiles Be sure it is well sealed and use clean water to rinse
This was the best, jam-packed cleaning video I've ever seen and I love cleaning and organizing vids! Windex! Oh my goodness, trying to use it on more IMMEDIATELY...I thought it would wreck the paint for some reason. Also, I have the cement tiles with grey grout in our bathrooms and this is going to change my life - thank you~
I got that mop set for my dads house. What I don’t like about it is that it’s top heavy and I have to hold down the bucket the first few times I spin it. It doesn’t sit right. Once some water is in the bottom it’s fine.
AJ! I'm hoping I can call you AJ because my name is Mary Kay and I go by MK, so yeah... I gotta say, you are the second best part of my Sunday morning, church being the first... not a bad act to follow!! LOL, yeah, removing my toilet seats is an absolute endeavor as well. I feel ya! And the carpet tape... right?!!!? Now... between you and the Adderall I took half an hour ago I gotta go find SOMEthing to clean before I get dressed. Isn't it wild how many spots magically appear on the walls and stainless steel when you put a bottle of Windex and a rag in your hands!! Thanks for all the time you have unwittingly invested in MY home! Hugs from the southern California desert, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Windex is also really amazing at removing blood stains from clothing as a pre wash treatment! Not great if they’re super old stains but will lift it up if it’s newer or semi recent. Windex ftw 🎉
Ok I just found your videos, you inspire me to clean. I much rather be doing other things, but I really need a deep cleaning. My question is, we are renovating a home to sell and it has hard wood oak floors that are googie, caked on dirt, the cracks are disgusting. How would you clean this and with what?
I'm glad you feel inspired. ❤️ I recommend Murphy Oil Soap. I have hard wood floors and this is what I use. Here's a link for you: urlgeni.us/amzn/r_DJF
Yeah, cleaning the carpet cleaner reminded me of the time my daughter found me cleaning my vacuum with a vacuum. She said mom you’re just sick lol it was pretty funny.
Also, i soak sides of toilet in full strength Dawn liquid, let it soak overnight, and it really works great to keep everything going down smoothly- and helps keep toilet clean!!!
I have had 4 back surgeries. Could you do a video on helping people with disabilities clean. I can not bend down and squat the way you do. I need help. Please give me some ideas. My house is a mess because I just can't get to some things.
I tried the toilet hack it worked well...I think you are incredible and believe it or not very good at keeping my attention to your very knowledgeable videos
Hi. How are you? I own both large & personal Keurig. I use vinegar as usual for descaling. However, twice a month, I make coffee without the pods l/ coffee run through keurig until water is clear, maybe about 2x's.
I love my little Shark floor steamer for tile (no rinsing or residue), and even wood if you're careful - the peroxide on the grout seems clever, I'll try it!
You have such great and helpful advice . Thank you . May I ask what is the name of the roll of scrub sheets you used here also where to get them . Thank you
Andrea Jean, where did you get that awesome, curvy toilet brush shown in this video? Look like such a great one! Looks much better than the traditional kind.
Windex in my 'go to' cleaner too, although I prefer the 'yellow Windex' ( the anti- bacterial) for the subtle fragrance. But for sticky fingerprints on kitchen cabinets, I gave found that the foaming Dawn is an excellent degreaser. Just don't inhale it.
Wow wouldn't have thought to use my carpet cleaner on my mud rugs. I uselly take them outside in spring and fall wash them outside and scrub them outside with dawn soap and sun dry.
Does the blue tint of windex stain white flat paint? Also are generic brands of spray window cleaner going to work just as well? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!!
I love the old O cedar. Just change the water out more often! Not that hard! I have no problem making more trips to the sink for a mop that doesn’t get my hands wet. Plus I don’t fill up the bucket super high so it’s not heavy to lug around and it doesn’t take long to get new water. The extra trips to the sink just adds to my step count for the day.
If you put a dirty mop in the clean bucket of water, then ring it out and drains into a different part of the bucket …aren’t both sections of water dirty? I would think you’d need 3 reservoir areas not 2. 😂 overall I do like the mop though.
My Hoover pet wash’s and vacs . And is great on carpets also sucks the dirt off floors recommended the best ! They really clean carpets well see the dirt in the water but I do not know how to clean the vac bristles not on instructions ?
Do you have any links to tell where we can get stiff bristled brush that rotates on long handle so we can clean grout like you do. Also the dusting booties.
I adore Windex. We have open space on top of our kitchen cabinets. I store some "pretty" servingware, antique thermos bottles and coffee pots up there. I do saute quite a bit, so the kitchen gets a bit sticky with aerosolized oil. Windex will take it right off. A good spritz, a little rub with a sponge, and everything is clean with no damage, and, best of all, no soaking.
I know you don’t like bath mats but I have tile in the bathrooms and wood floors everywhere else. I wash them but a pain cause they have rubber on the bottom so I put them in the sun on the grass to dry. In the winter can’t do that obviously lol so want to throw them out. My hubby when going to the bathroom likes something under his feet because of cold tile. If you have recommendation let me know. Thanks
Great ideas Andrea, I will go get me all of these products. I glad I bought several bottles of Peroxide when the Pandemic hit so I have about 25 bottle of this stuff. But I love it and use it on everything including rinsening my mouth out with it. after I brush my teeth. I appreciate you so much.
I don’t like my ocedar mopping system either. Hard to move around, too bulky, pain in the rear to clean it ,and to keep the water level up. I got It to clean up after a new puppy. I didn’t want to put my hands in that water even with gloves, well I don’t have to but it just really is clumbsy to use and doesn’t wring water out of the mop well either . I use it because it cost a bunch and I feel bad letting it gather dust. Wished I would have waited on the reviews. It gets a D- from me.
Hint: White vinegar works as well as the Lime-a-way. Would the carpet tape be too sticky to stick a throw rug to a carpet? I have a new carpet. There's one spot that always used to get dirty before the carpet so I don't want that area of the carpet to get dirty now that I have a new one, so I put a throw rug there.
After cleaning the grout so well, use a group spray sealer!! So you don’t get it stained and dirty again! If you don’t you’ll have to regrout as the grout gets dissolved

Isn't it wild how many spots magically appear on the walls and stainless steel when you put a bottle of Windex and a rag in your hands!!
Thanks for all the time you have unwittingly invested in MY home! Hugs from the southern California desert, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Lol MK!! 😂🙏❤️ your comment made my day!
I recommend Murphy Oil Soap. I have hard wood floors and this is what I use. Here's a link for you: urlgeni.us/amzn/r_DJF
Yes you are motivating so enjoy a Spa day !
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeah, cleaning the carpet cleaner reminded me of the time my daughter found me cleaning my vacuum with a vacuum. She said mom you’re just sick lol it was pretty funny.
lol 😂 love it!
I use one vaccum to clean another slso
For the coffee maker if you use RO water would that help cut down on the scaling? Or a bottled type water?
Also, i soak sides of toilet in full strength Dawn liquid, let it soak overnight, and it really works great to keep everything going down smoothly- and helps keep toilet clean!!!
Love the windex uses❤
❤️❤️❤️
Great tips! I have the grout scrubber! Just got it recently and it’s awesome!
I have had 4 back surgeries. Could you do a video on helping people with disabilities clean. I can not bend down and squat the way you do. I need help. Please give me some ideas. My house is a mess because I just can't get to some things.
Perhaps a small rolling stool/the mechanics use one,,,, or chair 🎉❤
I tried the toilet hack it worked well...I think you are incredible and believe it or not very good at keeping my attention to your very knowledgeable videos
Wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi. How are you? I own both large & personal Keurig. I use vinegar as usual for descaling. However, twice a month, I make coffee without the pods l/ coffee run through keurig until water is clear, maybe about 2x's.
Thank you for mentioning your paint is flat. I love seeing multi use products. Can you recommend a good way to vacuum couch/mattress?
Yes! I love my shark I showed in a recent video. It’s linked in the description box 👍
Happy Sunday beautiful awesome fantastic hacks and tips ❤ have a wonderful week 💜💗🦋🌈
Same to you 💕💕💕💕
I love my little Shark floor steamer for tile (no rinsing or residue), and even wood if you're careful - the peroxide on the grout seems clever, I'll try it!
Where does the dirt go?

Thank you, Andrea Jean!! You are amazing!!
You are! ❤️❤️❤️
You have such great and helpful advice . Thank you . May I ask what is the name of the roll of scrub sheets you used here also where to get them . Thank you
Thank you! Linked in the description box 👍
Skip the rug tape and get the stuff that is used for coach cushions. It works so much better.
omg, you are amazing. i really feel like you gave me some very valuable info.
I'm so glad! ❤️
Andrea Jean, where did you get that awesome, curvy toilet brush shown in this video? Look like such a great one! Looks much better than the traditional kind.
It’s linked in the description box 👍
It's always a pleasure to watch you!! I learn so much from you. I need to get one of those small cleaners...👍👍😁😁
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Lady your brilliant ❤
You are ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@AndreaJean @13:52 steam cleaner is perfect for this as you don't have to dissasemble everything.
I haven’t had any issues 👍
I love "Spray Away" aerosol glass cleaner. I clean everything with it.
I love my O cedar spin mop too.
@@angies5082you rinse out the dirty mop in the dirty side, I think, then put in the clean side.
My Hoover pet wash’s and vacs . And is great on carpets also sucks the dirt off floors recommended the best ! They really clean carpets well see the dirt in the water but I do not know how to clean the vac bristles not on instructions ?
Dual Action O-cedar- HATE IT! LOVE your video!
What product would you suggest to clean wood kitchen cabinets to cut grease and dust?
I like Murphy’s or just warm water and Dawn 👍
Do you have any links to tell where we can get stiff bristled brush that rotates on long handle so we can clean grout like you do. Also the dusting booties.
They are always linked in the description box 👍
Always love your hacks❤🙏🏽
Love this, TY for sharing!
Wonderful video! I am 70 and I learned so much! I also Subscribed. 😁
Awesome! Thank you!
I also do not like the dual bucket. I always go back to the old spin mop!
Sounds great!
My water must be bad. The light is always on. Ty!!❤
Love your videos 😊, where to buy the Dirty /Clean sign on the dishwasher please 😍.

Thanks
I have that SAME AIR FRYER and it makes me so happy!!!!!!
Same lol 😂
I seriously need to hire you! You have way more energy to chase that grime than i do 😂thanks, for the great cleaning hacks!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great ideas Andrea, I will go get me all of these products. I glad I bought several bottles of Peroxide when the Pandemic hit so I have about 25 bottle of this stuff. But I love it and use it on everything including rinsening my mouth out with it.
after I brush my teeth. I appreciate you so much.
I appreciate you Donna ❤️❤️❤️
I have used it carpet on carpet 👍
Thank you! I appreciate you answering my question. Most people don't. @@AndreaJean
Excellent information. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I also buy up filters for my Keurig pot so that I would not need to descale.
I wish I had half your energy!
Coffee lol 😂
Hello! Do you have any links to the products that you used? I love the grout scrubber brush, but where can I get it? Thanks!
I always link them in the description box 👍
After cleaning the grout so well, use a group spray sealer!! So you don’t get it stained and dirty again! If you don’t you’ll have to regrout as the grout gets dissolved
Which grout spray sealer do you recommend & where do you buy it please ? I'm so scared to clean our grout since learning it can get ruined.
What model Bissell Pro carpet cleaner are you using? I'm thinking about replacing my old machine but don't want a huge appliance. Thanks
