I’ve never clicked on a video so quickly, really like the look of this game and I’m always thankful for your tutorial styled play throughs
You're most welcome Michelle! It looks like it will win in the polls for me to play Thursday as well!
Worth mentioning in regards to your hearth; anything that throws sparks can't actually set fire to a roof directly. It can still ignite flammable tiles and objects which then spread to the roof however.
Yup, am aware ( even though the torch there doesn't have a stone roof )
You can move doors and other furniture, so you don´t need to deconstruct and construct again.
Gravel roads are fast to build, and increase movement speed by 25%, so for paths commonly used, it is a time saver.
You cab "bomb" hay, to get straw immediately, but you lose the seeds.
All good tips!
Important to note: after gathering branches from trees, they WILL regenerate slowly. So if you don't cut the tree down, you can harvest branches from it again later. (I think it might take a season to fully regenerate, and it might not regenerate over winter, but I haven't explicitly tested either hypothesis.)
Yup, once a year, right?
@@Rhadamant Ooh, it might be, at that. I'd thought it was more often, but I wasn't really counting. Guess I need to go and play a bit more and pay attention to it. Gee, what a shame... 😉
@@Rhadamant From what I've noticed, yes.
"Nuking the bunny holes so they can't escape me"... that's quite the move, I'm impressed, I hadn't thought about that!
Haha sad little bunnies, they can't hide from you now either!
I recently got this game, and I think its really fun. I'm currently in Winter of Year 3 and have a good relationship with the clan that sells iron. I started out with only a small amount of iron ore in my mountains, so I buy every bit I can.
Smart choice buying iron!
Yay shout out for the Scottish 0:01 😂
Oh indeed!
17:55 ... why am I wanting to play dwarf fortress ?
=P
Thanks for the awesome content and great video!!
My pleasure!
😮

Fantastic work. I loved the episode. Rhadamant. Once you do continue developing the village. Do a three wide road. It will look nice.
Thanks for the idea!
This looks like a very modded game of rimworld, down to the doors and the map layout
It doesn't play like RimWorld however
Yay
Enjoy!
Quick tip:
Don't put a dump stockpile on stone ground, it is a bit wasteful. Make a small number of individual (1 square) ones, as they work as fertilizer. For example make 1 square dump and surround it with trees (3x3 in all). It should make those 8 trees grow slightly faster.
Also you can plant trees (and berry bushes) on tilled soil for a slight grow boost, but then they do "ask for" fertilizer (and watering during the hot summer). Not too big of a deal though, if you have plenty of fertilizer ;)
That's smart, but I haven't really seen that fertilizing is too labor intensive to require min/maxing like that .. leaving poo everywhere and all
50:32. I still don't like to work. But kinda have to...
Either work or starve .. its a simple choice =]
