It's fun to watch the whole series again, but literally ignore the plot and dialogue...and just watch Orla in the background. Every single scene, she's doing something hilarious! I personally love when she puts a box on her head in the haunted house episode when they all grab weapons to defend themselves from the "ghost." Or in season 1 where the girls are talking about Paris and Orla is busy unsticking her tie from her lollipop.

All you need to know about Michelle's attitude towards James is when he and Erin briefly get together and Michelle says no no youse guys can't be together because youse will eventually break up and Michelle will lose her best friend Erin because Michelle will have to side with James since he's her cousin. For such a massive ride... Michelle is a class act. FURTHER ANALYSIS: That Michelle is mean to James from episode 1 is just funny, it's a funny set up. But the writers 100% justify Michelle's fractious attitude to male family members in the very final episode when we learn about her brother's situation. I wonder when exactly the writers decided to give her a brother? I like to think they were pondering their Good Friday episode and someone said "which one of them could we give a brother who..." and the whole room just went "Michelle, obviously."
It's not that Michelle hates James. She just holds him personally responsible for England's conduct throughout history. 😂
