A band I was definitely a fan of from Look What the Cat Dragged In (great title!). I truly loved that record. The videos off of that album were also wicked. Cry Tough, I Won't Forget You (Home Sweet Home part ll), Talk Dirty to Me and my fave, I Want Action. That intro is up there with David Lee Roths vids 👌🤘 And then along comes Open Up and Say Ahh...ruled the school from '88 to '90. Great episode boyz 👍
@@DynamiteFight76 their first 3 albums are all gold for sure. Loved the beginning of the I want action video! Total classic. Thanks for the view and support man! So much appreciated. 🤘
Did you guys actually agree on where every album was ranked, or did you just hammer out the order together before you recorded? Just wondering. Enjoyed the video! And, for the record, "Good Love" sucks balls.
Hey Guru, If Rock & I have the same ranking opinion then this is the type of video we get. If we do not agree, then we post opposing rankings. This time, with Poison, we were both on the same page. I have seen in many of your videos of how much you enjoy 'Good Love'. 😉 Thank for the view and comment man! Love your videos. - Danger
For me Crack A Smile is better than Power To The People. It wasn’t great but it’s good and its Poison getting back to sounding like Poison again. The rest I agree with. Also Open up and Say ahh is easily their highest selling album. It went 5 times platinum. The debut and Flesh and Blood are 3 times platinum.
@@JCStorm76 thanks for the view, comment, and information. Our mistake, stating Flesh & Blood as 7 times platinum when it sold 7.2 million world wide. 🤭
I have been a Poison Fan since 1987. I believe the worst record is Hollyweird. For me it comes down to the overall production of it. I struggle with my most fav. Open Up or Flesh n Blood sits at Number 1 for me.
Can I add, Tearin Down The Walls guitar solo. Obviously double tracked still to this day is my all time favourite rock guitar solo. FYI I’m a professional musician: CHRIS STAFF MUSIC.
I must admit that the production on Hollyweird is hard to ignore. Too bad because there are some really decent tracks on it. Not sure what they were thinking. 🤔 What are your top 3 Poison tracks?
@@RocknDanger on Hollyweird? None sad to say. Over all. Hmmm that’s a hard one. Life Goes On. Livin For The Minute. Hmmmmmm I can’t honestly break it down to 3. Ride The Wind….No. 1 Bad Boy! I think the B Sides are better somewhat than the actual singles to be honest. Sure Nothin But. A Good Time etc but what about Want Some Need Some.
@ I totally dig the deep cuts, especially off the debut. There is a magic on that album that occurs when a band is trying to make it. Similar to the magic on Motley’s debut. 🤘
Poison had a great run, too bad they ended with Hollyweird, it has some great Poison songs but the production/mix was weak! Native Tongue is a great album, flesh and Blood was my favourite for sure
it boggles my mind that crack a smile is always ranked last in everyone's lists, on every show, page, podcast, etc. you have to rank that album as if it came out in 1995, when it was supposed to, instead of in the new millenium when it did. had this record come out in 1995, combined with having capitol records supporting it, i think that songs like cover of a rolling stone, baby gets around a bit, or even tragically unhip, might have made a small mark at radio. by no means would i suggest it would have gone gold or platinum, but i think it could have made radio, or impacted similar to these days from bon jovi.
@@patrickreeves4650 hey man crack a smile did have a shot in 95 but the label opted for a greatest hits. But the production is awesome and I’m a huge Saraceno fan, it prob would have had some radio support . Too bad though I would have loved it to be huge ! - Rock
