Im 47 and i hear and agree with a few makeup artists that with our mid mature skin its better to be a bit darker than lighter foundation bc if they sink into the pores and texture itll be seen . Plus having a darker foundation gives us the color we are losing. I find this foundation looking really nice.
It’s makes a huge difference but undertone I think overrides a lil light or lil dark. Too light and even a real great product will look bad. Dark you can tweak if you know how easier

I just saw that my Ulta had this at half price, so I gave it a go. This is THE BEST foundation I have ever used, and I have used a ton! I have extremely dehydrated skin, like dry as the Sahara! I’m also 65. This stuff stays on all darn day, and doesn’t fall into my wrinkles. It is light weight yet buildable, and I can use it as concealer. I have bad pigmentation around my eyes, and concealer looks dreadful after a few hours, gets cakey and makes me look 100 years old. I don’t know what kind of witchcraft, voodoo is in this stuff, but I won’t use anything else. I’m fair, and use F2, and it matches flawlessly.
Yyyyeah I hear you on the "it feels tight, I want to wash it off" thing. That's a deal-breaker for me. The foundation looks great, but if it's not comfortable all day, well, there are loads of options these days (how things have changed since we were 20!)

And the Relove Serum foundation is also really good, especially for being accessible now at Walmart and under $5 Kokie Skin Perfect foundation is great too. I don’t know why the original Kokie foundation doesn’t get way more love. The undertones even are better than drugstore and a lot of high end brands. Appreciate you not reading reviews before doing a review yourself. It without fail alters a review, subconsciously even. I would prefer creators didn’t even look at the star rating.
I think you look stunning today. I love your eyeshadows, it makes your eyes sparkle. I especially love your fringe, you’re making me rethink having a fringe ‘cause you look so pretty

I since then have been using the Haus Labs foundation the past 7 months & love it. Today I tried the Makeup Forever HD Glow foundation & it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. Have u tried the Lancome Teint Idole Foundation stick? Oh my goodness where has this been all my life 🤣🥰 it’s the perfect shade perfect natural matte finish it’s so creamy it’s just melts into my skin it’s seamless u cannot see that I’m wearing g foundation it just looks like my skin but wayyyyy better! @@sfkat it blends like a dream even with just your fingers the coverage is medium and buildable Jen Phelps did a review of it a couple of weeks ago is what convinced me to try it 210 is a perfect light neutral but the have lighter ones it’s just about my favorite foundation ever I love a more matte finish it’s not dewy it just looks like my skin hydrated perfected not flat you gotta try it! Wore all day to the dentist had my teeth cleaned and it was perfect after

Love your eye look! I have desert dry skin so this may be a pass for me as I cannot do “feeling tight.” Have you considered reviewing the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Skin Tint? I use the Face Base as a primer and love it. However, I haven’t seen anyone review it in depth (or at least not the content creators that I trust such as yourself 😀). Thanks for another great video!
Hi Shelly. Thanks for reviewing this foundation. I'm pretty happy with it. For me, it definitely needs a moisturizing primer. I bought both F6 and F7, but 7 was too dark, and I'm a bit darker than you with warm undertones. Interesting how different the same color looks differently on everyone. I've got the same blue blood vessel. Ugh. Wow. It looks great in direct sunlight. Love the highlighter. I definitely agree on your grading. Definitely try a really moisturizing sunscreen and primer. You'll see a difference! Have a great weekend. ❤❤
Hi Shelly I realised today that 3 drugstore foundations that suit my dry and "paler side of fair" skin have been discontinued. Revolution's 'Conceal & Hydrate' Wet n' Wild's 'photofocus dewy' and NYX 'born to glow'. Would you consider doing a video based on comparable replacements for discontinued products you've previously reviewed? I've not used that magic word "dupe" because ingredients change. x
I just ordered the new Wet n Wild so we'll see if that will sufficiently replace the Photofocus Dewy!! I'll see if I can pick out some comparables for the others!
I mix the lightest shade of Maybelline Matte and Poreless (Fair Porcelain) with the lightest shade of Missha Perfect Cover (#13) to get my perfect formula. ☺️
I don't know of any reactive problems between them, but because tretinoin is a pretty heavy-duty active, I don't layer them. I'll use bakuchiol in the morning and tretinoin at night, but not both layered at the same time.

I had to return all of my revolution skin silk foundations because it is a horrible range for olive skin. The tones are either yellow or very pink. x
