I believe she needs some sort of recognition for her bravery, stamina, motivation, and kindness. However, don’t be fooled by those who won’t accept her money. I don’t believe that it’s so much the hospitality but more so that they don’t want to accept money from women. Keep in mind that women in many mid-east countries can not go shopping without a man present, can not buy a car without a man present, can not do many things without a man present. Therefore they will not accept your money because you are not with a man. It seems noble until you realize the root. Even the man In the first episode told her that woman in the country can’t go places without a man present.

We became friends and I played over at her house, I remember there always being so much food on the table, also in the middle of the day, and different bowls and plates with all kinds of things. Her mom would always urge us to eat something, especially if we said we wanted to go outside. I don't know what I had, but it was all delicious. (ps. I'm also from the Netherlands).

Sometimes when I go on holiday, I ride my motorcycle. I often get asked why don't I drive my car to get to my vacation spot. My answer is always the journey is the vacation. I get different smells, feel the temperature changes in the valleys and peaks and always the motorcycle sparks conversations with people I meet along the way. I travel and see/feel the roads along the way instead of just getting from point A to B like in a car. It's hard to explain to non-motorcycle people. The bike becomes a trusted travel friend like I suppose a horse did to people in the past.

When I retired several years ago, I needed something to do, so I built from the ground up a hot rod. I is a 1923 Model T Ford. It has a big block Chevy engine. I have a windshield and small doors to get in and out, and a canvas top. I love to drive it around in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Not so much in the winter. It is definitely a conversation starter. Never do I go driving it around that I do not get a thumbs up from people. What is amazing to me, is the number of older ladies that love it. I would expect that a lot of guys would like it, but the number of Ladies that love it really surprised me.
I am 77 years old, and I quit riding motorcycles last year. I normally rode it in the back country, but sadly my balance has went away. I use to have a big road bike, but it got to the point that I did not want to ride it much, so I sold it. When I was on back country trails with my dirt bike, it started to scare me ------a LOT. So I sold it too.
I understand about feeling the temperature changes. I feel the same things on my Hot Rod, and almost like your motorcycle, I can see so much more. I love driving the back roads where I am all by myself. My favorite cruising speed is 45 MPH.

Civilization started in Iraq (mesopotamia) there are also so many caves with paintings and writings from the era of neanderthals. Unfortunately a lot of it has been lost to time or moved to other parts of the world like England.

You have completely flipped my perception of Iraq and it’s people, as many people have commented.
You truly are a world class ambassador - if only there more people in the world like you, it would be a more beautiful place to live.
Please keep doing what you’re doing and spreading the word that the world is beautiful, and the majority of the people in it are too.

    Noraly!
One thing for sure about Kurdistan and Iraq is that you are guaranteed to never go hungry, thirsty, lonely, or stranded. And when you are between stretches of desert or mountains, you are also guaranteed to come across one or another amazing historical site. Keeping in mind that Iraq as a whole is probably the most ethnically diverse region / country in the area, and has been for thousands of years, all the more important to focus on the historical unity of this land. Despite recent sad episodes, your efforts go a great deal to emphasize how loving, kind, generous, friendly and hospitable people are, regardless of race, color, nationality, creed or religion. This is the New Age of the Unity of Mankind. Have been watching so many of your episodes just in the past few days, and have subscribed. Looking forwards to your new content with eagerness. Stay safe, happy trails, and God bless!
