Fun fact: only need to store ship for volatile time-sensitive ore (quantainium). For anything else you could just park on a pad for a quicker run to the refinery 👍
@@RedMonsterSC (Not validated in 3.21.x) A trusted friend can remain behind in your hangar and detach all but one prospector bag while the ship owner can log in to the refinery kiosk. You can submit that job for a fraction of the cost AND time of the four bag load. Exit out of the kiosk and have the friend attach the next bag. When all is said and done, you'll still pay for the refining costs of all the material, but the refinery will complete all four jobs concurrently: Jobs will complete in 1/4 the time of the normal full load. Will also work with the Mole, but steps are needed to prevent the detaching bags from exploding the entire ship. A fully crewed Mole can have one turret operator hover the ship above the pad while another juggles the bags. I've even done this with a Quantanium load (with a keen eye on the timer).
@@optimisto that's a very interesting strategy. If you're really running up against the clock it could save your bacon, but it may be more effort than is practical for the time savings.

However, churning a Mole's entire cargo over on the same day using Dynix or Ferron is appealing if you are needing to build capital but are no longer selling the ore directly. It's a fun loop when running dual prospectors with a mining buddy.

It's been a steady progression over the last two to three years to where I now have a studio setup that I'm pretty proud of, and I'm becoming more efficient at the video production aspect. It's hard to do this as a hobby on top of a full time job and personal life, and I'm glad that the efforts are appreciated.

I’ve played star citizen for years but never done anything significant in terms of making money, really just jump on and go fight some stuff or go do a box mission or two. Tried mining in the past but all my effort would be like 16K and I thought I had known what I was doing. So randomly last night I’m like hey fk it, let’s go learn and go hard into mining. Love the videos! Great knowledge and good detail too
Great question. Cellin has a good combination of low density ores, and specifically ores that widen the optimal window. I've had good success there as a solo prospector compared to other moons. Even though it's not the most likely place to find the other ores, it's all pretty close when you take in the big picture.
Nope. The specific part of the rock you hit doesn't matter, although moving the laser around has been rumored to increase instability and possibly cause the charge level to bump up a bit faster.
I just got this ship and I found those gemstone and found out quick not to use with the normal mining head.. Let me ask so do we use the pryro Multi tool to mine those Gems?🤔 Thanks in advance...😊

Great tips. Can I ask you something? I haven't really gotten into SC yet because of the infamous SERVER WIPES. What happens to all the money and/or ships I acquire during a normal playthrough? If the wipe comes, does the game allow you to keep any of that? Thanks so much!
Whatever you pay for with real money carries over. The in-game wipes depend on what they are wiping, but it's likely that your reputation, credit balance, or in-game purchased items get removed. Sometimes they only choose one or two of those three, like the most recent wipe where they only reset the credits.
@@RedMonsterSC Thank you for replying, RedMonster. So there is a chance that a wipe can take away all your purchased ships, for example. That's bad... considering they cost millions (in-game credits) and so many hours to grind. Last question, if I may: How often do these wipes happen? Several times a year? Once a year? Or is that also random?
@@MauMenzori Only during major patches that happen around once per quarter, and not every patch has a wipe. The last wipe we had was about 1 year ago, and that seems to be the cadence that CIG is aiming for.

I wasyn't 3 minute tutorial - only 2:48 :P But great job! Only I would pick for newbies asteroids around L-point: closer, easier without gravity and quicker ;)
Hey, I've gotta spend some time telling them where to find more details! Asteroids fields would have been a good choice, but I found the material mix on Cellin to be a bit lower density and lots of rock clusters. Plus, it's a lot harder to get turned around in the gravity well.

The only major additions are the new refineries. I have updated charts that include those, but didn't have time to plug them into the website before publishing. I should be able to upload and re-link those over the next few days between Turkey and Cranberry Sauce!
I'd avoid the Klein. It's got really high instability, which will cause you to overshoot charge levels, plus the Helix has two module slots so you can balance out some of its downsides.
Just be aware that any client side crash you experience, will result in total loss of your ship, your cargo, any modifications to it's components, it's entire inventory and you will log back in at wherever you happen to be at the time. Enjoy the game! But dont put too much effort into it as it can be taken from you in an instant.
im playinh this game since 2019 mining works but truing to sell is a problem small amounts is fine but big amounts the game ditects and crash ore bugs out fall thrue floors mining lazer dont work ship blow up with cargo for no reason i still cant buy a ship with ingame cradits the bugs is all constructed for players not to make qwick ingame money so we can buy ships with real money and its called donations so we cant compain about it im still on 400000auec since 2019 winning and loosing😔

Hey, I'm doing good, just not much in the way of mining updates in the last few patches. Still doing the Sunday morning mining live streams and a lot more salvage recently, since that's a more consistent money maker.
I'll be honest with you, I can't choose the rocks that I come across, and there was a limited time window that I had to put this video out. I did run across an 8k mass rock earlier in the video that had 50% resistance or so, which was impossible to mine without gadgets or modules, and since my focus was on a basic loadout I didn't go after that.
Thank you for the guide but it is obvious by far that this is the worst activity in this game. It is boring like no other, it is much worse than elite dangerous laser mining and even worse than EVE's point and click mining (follow my advice and look for something else to do 3 hours in belt 5 and there was not a single stone of quantanium and also 2 more hours in yela + 2 in arial + 3 aberdeen and nothing.) but well thanks a lot for taking the time to make this guides for everybody :)
Found 4 quant deposits on calliope just this morning alone in my prospector. Made a killing at the refinery with that and all the tier ones i found too
When quant only spawned in doubles on yela I usta make a killing if I wasn't finding quant in 5 min I had an unlucky drop .....buuuuttt now it's changed and that's find I still love mining and when we get refining I'll be in heaven

When i was playing, gold was one of the worst to mine. I was mining the most valuable quant, agricium and laranite for the most. Things have changed!!

Why did you choose Cellin? On your Ore percentage by Location chart, Celling isn't green for Bexalite, Gold, or Taranite.

What if the charge level bar doesn't show up?
It could be that the rock is ready for extraction already. Either that or the rock is bugged out.

Every single mining tutorial has ppl cracking only 3k mass rocks. So where is the tutorials of ppl cracking the 10k mass rocks?
