    Wow! Never would’ve thought to cover kitchen countertops with peel and stick! That might be worth trying!
    When I was in college, people would use contact paper on their countertop, where the sink was in their dorm room to cover up the 1960s countertop!
    Thanks!

    Thank you so much for this great and informative video!! I have peel and stick wall paper in my laundry room and vacuum closet 😁.
    I wanted to ask you about the tile square for the kitchen, do you think it would stick well on our ceramic?? It’s not a fully smooth surface since it has the union in between the tiles. And also, is it ok to put it around the stove? I’m afraid it will melt! Please let me know what are you thoughts on this ☺️
    Thank you!!

    • @thediymommy
      @thediymommy  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching! I wouldn't put the tile around a gas stove, but I think it would be ok by an electric one. The packaging of the tile should give you a heat rating, and you could buy a test pack to see if it sticks to your current wall!

    These all look fantastic Christina, my only question is about sticky residues? I guess these products have come a long way since I last bought any because they always left a bit of a mess if you wanted to remove them later. That's what has deterred me from trying them out, although I have several spots where I'd love to use them. Glue on bottles before recycling is the worst I want to deal with. 😊

    Hi Christina, I really like all these peel &stick ideas. Your tray ceiling is gorgeous. I have tried a few of these peel & sticks. Unfortunately,my wall in kitchen is textured so all the backslash fell out. The countertops, first try was what I call my learning phase. It had so many air bubbles and odd pieces it just looked horrible. I since have redone it and it looks a lot better but, still had issues with sink area. Do you have any suggestions for installing backsplash on textured walls? 💕

    • @robinjones394
      @robinjones394 3 роки тому

      If there’s just a small amount of texture you can sand it smooth… otherwise you can buy a tub of plaster and do a skim coat which is a thin layer with a trowel..it fills in the crevices, creating a flat smooth surface.. it wouldn’t be too hard just on a backsplash area.

    My daughter used the peel and stick tile for her back splash. It looked great for about a week and then started falling off. We followed application direction but don't know what went wrong. It might have been her paint underneath or the dry AZ air but they did not last.
