I bought this Vintage Ash Flash Flashlight from Etsy, for almost 30$.She was not in bad condition but I wanted to bring her a glow. Therefore,I disassembled it,I cleaned the pieces very well, then I repainted it. It not was a big deal, but for many of you, this one represent memories and I think you will be happy to see it again. Enjoy how I restore this Vintage Ash Flash Flashlight and don't forget: I am no professional. I work very hard to improve this kind of work and I appreciate it any feedback, advice or suggestions.

Thanks for the memories. My grandmother gave me this flashlight for Christmas when I was 9 years old. Wish I had the flashlight and Grandma back. Thanks for the video.
🤗🤗🤗
Made in USSR
🤗
I got all giddy and excited when I saw that metallic green paint being used! Gorgeous!
Thank you Kevin Hulett!! Glad coz you like it the collor👍🏻
This brings back some memories... my father had this very same light back in the '70s, except with a big rubber suction cup on the bottom. I used to get in trouble for playing with the light and killing the batteries.
😂😂 I knw the feelings with killing batteries
We had them for camping they were awful, massive costly batteries to produce a feeble light, which always went off at the most inconvenient moment.
That 1 hour sanding on the plastic glass/cap worth all the time involved ... well done
Yes,he really worth it, I think is the best part of that video
Sir your videos are the go to for restorations. Keep it up. I'm thoroughly impressed with your true restorations.
I'm from Egypt and I had one of those as a kid. So happy to see it again
Awesome 😎
A little dab of silicone grease on the threaded areas makes it much easier to screw them down. Also a dab of either silicone grease on the switch pivot makes it easier to switch: Old plastic can develop a high friction level and the silicone protects things.
I got sent here by tysy tube restoration...
And I already love it!
Thanks Bradyn
Me too!
Thank you very much 😊
That light flooded soo much nostalgia back to me

Amazing Restoration 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks a lot Raziel 😊
My brother and I each had one of these as kids; I think they were a Christmas gift from Santa. They never actually worked as well as they looked and it was expensive to keep replacing new batteries 😁

Tysy tube mentioned this channel .i needed another channel to subscribe to and here it is
Ok. So I'm watching your videos in the order of release date. And one thing is one my mind. How do you remember where certain parts go where????
😂😂 I don’t know,I think I learn when I disassembly 🤷♂️
Choice of red and green contrast is very successful. Also liked the black paint.
You kept them original but you could try modern led bulbs and show the audience the difference of light strength.
Than again, thank you.
Nice restoration, liked the green for the body of the lamp but would have kept the handle and other shiny bits shiny and not painted them black
got it Glenn ! and thank you very much 👍☘
What's the name of that tool that is Holzer brand and makes those permanent connections? He squeezes it a few times and then it breaks off.
TysyTube sent me and I'm subscribed!
Tkx a lot William! 🙏🏻
I don't know why...but two things in this flashlight seem awfully familiar. First, that red/white lens, i think i've seen it before in an automotive application, and second, the metal rings that serve as thread parts for the lids. Weird.
The color was perfect, metallic green with texture, how about in the next job use metallic blue?
I will think about 😉
Great work as usual! I do like the green paint!
I would have kept more of the shiny metal, though.
Thanks a lot Rolf 👍🏼😎🍻
Thanks. Nice vídeo. Give me one, please.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good work, but I don't like the green case and black handle. It somehow doesn't look like the 70s anymore.
You’re right somehow. I only wanted to put my touch on it🤷🏼♂️ glad you like the work. Check the new videos, are better than that one👍🏻🍀 cheers!
Complete Tools for restoration Iam from indonesia The Tabib ci chanel
On the switch on the front side it was written MADE IN THE USSR. I’m Russian, but I’m watching your videos, they are interesting to me .. I found the USSR a bit and I remember well how these lanterns were sold in sporting goods stores for hunters, fishers and campers. Even my father had such a lantern in the garage .. There are not enough batteries for a long time so I advise you to change the lamps to LED. And so a great job. Successful restorations to you, and interesting videos for us .. If it’s not difficult to include subtitles in the video that you could watch with translations of subtitles, I unfortunately do not know English except the alphabet.))))) Good luck !!
I thought at this and in my next video will be subtitles 🤗🤗 thank you for your feedback ApTeM🍀
Nice worl indeed. Unsure about the green but when reassembled, clearly the right choice. Especially impressed with the polishing of the lens.
Upgrade bulbs to Led?
No upgrade. I only restoring :))
Hey I am from tysy tube and I am Romanian
Multumesc Thomas
Reading the title saying vintage 1970s and being born in 1972 lol. Nice job though!
Thanks Dale 👍🏻👍🏻
If the contacts are corroded little sand paper.
0:19 I feel like this is being restored
D cell, that's a battery!
Yep🤗🍀
Beautiful work, but this is not a restoration, rather it’s a customization. To restore something is to return it to its original state.
True
not many comments in here, so ig it'll be easy to find me
I Have 7 of these, no idea why
