- Mario and Luigi race their Cosmic rivals across the Honeyhive, Freezeflame, Gold Leaf, and Sea Slide galaxies, beating them by miles.
IL times (timed from pressing A at star select to first frame of Star Get cutscene):
Honeyhive - 36.52s
Freezeflame - 46.23s
Gold Leaf - 36.02s
Sea Slide - 49.50s
Q: Why not do all for Mario or Luigi, or even both?
A: At the time, it was only known that Luigi can do that Honeyhive skip - a few months later, it was proven Mario could but in a slightly different spot: • [TAS] SMG1: Honeyhive ... - so that had to be Luigi. But then I did Freezeflame as Mario to improve on an old TAS by HaloYT.
Since I had already done 1 level each, it made sense for the other levels to be 1 each as well.
And other than Honeyhive, the levels are the same for both so both would have been a bit repetitive.
Q: Why didn't you jump when landing in Sea Slide?
A: Some levels don't let you jump. It might be to do with the angle in which you land (Luigi is almost lying down when he lands), or the curvature of the floor.
Q: What's with the title?
A: A little experiment.

I always liked how Cosmic Mario goes along the path and generally takes it their own pace.
Whereas Cosmic Luigi is doing long jumps every two seconds and taking shortcuts.
Luigi is the superior brother so Cosmic Luigi would be superior as well

That feeling when you took a shortcut getting the star and then realizing that cosmic mario/luigi was right next to it as soon as you got it.

What exactly is the player 2 pointer doing?
When player 2 presses A with the pointer on Mario, it makes him jump or spin.
If you do a spinning ground pound and press A, he'll jump in mid-air.
When on the ground, if player 2 presses A and then player 1 presses A, Mario will do a somersault known as the Co-Star Super Jump.

@@isaacmoore7983 Yes, but not many runners use it because they can't get a second person and holding two controllers is tough.

how do you set up the shake command, what do you do in the TAS Input to make him shake
There are 3 sliders in the TAS input window under Orientation, marked X, Y and Z. You need to move one slider for 1 frame and another the next frame to spin.
But I prefer to bind hotkeys to two of the three axes in the Controller settings, under Shake, and hold them for 2 frames. Unless I really need precise shake inputs (like for quickly jumping out of water without spinning).

How did you go jump so high on the tree in the golden leaf galaxy?
The walls on the tree are a little sloped so going off an upwards slope makes wallkicks go a bit higher. Also I did a 2-player mid-air jump, which is done by spinning, pressing Z within 3 frames of the spin, and then pressing A on the 2nd controller when the cursor is over Mario.
I've always despised these cosmic clones. Their voices have some demonic tone to it.
