i started watching this series last week and it's wild a new one just came out. i'm sure you've heard this, but as a big star wars fan, this actually makes me really appreciate the things that you do like, and now i have a greater appreciattion for the saga overall, not a painful watch at all lol.

Eyezayer you should definitely play the sequels. Alot of Star wars fans are just REALLY salty about the sequels to the point where they don't want ANY association with them. But I think playing the Lego version will still be fun, as it doesn't take itself as seriously. The movies are bad, but not so bad that it's worth not completing this series just out of spite. If nothing else, I think experiencing Star Wars movies that everyone hates in Lego form would definitely be an entertaining experience to witness
I'm going to be the first to defend the sequels by also pointing out that absolutely almost nobody older than 13 likes the prequels when they came out, and the same thing happened with the sequels. I also like the sequels the most speaking as someone who grew up with the prequels.

Finally... the wait is over. It feels like I've turned into an old man waiting for the next video in this series. I was beginning to think you weren't ever going to continue.
I'd say I'd judge him for being introduced to Star Wars by Skywalker Saga, but I played through Complete Saga (in 2011 or so; while the PC version was apparently delayed compared to its identical home console versions, I somehow managed to be even later to the party) before watching all of the movies. Now that I'm more familiar with the movies, I understand Complete Saga a lot better. Hell, the final level of the Revenge of the Sith segment of the game does the duel on Mustafar better than the movie because Obi-Wan and Vader (the latter of whom has fallen to the Dark Side but doesn't yet have his armor) are more focused on surviving the collapsing facility than killing each other and even forcing cooperation to progress (in the movie, their trying to kill each other caused the facility to collapse), only becoming PVP in Co-Op by the final "room".

As someone who wasn’t a fan of the sequels I’d say still play them. Like it or not they were still part of the saga and have PARTS that are enjoyable. Plus there are still many people who liked those stories and even if I didn’t you gotta respect someone’s differences
I do want you to play the sequels because even if the movies aren't the best (I will defend Episode 8 with my life but that's a controversial opinion), the levels still have that classic Lego humour feel and quality level design which make them worth playing in my opinion.
Honestly though, I would absolutely LOVE to see someone learn the story of the sequels in real time through the Lego game... especially because I theorize it would make you more likely to like them.

Honestly though, I would absolutely LOVE to see someone learn the story of the sequels in real time through the Lego game... especially because I theorize it would make you more likely to like them.
I also played Lego Star Wars before watching the movies.
So I relate to this series SO hard.
I only saw the force awakens before I saw the Lego version also. So I’d love if you played the sequel
