My favorite lever gun was an early Marlin 1895 carbine in .45-70. It sure was a shoulder bruiser with full power loads. Many years ago, I traded it for a 1916 DWM Luger. I am still happy with the trade!
When the model 94 was first produced, no one dreamed of putting a scope on it. I don't have scopes on any of my lever actions because it slows down my shot and the whitetail would be gone. I do have scopes on all of my bolt actions and some of my semi automatic rifles though.
In fact, the Winchester 3030 model 94 rifle, the lever-action that uses is based off the model 1873 lever action by Winchester that I believe was using a black powder cartridge, and I don't recall the caliber but that lever action was also used in the model 94 and the reason that's significant is it's essentially a toggle bolt that's upside down and as we know from the German Luger that the toggle bolt is a very accurate very secure lock up with the breach and the 336 to my knowledge does not operate that way so why you think the 336 is more accurate I'm not sure. I just thought I'd point that out. Any slop in the levers action itself, as far as can you wiggle it a tiny bit when the levers completely opened oh, that's not a factor as affecting accuracy. The key to accuracy is how well the barrels made how well the rifling NSAID Barrel is made and how good the lock-up is when the bolt makes up to the chamber. And when the bolt is completely open and the lever is completely open any little slot from a pin or Fastener that lets the lever have a little bit of slop in it is not going to affect anything once the breach is closed and the bolt is sealed up against the breach and the Chamber so that little bit of slop does not factor into the guns accuracy. If there was slop in the bolt lock up in the boat moved around even when it was supposedly ready to fire then that would be a problem, but that's not what's going on.
First long gun I ever bought was the Marlin lever action big loop in 30/30, still got this rugged carbine and IT still shoots gr8 and the iron sights are spot on! Marlin Rules & Reigns!!

I have an old 94 that’s passed from grandfather to me and eventually my son etc etc there’s no rifle I love more and my friends always want me to bring it when we go shooting. There’s just something about a good lever gun
While I haven’t owned a Marlin Lever Action yet, I do love how the M94 carries so absolutely perfectly with your hand on the action. It doesn’t look like the Marlin might balance the same, because of having to keep your hand forward of the Lever hinge.
I've owned and shot several model 94's, all in .30/30 caliber and loved each one of them. I think of them like myself, Old School. I guess it's just the nostalgia that gets me.

Marlin 336 is a wonderful design. One bolt allows you to remove the lever & bolt. It's such a simple & strong design. Makes it easy to clean & bore sight. It's such a solid gun & quite accurate. People can love their Winchester 94, but I wouldn't trade my 1970's Marlin 336 for one. If my house was on fire & I could only save one gun, it would be my Marlin 336 (has the most memories).
I own and love both, a 336 I keep at my moms place in the upper midwest whenever I make it back for deer gun and and a ‘94 I keep here in western Washington for blacktail

I had a 336w (remlin) beautiful gun really good and accurate it was a real good hog gun held pretty well considering the way I treated it I was rough with it and it had not failed on me, I had one issue with it though, the rear barrel band screw broke when I had the gun in a bog death grip and once the screw broke I saw the prices on the screws and said screw it and when I say screw it I mean it literally I put a wood screw where that screw went and that sucker held up in there and after that it was good. I am really after a model 94 there’s just something about the classic straight stock with the top ejection.
I used to sell both rifles years ago when I sold sporting goods. The Marlin just seemed to be put together better with tighter tolerances and better fit/finish. Sold more 94s though, I guess people watched a lot of the Rifleman episodes.
I have a 336 with a pistol style grip instead straight one. It’s my personal favorite rifle I own. Super reliable. It’s also quite accurate at mid range for a 30-30 as well.

man I love your content
Cool guns dude
I have a 1949 336 in 30-30 win. It isn't drilled for scope mount, not micro grooved. But it's still extremely accurate after seven decades.
I also have one in 357 mag. And a Winchester 94 in 357 mag. The win. is a pack rifle.
Great Job with this vidja I was wanting to git one of these!!
I have a Winchester 94 purchased in 1947 by my Grandfather, my Father inherited in 1962 and I inherited in 2000. It is a lazer-beam.
I've had good accuracy with both. Never failed.
That Dang Gun has hit me in the eye so many times!
I have a side-saddle scope on my 94.Open sights or crosshairs. Never lets me down.
A long time ago, i was asked what. I wanted for my first hunting rifle.
I still have that old 30 30 Winchester
That 336 is a beautiful gun. Love that lever actions are still being made.
Good Information Bruh! Damn.. You Got Really2x Nice Piece Over There! Respects From Malaysia.. 👍👍👍😁😁😁💯💪💪
my first deer rifle was the model 94 winchester.wish I had kept it
Paw paw always said the Winchesters got a rattle , put a Marlin on the saddle .
I have a model 94’ manufactured in 1907, it has a 26” Octagon Blue barrel , that Gun is accurate and beautiful, the last thing you wanna do is add Optics to the top of it
I was thinking of getting a Winchester 94 since I saw that the Marlin was I bit more pricy at my local gun store
My model 94 has a side scope mount. No issues and very acurate
Yes the 94AE is the side ejection version 😢 I regret selling just one Rifle. The only one I regret selling was my 94AE. I just couldn’t feed it! Zero 30 30 around my home. I wish I just got the press and made a lifetime amount of ammunition and kept it. God Bless ❤🖖🏼🇺🇸
That model 70 at the end was gorgeous. Smoothest bolt action rifle ever made as far as im concerned
Both are Really Good guns I have owned them both
And that's why I own a Marlin. Great rifle
I have a 336 with a pistol style grip instead straight one. It’s my personal favorite rifle I own. Super reliable. It’s also quite accurate at mid range for a 30-30 as well.
I have a model 94 AE and I can put a scope on it. It does have built-in scope mount because it does have angle eject.
I have both the 94 is my preference, it's slimmer in the hand and feels faster.
I have the 336, but I agree on the 94. The 336 feels heavy (and it is heavier) and clumsy by comparison to the 94.
I have the 336 love it!
I've got a Marlin 336 made in the 1950s. It's a tack driver. I regularly make head shots on deer 🦌.
