Surprised he didn't nip the Badger/Ball push in the bud with the level 3 Scorpion drop. The Sledgehammers felt pretty anemic compared to that. Especially vs Balls with suck. They're just a snack to get munched on.
It's 20 to 7 here in Germany and I haven't slept yet.
BUT I have to watch this video NOW!
I'm curious about the nuke option that was presented. That was the round you said that you really wanted to win and nearly 90% of his army would fall into a nuke. Was it just too expensive to consider? Did you worry about him grabbing it?
I Was thinking the same thing.
Missed opportunity
I would have gone full wasp and overlord to the right side with mobile bacon to the tower and hope. Instead of the overlord a tank is maybe better
17:00 I think farseers with photon maybe here, since the photon was so wildly effective. Maybe callers to clear the enemy ground faster and kill stangs since he already has 2 upgrades?
The farseer photon is for ground-only. Boats also have photon on them and can be applied to all units. It also has slightly better flanking potential here.
Stormcallers would've been decent in killing both hackers and stangs. I was mostly worried about them shooting at my hacked units.
At 6:34 you mention the Gold tag indicates they are number one. But I thought it went Platinum, gold, silver, bronze. I guess I have never paid close enough attention as I pretty much only look after the fight has already ended or quickly in between rounds.
Hmm is there platinum?
@@stoneymechabellum I think so. When you click on the Tarantula at 6:31 there is what I would call a Platinum Total Damage, Silver round damage, and Gold total kill.
I have also seen a bronze mark before, but I don't remember seeing that in this replay, so no time stamp for that.
I have looked at the end of one of my fights. And I was wrong.
In my game, there were only 3 metals. Gold (top) Silver (Middle) and then a Light Silver color, maybe Tin, that was last. I did not see a bronze.
So I have just been wrong this whole time looking at second place, thinking it was in first.
@@zerex8375 to be fair the unit damage breakdowns could be done better and the medals more visual
