Yello breaking that nether portal was actually genius. Dev would create a new portal when he got to the Nether, immediately revealing his location and allowing Yello to gain the upper hand.
I just love the godly music for no reason
he would know either way since he was gonna get the advacnement and if anything it was a disadvantage cause theirs no way he could have predicted were the new portal would be so he just got really lucky that the portal spawned 5 blocks away from the orginal portal

Go to the options and set your characters dominant hand to the left hand, it'll add another layer of confusion for the runner

I don’t know if this is done yet, but you should have a manhunt where the speedrunner is randomly switched every 5 mins.

Sounds like this is a very intense Manhunt
You could have gotten a splash fire potion from trading and splashed it when he was near so you could see that particles. That way it doesn't have to be an arrow that has to hit him directly.

Here's an idea: Every time someone builds a 1x1 pillar that's at least five blocks high, the pole turns into End Crystals and an angry Enderman spawns on each of the other players.
Dev may have had a sharp 5 diamond sword, but my guy YellowWool found a sharp 5 iron sword, and a mending diamond pick, also damm yellow that soul speed iron boots could have come in handy in that soul sand 😂

They never understood sword is superior against invisible opponents, you can spam with it. And when you're invisible you can attack with less cooldown.
