+Indumati Southern Sorry to burst your bubble but this Dalai Lama eats veal and whatever meat he can hold of... which, as you know, is the tortured flesh of a baby calf stolen from his mother. He has no qualms but plenty of excuses about being a hypocrite. Here is the article with other sources: eriklumberjack.blogspot.com/2010/06/my-question-to-dalai-lama.html He also thinks he's superior as evidenced by his "Dalai Lama protocol, which is: Never turn your back on him. eternalricemuncher I can well believe that the current Dalai Lama is at times quite irascible in private. His levels of testosterone are very high (just listen to the bass tones in his voice), and that can lead to exacerbated, sudden, explosive bits of anger. He refers to his anger often and freely, so that's no news. As for his supposed suppression of freedom of religion (of Shugden worship) you accuse him of: yes, you're right. Now that I've heard this talk and found a little about this Shugden business, I would also ban those particular practices myself. There are things and forces we most definitely shouldn't and mustn't encourage or give a free rein to. The Dalai Lama knows what he's doing in taking the position he has, and I support him in that fully.
I thought I might write down this concluding verse at 1:25. Hope it touches you too: As long as space endures, as long as sentient being remain, until then, may I too remain and dispel the miseries of the world.
“The great master Pabongka was in the first half of the twentieth century the pivotal or key lineage holder of the Oral Geden Tradition. Many other teachers before him mastered certain aspects of the tradition’s teachings, but it was Pabongka Rinpoche’s particular merit to locate and find all these partial transmissions, to learn and realize them, and bring them together once again to pass them on through a single person. In his lifetime there was hardly a significant figure of the Geden tradition who had not been Pabongka Rinpoche’s disciple. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche was the one capable of receiving and passing on the entirety of the Oral Geden Tradition once again. The Dorje Shugden practice is an integral part of that tradition.”
I am sure these people under me who criticise His Holliness are in real life bad people who does bad things in their entire life and i just pity n feel sad for these people who misuse their own life . MAY GOD BLESS THESE TO ATTAIN A SENSIBLE MIND.
good results in oneness, and evil results in a sense of separation. Decisions in one's life could be approached by evaluating which choices promote greater oneness and which promote separation
The Buddha showed the path to liberation and empowered people under gods and priests to the reality that each of us are the master of our own destiny. An inescapable question is why so many Buddhist lands and people fell the invasion and destruction of non-Buddhist emerging powers. I do not know why Buddhism fell in India, Afghanistan or Sumatra. In Tibet there was a great national and individual aspiration to follow the Buddha's path. But there has been an element of stiffling piety of priestly religioustiy by the priestly class: Sangha has been understood to mean Buddhist monks but also the Community of the Presence of Virtue. For many decades the Dalai Lama has tried to revive the notion that the Sangha must be committed to the Presence of Virtue--that while monks deserve all respects they must also serve their community.

***** !?!?! Really? The use of the word PEACE has "outted" me as a non buddhist and a troll? Hmmmm....interesting logic - im thinking perhaps your teacher is the dalai lama?
LOGICAL REASONING SYLLOGISM: Whenever we realize something by means of a conclusive reason we use a special form of logical reasoning known as a syllogism. A syllogism has three parts: subject, predicate and a reason. The combination of the subject and the predicate is called “probandum” in the example below the “probandum” is “The Dalai Lama is not an emanation of Avalokiteshvara” and is this we realize in dependence upon the reason. A conclusive reason is a reason that is able to establish a probandum incontrovertibly. The definition of a conclusive reason is a reason that is qualified by the three modes. The three modes are: the property of the subject, the forward pervasion, and the reverse pervasion; and any conclusive reason will be qualified by all three. We can understand these three modes by considering the syllogism stated below: The Dalai Lama is not an emanation of Avalokiteshvara because all his actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion. The first mode is called the property of the subject because for a reason to be conclusive it must apply to, or be a property of the subject. In this case, the reason is a property of the subject because all his actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion (reason) refers to The Dalai Lama (subject). The second mode is called the “forward pervasion “because for a reason to be a conclusive reason it must be pervaded by the predicate. In this case, the reason is qualified by the second mode because if all his actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion (reason) cannot be an emanation of Avalokiteshvara (predicate). The third mode is called the “reverse pervasion” because if the predicate does not apply the reason must also not apply. In this case, the reason is qualified by the third mode because if he was an emanation of Avalokiteshvara all his actions would correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion. If a reason lacks any of the three modes it is not a conclusive reason. In this case the reason is qualified by the three modes and we can say that it is a syllogism based on a conclusive reason. Maybe sometimes we are not sure about one of the parts of the syllogism, then we have to state another one per example maybe you are not sure about the reason established here ,that is, all his actions does not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion. Then we can establish another syllogism to prove the reason: All Dalai Lama actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion because he did not condemn Iraq war; he has brought enormous suffering to many people by banning Dorje Shugden practice and he does not recognize his Spiritual Guide. Recall that even Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being he has his Spiritual Guide at his crown (Buddha Amithaba) out of respect. For the rest you already know how to check if this is a syllogism based on a valid reason. www.westernshugdensociety.org/video/dalai-lama-expelling-monks/ www.westernshugdensociety.org/video/speeches-enforcing-the-ban/ www.westernshugdensociety.org/video/dalai-lama-iraq-war/
Lesly I have to say I support Kalsang on this matter and I believe you are a little misguided on the Shugden issue. His Holiness and all committed Buddhists welcome freedom of thought speech and in general free will. His Holiness has only highlighted the seperatism that exists in the Dorjee Shugden group of Buddhists. The 4 schools of Buddhists Kagyu Sakya Gelug & Nyingma all embrace each other and although there are subtle differences in the way they practice, there is no worship of one particular deity or God because all are inreconnected. The Dorjee Shugden supporters have moved away from this and so they cannot be accepted in the traditional Tibetan way. His Holiness has made clear that he does not advocate for Shugden practice but the Shugden supporters have murdered people in revenge so we have to look at this on a more balanced perspective.
You are repeating the lies that fuel the hatred. I can tell you actually believe them - but that doesnt make them true. There was an unsolved murder 17 years ago - that is the "proof" they use to say all DSL practitioners are violent murderers. Really??
Mr Wiener " truth is not to follow Shugden " His Holiness didn't ban " he said if you fellows Shugden please not to come to his teaching simple as that ,some people like you start to killing and hurting many Tibetan people still consider you guys as Buddhist. Therefore if you have human intelligence in you ,religion means to helps guid us to the right path not to hurt us and others... Even you are not Buddhist, being as human to human fellow His Holiness you will have peace of mind and you won't regret of your precious life ! I am 30 years old and I was there in India while What Shugden people have done from my own eyes .
This is mind blowing in light of his ban and persecution against another (his own past) Buddhist tradition. Beautiful words. Unfortunately his actions completely contradict them. There is so much evidence of the ban that he says doesn't exist - videos of him enforcing it - scolding those not doing more to enforce it - praising those that do - and encouraging harm to those who to disagree with him. Unbelievable hypocrisy.
He has not banned the practice, simply recommended that others do not practice it, because it is the adoration of a "lesser deity" of tibetan buddhism. The dalai lama has said that anyone is free to practice anything, but if you ask him, he would advise not centering your entire spiritual practice around this one thing. Turns out the people following that one thing have a bone to pick with HH. Nobody is banned from doing anything in his eyes. That is a misrepresentation of his words, beliefs and actions and you would do well upon yourself to further clarify your understanding before spouting off on youtube comment boards about this sort of thing. Actually they " shugden cult" are the one who is seriously attacking religious freedom because if you follow them you cannot follow other schools of tibetan bhuddism.
now he's taken it a step further and issued a proclamation criminalizing the practice. he contradicts himself all the time about the ban. there is irrefutable evidence that he instigated and has strictly enforced the ban. check your facts david
Very good advice but the world is not as perfect as we expect. Greed of certain nations, people for power, money, dominance etc make this world not perfect with all the progress that we have made.
Refuting the believe that the Dalai Lama is a tolerant person using an analogy: THE VOICE OF THE DALAI LAMA If I had to find some fictional character to illustrate what the word tyranny means. I would choose “Saruman the White”. Tolkien describes very precisely what kind of motivation lies behind this word. Saruman is the chief of a saga of wizards in the novel. A priori, he is a positive character. Then later on he is tempted by the lust of power. In the novel we are told that first he studied the arts of the enemy to fight them, but eventually gave in to those same arts. Saruman is tempted by the ring of power, which can subdue the whole “Middle-earth”. Saruman wants all the power for himself and from that very moment begins the corruption of his mind. First, by betraying his own kind, remember when Gandalf visits him Saruman tempts him with the possibility to help him to get the ring of power and dominate in this way “Middle-earth”. Gandalf refuses of course and then Saruman make him his prisoner. After that Saruman mobilizes all his forces to get the ring of power. In order, to achieve this he lies, cheats, and manipulates his own people as a real tyrant. It is important to remember that he is a being with powers and uses them to achieve his own distorted purposes. You only need to read the chapter “The voice of Saruman” to realize how he is able to manipulate and confuse people only with the friendly and seductive tone of his speech. Recall that in this chapter Saruman has already been defeated and cornered in his tower, but still he has the power of his voice that like the song of the sirens may tempt the unwary sailor. Luckily there is Gandalf to dismount all his lies. Tolkien makes an excellent analysis of this character in this chapter. It is so good that one fear that Saruman will convince everyone of his goodness. It requires all the skill and integrity of Gandalf to defeat him. This is a magnificent work to analyse power and its manipulations, how power changes the mind and the dangers of being tempted by power. Unfortunately, it is not very difficult to find in this world examples that fit perfectly with Tolkien’s descriptions of Saruman. I think that the most remarkable is that of the Dalai Lama as a symbol of Buddhism worldwide, Nobel peace prize, supported by Hollywood and the media, as well as being the representative in this world of the words tolerance, compassion and goodness, actually he has deceive the whole world. The Dalai Lama voice resembles that of Saruman. His words in the west are cordial and tolerant but what really lies behind his seductive voice is the word tyranny. Tyranny towards his own people as religious discrimination (chasing mercilessly Dorje Shugden practitioners) Since the Dalai Lama arrived to India his real motivation has been to destroy the four traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, thus creating a new tradition of which he would be the head. Then he would be the absolute leader of his people, political, material and spiritual. Is not this a description of absolutism? Finally, I would only make a recommendation to all those under the influence of the Dalai Lama, check what is behind the voice of "HH" the Dalai Lama because his music although seductive resembles that of its counterpart in fiction.
Don't know what Muslim told his holiness Dalai Lama that " Serious practitioner of Islam create bloodshed is no longer serious Islam practitioner." In that case, Mohammad is not a serious Islam practitioner.

Actually he is called as "Hungry Ghost", there was an old small Skaya monastery in Bhutan where it had the statue of this ghost but there is no history that Bhutanese worshiped this protector. Some times in the past decade HH Je Khenpo of Bhutan directed to the ghost in a compassionate manner to leave the country as it is not the right country for him. Performing rituals his statue was placed on the river, however, it refused to leave. Then HH Je Khenpo commanded in wrathful way and the statue was immediately washed downwards to India as directed. IN addition the protectors and protectress in Bhutan chased this hell out of Bhutan. However, no Bhutanese is aware of this since nobody give shit to it. He was subdued by High Nyingma Lama called Minling Terchen whose line at present is late HH Minling Trichen.
Niznet Baaghi There will be no change in my stand. I will never revoke the ban. You are right. It will be like the Cultural Revolution. If those who do not accept the ban do not listen to my words, the situation will grow worse for them. You sit and watch. It will grow only worse for them. - The 14th Dalai Lama to Gen Chonze of Trijang Labrang (Gaden Shartse Monastery, South India, January 1999) you can see it on video if you need further proof niznet tell me if you need the link and i'll find it for you but this OLD news - he issued a new proclamation last week criminalizing the practice - have you seen it - its a public document. you can't make this shit up.
Thank you! Please see my short documentary under 'marykfilms' on You Tube: "Overcoming Spiritual Hurdles of Orthodox Christianity." It examines some of the unknown history and reason for icons in the church (against the backdrop of O.T. prohibition of images), and it examines the some of the unknown history and prophetic significance of the Virgin Mary to the church and to the world. Thanks, again.
Refuting the believe that the Dalai Lama is a sincere and pure buddhist practitioner and teacher by using his words and comparing it with Buddhas wisdom: ANGER SOLVES NOTHING We must admit that sometimes the Dalai Lama tells the truth. Some days ago a friend of mine showed me a magazine with a Dalai Lama interview, in it the Dalai Lama says the following and I quote: There is no much sense in me speaking about myself. It is better that other people do it. What I know is that when I was a child I was a character, but I have changed. Nowadays, I get angry from time to time, like for example not long ago in Madrid. It was in the hotel waiting for my luggage to arrive to the hotel, and it was not arriving. No one knew anything about it. How silly! It should be somewhere. So I lost my temper. But it was for a good reason: in my luggage there was my Tibetan medicine and I have stomach pain, so I need it. In general I think that emotions and intelligence come together. The emotions are part of our life but intelligence must control them. In my case, when emotions come out my wisdom and experience help me. However sometimes they appear in my dreams. I see myself fighting with people. I hold something in my hand and I try to hit them, but then I remember in my dream that I am a monk and I should not fight. Sometimes I also dream with women. Yes attractive women… The Dalai Lama laughs and speaks in Tibetan that Thetong translates: . The Dalai Lama keeps laughing:
How do you establish human connection with others if not by simple geatures he says he wishes to see crowd faces more clearly and you distrust that as truth. If you were in front of many willing to listen how would you try to establish a genuine connection? An open rather than a judgmental heart would hear much more than platitudes which is your rational judgmental perspective so that limits what you can deeply hear For many of humanity that is not the case May you gain peace clarity and an open heart
Seagull, Negative towards a most peace, kind and thoughtful person means either brainwashed by wrong media, government or negative person. Anyway may you find positive, compassion, peace and love from this World even if you don't have those feelings towards others.
Believe or not His Holiness trying to save people from wrong path or teacher in case of Shugden. However, he has given an option to every individual whether believe him or not and find your own path. Shugden people misinformed outside world accompanying with some Westerners and tried to convinced others. But third person must always search the history of Shugden himself from all the reliable accounts Written by numerous Tibetan scholars from time to time. The fact about Shugden Association in India, how these Shugden monks murders non-shugden Buddhist monks in India, how they abuse non-Shugdhen believers, how these shugden monks came with knives to kill exile representative in South India, how they brutally beaten monks, lay persons and leaders who spoke against Shugden should study by someone to find the fact. Lately, Reuter has disclosed how Shugden groups are manipulated by Communist China to created disharmony in exile Tibetan community and kill His Holiness. They now stopped walking after like a stray dogs to protest against His Holiness for no true reason. World is watching, don't worry, the lair cannot hide.
His recent speech tell that he is not Buddhist because he don't accept as buddism as good religion even he don't know where Buddha was born? He is not spritual he is broker of india vain in appreciation.

@cance7- Just the difference in human perspective,His Holiness has written a millions books, given a Billions of teachings in a gathering all over the world, still does that, maintain a simple and humble in soul and in everything, never ever till date Criticize CCP, in online or personal level. Just look at you,two or three learned knowledge, you are ATTACKING HIs Holiness, thats the difference. Do you really know what Buddhism, its core value and meaning,or have ever heard about His Holiness teachings. His Holiness time and again said,"If you dont agree or think, my teaching doesn't make sense, dont listen or bother, you dont need to" never said, I am the best, My religion is the best and follow my views and opinions" . To understand somebody, you have to put yourself in their shoes, you are all Messed up and Confused, have a distorted mind, either you are CCP SPY or ill spirit followers. I dont really want to say more, your writing shows all, what kind of human you are.

LOGICAL REASONING
SYLLOGISM: Whenever we realize something by means of a conclusive reason we use a special form of logical reasoning known as a syllogism.
We can understand these three modes by considering the syllogism stated below:
The Dalai Lama is not an emanation of Avalokiteshvara because all his actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion.
Then we can establish another syllogism to prove the reason:
All Dalai Lama actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion because he did not condemn Iraq war; he has brought enormous suffering to many people by banning Dorje Shugden practice and he does not recognize his Spiritual Guide.
Recall that even Avalokiteshvara is an enlightened being he has his Spiritual Guide at his crown (Buddha Amithaba) out of respect.
For the rest you already know how to check if this is a syllogism based on a valid reason.

01:08:50 'Mortality' , what is your motivation in life ?
If you ever met him and spoke with him you could never say these things.
tdemchog i have met him
He has not banned the practice, simply recommended that others do not practice it, because it is the adoration of a "lesser deity" of tibetan buddhism.

Greed of certain nations, people for power, money, dominance etc make this world not perfect with all the progress that we have made.

this is a prime example of "no shit sherlock" it doesn't take a dalai lama to know this...

Refuting the believe that the Dalai Lama is a tolerant person using an analogy:
THE VOICE OF THE DALAI LAMA
If I had to find some fictional character to illustrate what the word tyranny means.
Tyranny towards his own people as religious discrimination (chasing mercilessly Dorje Shugden practitioners)
Since the Dalai Lama arrived to India his real motivation has been to destroy the four traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, thus creating a new tradition of which he would be the head.

In this case, the reason is a property of the subject because all his actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion (reason) refers to The Dalai Lama (subject). The second mode is called the “forward pervasion “because for a reason to be a conclusive reason it must be pervaded by the predicate. In this case, the reason is qualified by the second mode because if anyone actions do not correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion (reason) that person cannot be an emanation of Avalokiteshvara (predicate). The third mode is called the “reverse pervasion” because if the predicate does not apply the reason must also not apply. In this case, the reason is qualified by the third mode because if anyone were an emanation of Avalokiteshvara all his actions would correspond with that of the Buddha of compassion. The Dalai Lama has ignored requests for peaceful dialogue from those whose practice he has banned for 18 years!! He won't even talk to them.
01:08:50 'Mortality' , what is your motivation in life ?
It just seems a paradox. Actually they " shugden cult" are the one who is seriously attacking religious freedom because if you follow them you cannot follow other schools of tibetan bhuddism. Under the peaceful "facet" there are many ugly truths. I hope if you really dig out you will know more.
He has not banned the practice, simply recommended that others do not practice it, because it is the adoration of a "lesser deity" of tibetan buddhism.
It will grow only worse for them.

tell me if you need the link and i'll find it for you

Refuting the believe that the Dalai Lama is a sincere and pure buddhist practitioner and teacher by using his words and comparing it with Buddhas wisdom:
ANGER SOLVES NOTHING
We must admit that sometimes the Dalai Lama tells the truth. Some days ago a friend of mine showed me a magazine with a Dalai Lama interview, in it the Dalai Lama says the following and I quote:
There is no much sense in me speaking about myself.
I'm not reading all that. Can you summarize your points?
He's a showman. From the cap trick onwards it's an act. His words don't come from his heart. It's all shallow platitudes.
