Awesome review, guys! Thanks for providing us with rough estimates on how long certain devices would run. So this would not be ideal for someone living in an apartment, wanting to run something on this instead of adding onto their monthly power bill. I mean, I guess it could work, but probably only save like $5/month, lol. Zac, is that a Mastercard shirt you're wearing? 😂Just kidding, lol, but it's the first thing I thought of when I saw it, hahaha. This power station is pretty neat. I guess it wouldn't be too useful for those living in their cars, either. The battery and panels would both have to be 2 to 4 times bigger.
This is nothing new. A similar product (Montek X-1000) was released about 3 years ago on Amazon. This is very slow charging with a 30 watt solar panel 😢. It would take 3 days to charge from 10% to 100% when not in use. It's better to get a reliable and trustworthy power station like Ecoflow and Bluetti with a large 100w or 200w foldable solar panels for fast charging (in a single day). They both come with a 5 year warranty. For 500 to 600 dollar power stations from Ecoflow and Bluetti, some models offer 1800 watt inverters.
Sounds like you have CadTel solar cells [thin film] in that unit! Very durable, low shading issues. First Solar thinks they can get to 24% in 2025, maybe 28% by 2030. That is a big ask given they are at 18.6-19.7% depending on the model now. I have not been following solar much but remembered the look so had to see where they are today. I think the backing is somewhat like Maxion cells; they still work very well even if broken a bit. Also FS panels only degrade to 89% of original over 30 years [0.3% annual loss warrantee].
First, I'm a patreon supporter. Next... Why couldn't I plug this unit into my Tesla "cigarette lighter" plug and essentially use my car battery to run stuff as long as it wasn't using more than 600w? For that matter, if I needed more wattage, why couldn't I do the same thing but with a bigger portable battery?
Recently purchased one and accidentally plugged a wrong charging cord of similar size input watts now it won’t turn on company not responding is there any reset button ?
A 30W solar panel? It's nothing but a gimmick and it's expensive. And 600Wh with a 600W output? I think we'll rename it to a "Solar Not Much Power Station".
Cool idea but utterly useless. A 30 watt solar panel? And a 600 watt hour battery So, 20 hours, or 5 days of sitting in the sun, NOT being used, to recharge? For $600? Don't bother.
4-5 days to charge from it's own solar. 1 USB-C and it's only 60Watts (and only an out - not in/out). Max 100 W in ! - 2018 technology..no thanks. Thanks for video
This is a Chinese product, and it only does 110v AC. USA uses 120v, not 110v. So it's a pass! And Zac, stop asking stupid questions that you already know the answers to. And Jesse, that fake "Do you have a hair dryer" and then Zac just happens to have one, was stupid! You could have instead just said lets plug in a hair dryer.
Wrong choice for testing the fan noise 😂😂😂 Fan not coming on is not a good thing. That means it's relying on the heatsink. The temperature could get very high and not even know it. Ecoflow and Bluetti fans run during high load but are very quiet.
@@GregHassler I watch too many Will Prowes and Hobotech videos. These guys are EV enthusiasts and not solar and power stations. You don't know what you're talking about.
loved the review finally someone provides real life examples to understand the whole thing realistically
The lighting in this episode is great. Not sure if you changed something but keep it like this.
If you walk away and hike while it charges it will grow legs like magic.

Battery and solar panel? I wonder if the heat from sun will effect the life of the whole setup
Good little light duty power station.

I have this and I love it. but can you get the extra solar panel and see how good that is? i want to know before I drop 150 on it.

After owning several batteries I would recommend 1.5kw or more. I found smaller to be kind useless.
I don't think securing it was mentioned from theft. Is the handle a good secure part of it to run a bicycle cable through?
Mine says fully charged and I have a usb mini fan plugged in and it doesn’t work

Will it work with the Canadian and US 120 volt grid?
How long it takes to charge with the panel?
REI used to sell a hand-cranked blender.
Put this product inside model Y and see if it charges through the windows

they could have used magnets for the flaps
Decent idea but it needs at least one more slide out panel or two.
This seems pretty gimmicky especially considering the eco flow delta 2 can be had for $529 right now and that comes with nearly double capacity.
Good review of a junk item one to avoid.
This is basically a collectors item because there's no fast charging or pure sine wave, and 500 dollars for 600wh sucks.

it won't last years😅 battery expose in heat😅
For security instead of chaining it to a tree
It is a pass for me.

It will turn the fans on when necessary, it means the inverter is efficient. Rest assured it knows the temperature of its output transistors.

My wife tells me I'm useless every day... so I must be a Chinese gimmick junk like this crap
