You are right that is the original Akri. I own and love that knife.. There is only one drawback with it. They made the pocket clip inset, which made a VERY small space at the top of the clip. The M is for Mini.
Love the Akri, and that M one event more with that smaller size. To make it perfect I'd love a crossbar lock or a top liner lock...

Beez, how do you stay so positive even when you are feeling bad? I try to be it's hard for me.
I am here for you. Not this knife. Front flipping as only deployment is a no no for me.
Front flipping is the absolute bottom tier of folding knife deployment. No other opening option equals an automatic pass from me.

Such a basic little knife. Great for basic EDC, for sure. At this point in my collecting, it's a bit too basic for me, but great as a gift for those who don't own hundreds of knives 🤣.
