This is one of the few bedstead benches that does not look awkward and uncomfortable. I like that the boards of the seat are nearly the same width as the spindle spacing in the back rest. You have lined up the top of the seat with the "unturned" section of the front legs which is visually appealing. The seat does look too low for comfort, but that is my usual assessment since I am very tall. The skirt in front of the seat looks the same width as the bottom board of the backrest which is also harmonious design. Too many benches made from bed frames look structurally sound but very ungainly in appearance. Your bench succeeds in both structure and beauty.
