The rivalry is still there but you can tell they have no more bad blood between them

Sub won in the second tournament, but Hanzo won in the prelude comics and at the Lin-Kuei's Temple. That last could be justified because Quai-liang didn't want to kill Hanzo. But the official count is 1-2 for Scorpion.

Sub zero is like the rock scorpion needs when his rage overwhelms him. Sub zero will cool him down, both figuratively and literally. Scorpion is so awesome but i do enjoy how he’s calmed down over the past couple games.

Interesting how the dynamic between sub zero and scorpion differs in personality down to morals and ways they go about doing things. Both are alphas that obtain goals their own way.. sub zero being a disciplined, COLD calm collected, determined, distant/aloof wise. Scorpion is highly aggressive, roughshod, action first questions later, passionate, HOT headed, fearless, angry.... I mean even their voices reflect the words I used to describe them

In the story mode, there is no rivalry between them, even Revenant Hanzo is cool with Sub-Zero and they work well together.

One of my favorite MK rivalries. But 2 of my favorite ninjas. For the Lin Kuei For Shirai Ryu till the death.
I weirdly see Scorpion kind of like an angry younger brother for Sub Zero- which is even more fitting considering what happened to Bi-Han
Both of these guys redemption stories are great. Sub zero admitting that his clan did in fact cause scorpions wife and sons death and with scorpion regretting his killing of Bi Han and his past crimes while under the spell of quan chi.
that is why I love mortal kombat. It will become useless without scorpion, subzero, and raiden

He was the leader of cyber lin kuei and killed hanzo's family under the command of quan chi
@@manicdgr You are right on the first half, but Quan Chi exterminated the Shirai-Ryu due to an agreement with Sektor, an agreement unfulfilled due to Quan Chi keeping Scorpion along.

Sektor is the leader of the cyber lin kuei and he made a deal with quan chi to kill scorpions clan and wife and child
Hanzo hates Sektor for making a deal with Quan Chi to exterminate the Shirai Ryu, including him and his family.
Kuai Liang hates Sektor because of the Cyber Lin Kuei Initiative. Sektor wanted to make every Lin Kuei warrior an obedient yet mindless cyborg, starting with Cyrax, Smoke, and him.

I don't know how scorpion got at all the hype for the last 5 years, he was never the best. Sub Zero was always the best since MK 1 to now. Sub Zero always kills Scorpion. Sub Zero Always wins. No one Beats Sub Zero in a fair fight. Sub Zero is what got me in to Mortal Kombat with his basass ice moves. Scorpion ability was given to him after he made the pact with Quan Chi, Sub Zero earned and gained his ability and the title of Grandmaster. So who is really the best...not Scorpion! Sub Zero always!
