Waited, finally, fresh🎉🎉. You are so strong to be with the coldness, mentally and physically, hat off, hat off...have you prepared yourself some heating pads? those would be useful for your knees, also the USB heating jacket, a self-made one would be fine.
Thanks! I've some training in surviving and coldness since before from both army and winter hikes. I don't use heating pads or usb heating because I don't wanna depend on batteries and stuff. Need to be able to keep myself warm if anything unexpected would happen :)

Two questions: 1) What tires & studs have you found to be most effective? 2) Have you used your camp stove as a heater on the under side of the engine? We do this for aircraft in Alaska.
@@andrewpeter6128 I used the motoz adventure together with glued car studs. They last much better even if you drive some asphalt. It’s one of my back up plans when the engine won’t start with only the jump starter. But it handled minus 28 c on a start so far. But one day I will use the stove :)
@@FROZENBIKERIDE this reply is from @themotoroilgeek: Thanks for the email. I’m not sure if I still have a copy of the study on cold start wear, but the warmer the oil is, the better it flows. Using an oil pan heat pad to get any heat in the engine is beneficial.
For long haul touring, get the KTM Duke 390 V2 next time. It's a great and powerful machine. Rock solid, very cheap to maintain and so easy on the fuel. Better than your BMW for sure. I know. I got both.
@@sbsb4995 I believe you. 390 must be so much better. A lot of money tho. I got this BMW very cheap 😅 I have some plans for next season and will go smaller next time 🙂
You will damage your cartilage in your knees, fingers, wrist, etc. with such cold wind on them, whilst riding in such extreme conditions.. It's a long term effect that you won't feel now, but wait until you get 50+, it'll all come back to you and say hello, in the form of arthritis.. Nonetheless it's remarkable that you and the old Beemer, can manage such temperatures..
@@laz1go286 yeah it’s a risk always of course. The fingers are never in contact with wind tho. And knees are hopefully protected from both wind gear and knee protection. I think it’s important to take a lot of breaks and move around. Even in summer time

Even with winter gas it does not work below minus 20 and pretty poor even at minus 15. I had one last year with lantern. It's cozy sometimes but not worth the space and weight I think 🥲
