I swear, there’s always somebody ready to make a negative comment about any little thing - you weren’t talking too fast at all. Your presentation was just fine….. made me want to get one of these!
Nice review! Much more honest than others I've watched. Theirs started out flying correctly right out of the box. I bought one and was surprised at how crazy it flew. I will get it out and try to trim it out. Thanks for the video!
I recently saw another video that implies the Optical flow sensor may not work properly with the stock radio, but it supposedly works with Radiomaster TX-16S. I was going to pair it to my TX-16S and see if it flies better. If so, I'll post an update. Thanks for watching.
Very good explanation and introduction to this sweet little heli! She looks so sweet when she is standing on your bench! And even much better in flight! Your son Nathan is a great camera man. He has a very promising future in front of him!! It is great that now there are such easy to fly helis on the market! Nice miaden flight! I am a (manual) collective pitch heli pilot and I had to go through a lot of crashes and repairs with sweat anf tears until I was able to control them better and better without selflevel and GPS. Great video and have lots of fun!! Greetings from Poland!
@@RCPhysics I abslolutely agree! I know a couple of plane pilots who lost the interest in "old school" collective pitch helis, because the were crashing more than flying. Easy to fly helis will bring in more people instead of scaring them away.
Here is my referral link so they know I sent you. They are actually having a Black Friday sale right now that gives a 20% discount. Use Discount Code: BF20 rtrhobby.com/?ref=RHOUSE Thanks for watching
Several folks have reached out about that and I have passed that info about the misprint back to the vendor I got it from. We'll see if the manufacturer updates the box... Thanks for watchiing!
Just getting back into 🚁 again, my md 500 c189 will be here this weekend but I want to get this as well as I’ve heard good reviews about it. Great demo and info along w/ great camera work 👍🏼
First of all you’re talking is OK not too fast for me. Love your info on this helicopter, I’ve got one ordered should be here in a few days. Can’t wait to to fly it.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Like I said in the video, it actually flies a lot like a "camera drone", so you should get the hang of it really fast. I've never flown a "conventional" RC Heli, but I have tried a bunch of times on my Realflight RC Sim and they can be pretty challenging. I imagine the purists may not like these types of stabilized helis because they are "too easy" to fly. Fortunately, I'm not a "purist." 😃
Apparently, your battery for the first flight wasn't fully charged. You should get 10-15 minutes on a fully charged battery. Also...Good job, Nathan. Recording something as small and unpredictable as that micro heli is VERY difficult. Focus wasn't as sharp as possible but with practice you'll be able to "follow focus" like a pro. 🙂
Thanks! I noticed much longer battery life on later battery packs. I charged this battery ahead of time and I think it self-discharged a bit. We filmed this on a smartphone and it was TOUGH holding focus on such a small object. I had to use digital zoom in editing, which didn't help either. I'll probably start using our optical-zoom camera to film these little guys in the future. Thanks for watching!
Actually, someone commented that the box is incorrect and that it does use brushed motors. It's still a great deal, but that is a little disappointing.
FYI..........The box says that the motors are brushless, but in fact they are brushed. This heli would cost almost twice as much if the motors were brushless.
I was wondering how they got the price that low with brushless motors.... I'm going to have to take your word for it since I'm not planning on tearing this down anytime soon. The documentation was good otherwise, so I wonder if it was an error on the box?

Thank you! I think little helicopters like these will do a lot to attract new people to the hobby.

Very cool and appreciated the review. I was going to order one but didn’t find the link with the discount code. Is it too late for that? Thanks 🙏🏾

@@RCPhysics No worries . After finding how to trim the heli and save the settings on the supplied transmitter , it's a great little flyer.
@winstonsmith7801 Glad to hear you like it!

You will LOVE the MD500. Very docile and smooth. In mode 3, is a Porsche.
Great flying, good job camera man.
Thanks! I will pass that on. I'm sure that would make Nathan smile. 😊

Don't think 10 to 15min
r u sure this brushless motor

Yeah, if you look at the spare parts list on their website, it’s a brushed main motor also
😟 It's still a great deal, but I am a bit bummed now.
Yep, Im still going to purchase it next week to add to my collection 👍@@RCPhysics
@Swole_Gecko Awesome! Let me know what you think. 😎
Why do i like ur music choice so much lol 😅
Thanks! 🤩😅😂
I'm bad....no way will ever go with the remote ID...I fly on my property mostly...good review.....
Fortunately, this heli is light enough where you don't have to worry about it. 😋
Совершенно отвратительный вертолет не рекомендую 👎 непослушный не подчиняется
That's very surprising! What problems did you see? You may need to recalibrate the gyro.
Can you possibly talk a little slower? No need to go 100 mph.
Sorry. I noticed in editing that I seemed to be going a little fast for some reason. I guess I was just excited about the product!
