    Another good video! I’m a boxing/fitness trainer and everybody always asking me what gloves should they buy and how much money should they spend.I tell them it’s a investment for their hand so get something decent . My thought is if you can buy a pair of shoes for $250 , you can buy a good pair of gloves. Now I’m just directing everybody to your videos to get information about different gloves. I just tell them to remember that just because it’s right for somebody else doesn’t mean that you will be 100% satisfied. Keep up the good work with these videos bro.

      Right on brother! I appreciate your support and you’re right, A good pair of boxing gloves are a good investment for sure. At the end of the day it all depends on the individual and just like anything else in life, you have good variety to choose from.

    IMO, Thailand made gloves are the best option for the perfect balance of value and quality for beginners, or even intermediates. Twins and Fairtex gloves are known to last upwards of 5 years even in grueling MT training, let alone in pure boxing usage. Most "entry level" gloves are cheap pakistan made PU leather with poor wrist and knuckle support for beginners who needs it the most. Their fighting culture shapes the glove construction, quality is valued more as opposed to the west's quantity driven business model.

    Going with the training cleto Reyes hook and loop in mexican colors... Live in Texas as a white boy but they are a Mexican glove and Mexican boxers are incredible. Love your videos man. Also wanted to mention I use the muay thai RDX gloves (obviously not traditional boxing gloves) at $49 and I throw bombs with them and they have held up incredibly well. Honestly, impressive considering the price

    Great video - I'm looking forward to your review of the Fighting Sports Fury Gloves. For overall training gloves how do they compare to the Fighting Sports Tri Tech Tenacious gloves that you reviewed? And do you have a prediction for AJ vs Ruiz?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +1

      Thanks man, appreciate the support, Fury Glove Review coming soon! For overall training theyre a little more compact and better fitting, you can make a better fist with the Fury. Padding wise theyre a little more stiff than the Tri Tech, but have better punch feedback. AJ vs Ruiz is very intriguing as I think Ruiz is a bit underrated, although he has a huge height/ reach disadvantage I think he can make it interesting in the first half of the fight with his power and speed (fast for a big guy). I just think AJ will box him from the outside and has power as well, so he'll just break Ruiz down and maybe even stop him by the 9th-10th round

    • @mtmatt6111

      Thank you for response! I was thinking the same re AJ v Ruiz. AJ is on another level but Ruiz will go out on his sword.

    The most important thing in choosing gloves is the fit and feel, especially around the shape of the thumb
    Everybody's hand shape is different - length of the thumb, position of the thumb in terms of distance from your knuckles, etc
    There is a big difference between companies AND sizes within that brand. For me 18oz Rival fit my hands perfectly, the 16oz the thumb is too close to the front knuckles.
    Everlast tend to have a really short thumb, which jams into the end and requires it to be bent. Reyes pinch my palm too much. Winning puts my thumb at the wrong angle and so fouls on the inner tip and the outer palm.
    So pop into a shop OR ask to try other peoples gloves at the gym.

    I started off using cheap ones and my hands were hurting. Then I switched to higher quality Thai gloves and my knuckles were still hurting so maybe it wasn’t the glove. Maybe my hands just weren’t used to all the hitting. Eventually my hands stopped hurting but I already had more expensive gloves. I would hurt my wrist still here and there when uppercutting which was annoying.

    • @timm285

      Rigo Acosta I was using Velcro gloves and hand wraps. Now I use onx x-factor gloves and no hand wraps. My technique was probably bad before during hooks.

    I have the challenger 3.0 my first pair of gloves and damn they have treated me amazingly they have been my bag pad and sparring glove for 4 years 5x a week and they still look good a little wrinkling and some fraying on the stitching and the padding is still firm I can’t feel my knuckles through them so I highly recommend them for beginner gloves

      @@rigo.acosta comfortable? Mine exceeded my expectations. Coming from someone with a broke wrist, I've found my Reyes comfortable, great quality, build, and accurate when weighed at my gym. Can't afford winning, so these seem to fit the bill. To each is own though right.

    Hello nice video I have a question kinda of topic, I was wondering what’s the best way to increase stamina for boxing how many times should I run etc sprints etc👍

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  5 років тому +3

      Thanks! Appreciate the support! For stamina I would make sure you incorporate road work/ running about 3-4 days a week, 2-3 miles. Do a base time to see how long it takes you to run a mile, most amateur boxers can run a mile in about 6-7 minutes on average, so aim to increase for that. And yes, include sprints, you can do 50 yard sprints, 10 times at max effort, this will get your heart rate up and force your cardiovascular system/ heart/lungs to develop for the increase and you’ll see a difference in performance
