I think it should be brought to an almost gentle boil, and then switching it off to steep! The less heat for most plants I believe is the better. Otherwise, steep overnight in warm water. Could add to a smoothie in replace of whatever liquids used...I do that with green tea as i don't really like the taste.

You didn't exactly explain the rinsing process of dried chrysanthemum, so I don't know how to move forward. It's kind of counterintuitive to try to think of washing off something that was dried, it seems like it would have been easier to clean them before drying them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No need to clean them. Everything mass produced is over cleaned these days.

You don't wash chrysanthemum with any vegetable cleansers. Where did you learn that from? Gosh.

Thank you so much for the tips. How about replace rock sugar with the regular sugar. How long should I let the flower sit in the water to keep it clear (not blurry)

I thought steeping the chrysanthemum flowers was basic Asian knowledge. I don't know anyone that boils the flowers.

It's because they are whole flowers. Sometimes even coming fairly compacted out of the bag. After a little experience it becomes clear that steeping in near boiling water for about five minutes is the way to go but out the gate they seem to want to be boiled for as long.
