Exactly! Because regardless of being an athlete according to statistics the average non athlete barely has $1000 saved. Let’s address how America in general depends on credit and not saving.
M Boyd that was the exact same vibe I instantly felt as well! What professional begins and conducts an interview with their arms crossed 🤔 this displays one being guarded and disconnecting themself. Obnoxious emphasizing on, Chase says their doing “GREAT,” and at the end “Thank you for joining “OUR PLATFORM.” Also the phrasing throughout was very speculative with preconceived ambivalence. Karen knew exactly what she was doing. However he handled himself remarkably by removing emotion 👏🏽
Much respect to you Mr. Kennedy. Financial wisdom and independence is a one of the tools often withheld from athletes to keep them dependent on the organizations they work for.
I know all about discrimination at JP Morgan Chase. I worked for them for over 17 years and was let go, unexpectedly. They adopted a new rating system for our work load and with this new system, they kept saying I was working to slow. My rating always fell slightly below level. So I was fired. It happened just before I turned 50 years old. I expected to retire from there. I was devastated. I immediately closed all my accounts with them.
I know this is very real....my Auntie worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, which later became JPMorgan Chase and she said that the legal department (lawyers) were highly prejudiced and extremely racially charged in a very negative way. They wanted to hire only who they wanted (not Black) to report to them and disrespected her hire by doing really nasty devious things to her. They were of Irish and Jewish descent and the like. They have always been that way. Nothing new...they are well aware of their conduct. Very sneaky with the way they operate. It is true.
I experienced racism at Chase as well. I went to reopen a account in a very racist town that I was living in, and was told that I could only have the liquid account. The previous one was closed because it was hacked twice. My sister and significant other called me in reference to money while in her office. She asked what I did for a living and I told her I owned a business as a small batch manufacturer. She allowed me to only open a liquid account and add funds. After I left the account was flagged. I tried to do a zelle to my sister for a rental car and I was told to go into the nearest branch and bring my proof of ID. That was done immediately. I still did not have access to my funds. I went into a branch in a major city the following day and tried to add more funds again and was denied. I spoke with a representative and they refused to talk to me and had me wait for someone on the phone. The lady informed the representative to refund my money and they did not want to do business with me. I'm not sure what the lady in Hammond, Louisiana put in the system. I asked why and was told "We just don't want to do business with you!" I don't know if they thought it was a drug deal or laundering (which is the vibes I was getting), but she just needed a damn rental car. Mind you I have a shopping cart set up through WePay which is a Chase product for my website. There is plenty proof of my occupation. I will never recommend Chase.

Fifteen white employers from the same company had no problem. The Mayor of Mt. Vernon, NY had the police called on him while trying to deposit a large check. He had to go to court to get the full access to the accounts that he was entitled to as a mayor. I'm Canadian. I've been watching in horror as the protests have gone on over the last few weeks. He has written a very cordial letter to Dimon regarding the incident and for an explanation why he has been denied access to the city's account for 4 years.
Why do certain banks keep showing up in this reports: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, US Bank? One or two might be bad employees, but this goes far beyond that and points to the bank's corporate culture.
True story: Years who, I had a small contract with someone that paid me with a Wells Fargo check. She had a Trust account with them and the check clearly read TRUST OF in the upper left hand corner. The bank manager came over because I didn’t have an with them. She looked at my ID and asked for another piece. I showed her two additional pieces. After displaying three pieces of current identification, she flat out refused to cash my check. She was pissed that I had the nerve to ask her why not? Yes, it was a white woman that wrote me the check. We met the following week and she paid me in cash.
Chilling, but a sad reality. The woman that wrote you the check should have met you at the bank, and demanded that her business transaction be processed. That is what she is paying them ( the Bank) to do right??
voz2voz She and I lived a little distance from each other. We met at a half way point and we did the exchange. I gave her her check back and she gave me the cash. If I was that Brotha, I would have moved my money out of Chase Bank and put in a Black one. Real talk!

This is 100% true.
However he handled himself remarkably by removing emotion 👏🏽
they are scared and asking so now how are you going to do business with them
exactly!
The interviewers were so yank. I was aghast. The telling thing is, they have no idea. That's what a system founded on racism does.

Much respect to you Mr. Kennedy. Financial wisdom and independence is a one of the tools often withheld from athletes to keep them dependent on the organizations they work for.
Although a PhD is not necessary (or even all that helpful) for personal money management or investment.
This is a late reply, but I am sorry that happened to you at JPMC. Are you okay now?
I know this is very real....my Auntie worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, which later became JPMorgan Chase and she said that the legal department (lawyers) were highly prejudiced and extremely racially charged in a very negative way. They wanted to hire only who they wanted (not Black) to report to them and disrespected her hire by doing really nasty devious things to her. They were of Irish and Jewish descent and the like. They have always been that way. Nothing new...they are well aware of their conduct. Very sneaky with the way they operate. It is true.
JPM/Chase's idea of diversity is hiring POCs for the Janitorial, housekeeping, and cafeteria services.
JadaMP That’s most companies in America especially in the South
You might take solace in the fact that a number of those people at JPM are.....shall we say.....intellectually-deficient.
Exactly 💯
You were a fraud by claiming that you were a small business my dear Diva.
@@rc9660 how am I a fraud and I have been in business for five years and report it on my taxes every year. And registered with the federal government as a small batch manufacturer. You sound stupid
Welp...looks like I’m gonna close my chase account.
and that's how you get these idiots attention. People doing the hiring and have dumb asses in place where they say and do racist thing...the institution needs to be held accountable!
I just closed mine 2 days ago.
I'm closing mines too. Sad...
Right. This is some BS I guess I need to research everything moving forward

Videos like this have been popping up on my feed today. I'm glad that they have. Besides this video, I have seen a carpenter who's employers bank refused to cash his check. You guys are lucky that these people haven't burned your entire country down by now with the way that you treat them. I say that those protesters have shown great restraint. . Unbelievable.
Been knowing this since the early 2000,s.
Criminal bank allowed to be in business by criminal government on the take.
If I had money in this bank I would take it out right away!!@@!
Dump the bad banks JP MORGAN, Bof A, Wells Fargo.
Chase thought that they was dealing with someone who wasn't astute in business. Good luck in court and in your future endeavors.
Idk why but I get a weird vibe from the news outlet interviewing him. Like they really don’t give a daym...
He's there as a famous sportsman who jumped out of the "footballer buys new Lamborghini" box.
To quote a contemporary philosopher
"Chase Bank hates old people, their restrooms are closed to the public knowing senior citizens require frequent use of them"...- T.T. Calloway 2009
Is it me or I feel we need our community needs to build our own exclusive resources and re-segregate, because I'm tired of the recurring narrative.
We definitely need to do for ourselves, especially since we have the wherewithal to do so. It honestly doesn’t make sense to expect people who have demonstrated a deep-seated hatred toward you to treat you right. Make it make sense.
Jamie Diamond! Come on man! Grab some of these punks by the collar(metaphor) and fire them if they keep playing games! How would it sound if they said "we brought a Jewish person in to listen to the tapes and it's not anti Semitism" or "we brought a woman in to listen to the tapes and it's not sexism"? We need to quit playing with these sociopaths.

Wow I’ve been banking with chase since high school and have never experienced anything less with their customer service but not all branches have the same type of people/managers and I do believe that racism isn’t only happening at chase but in other banks as well. it’s 2020 and people are still treated unequally just sad and disgusting
You said you never had any problems with them,. The question is do you have a lot of money with them and have you ever tried to get it out?
Every one has to do there home work when it comes to investing ,and be careful

As black business owner in S Florida I have experienced this also at Chase Morgan Bank multiple times!
And I bet you still go there

Look up the history of chase bank owner.
That was an uncomfortable interview for the lady in green.
No way do I ever believe that JP Morgan is disgusted by racism.
This is not the first time with this bank, 😳😩
Ridiculous on the bank's part. That's the kind of client you want, fools.
Racism is not cheap;)
Not if you're a racist. Remember, they don't even think he should have that money that he made.
@Denise Means. Yes, they are and I think that's because they are narrow-minded and/or illiterates. You have only to go to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Virginia, West Virginia, New Mexico.........
The same and worse happened to the Mayor of Mount Vernon New York; in his case, while he was in a conference room at the bank someone called the police on him. He has written a very cordial letter to Dimon regarding the incident and for an explanation why he has been denied access to the city's account for 4 years.
The same one who was charged for corruption lol?
I am a Black Physician and experiencing the worse discrimination in the world! they added an employee email on my account.
Wow,interesting story. Glad you got the problem resolved.
Chilling, but a sad reality. The woman that wrote you the check should have met you at the bank, and demanded that her business transaction be processed. That is what she is paying them ( the Bank) to do right??
@@voz2voz good point.

i had left a job that i was on 20 years and when i left they gave me my retirement in a check so i taken the check to the bank to open a CD to draw interest and save . so when i get to the bank the customer service guy that helped me kept asking me where you get this money. i told him it was my money and i wanted to open a cd so he did and a few months i noticed i had not got any statement about the cd. i could not see it on line . so i went into the bank and asked about the account so the customer service lady looked into it . the guy that opened the cd put on it the owner of the account is dead . he did not put his initials on it and you supposed to. i found out later they had customer service people doing that and going in months later and drawing the money out of the account. i had a hard time getting my money back but i did . and the name of that bank is called Bank Of America. and this guy was not white he was middle eastern the questions he asked me it said to me if your a certain race your supposed to be poor and down and out tho my name was on that check he treated me like i had robbed someone and he was going to rob me.

It doesn't let the outsiders know that people look and dress like Mr. Kenny Kennedy can be a successful educated person.
JP Morgan has no right to talk that way to a customer.
When I saw this on youtube, I closed my checking/savings accounts at Chase and switched to a citi bank. Best decision, ever. chase back has a cult mentality

I feel that if I made as much money as you do and I was treated the way you were at Chase, I'd withdraw every damn dime and go to any where else and SUE if they didn't give me my 💰 ASP!!!
This is 100% true. I was guarding an NBA player and we were in San Antonio Texas, We walked in there and the player gave his credentials and the teller stated that she could not help him and the amount requested was not permitted and that he will need more identification. This really pissed me off and Even the players Coach was called to verify the account and the teller stood ground on no service. The card was a team card NBA . Figure that out .
