thank you for mentioning the kit is future proofed in the event Samsung decides to change their camera lense layout. At least for me, it makes purchasing the kit more justifiable
Samsung, and Sony(Xperia) don't listen to the people, so Apple leads the world. s23 or 24 looks physically ugly design, the same Xperia. Chinese companies are smarter and they will beat everybody from the first world. all the accessories are made by Chinese companies. I thought a long time ago about what you said about Lens layout.
This is great, I do have a question..I have the whitedome glass camera lens cover/protector on my S23 ultra which goes over each camera lens. My Mous case cutout fits perfectly over the phone's camera but there's very little room around the cutout. So if I were to get this freewell case would there be enough room to screw on the lense filters while keeping the glass lense protector on the phone? I hope I explained it correctly.

they come in a case if you buy in a bundle. separate filter I think has just a plastic case as all the single filter comes.

This is why the the SD card slot was so important. Phones make perfect always available secondary and tertiary cameras. But no serious photographer or videographer would rely on a device without the redundancy of a backup/removable drive. Too bad Samsung failed to recognized this segment when they deleted the capability for a removable internal storage card.
It was that capability that motivated me to buy a Samsung Galaxy phone over an iPhone. Too bad I won't be containing with the Samsung family when I eventually update from my Note20 Ultra.
If you're listening Samsung, you need to bring back the Note line with the card slot and offer it as a production/business phone. Just like laptop and table manufactures do offer.
You can get small external USB-C microsd card adapters and plug them directly into the phones USB-C port. Yes, not as convenient as having the microsd internally but the adapters are tiny, portable and cheap., so it's not as bad as you're making out imo
as someone else said, just get an adapter, slap a 2TB memory card and start recording.
I use a 1 terabyte flash drive or I transfer my photos and videos to my computer.
My major gripes with the S23U is it being a specialized photography phone aimed at the professional and not having the expansion bay and an audio output.
At work i find myself relying on my phone to make presentations, cut, edit and send files containing photo and videos and the S23U would make alot of sense to me but it not having a dedicated expansion bay and a proper DAC/AMP audio section is such a shame, i would pay Samsung whatever they asked otherwise.
It blows my mind how they are getting rid of "the wheel" because its an old invention, sacrifycing their individuality to try becoming a korean Apple.
If a 'pro' chooses to use a phone, I don't think not having a backup changes much.

Been looking at this stuff. I've just not been able to justify the cost. It's just pricey. I can see why, a lot goes in to design and manufacture but the market is most likely somewhat limited.

What is the point of this? If we're going to start making the already large S23 Ultra even more ungainly, it makes sense to get a proper dedicated camera with a larger sensor. The whole point of a phone is that it's small, portable, and self contained.
At least they're making it possible for people who's interested. Also I feel like if you want to go full pro that would cost more than phone and these lenses combined
@@Big_Chungus935 The great benefit of shooting with a phone -- any phone -- is that it's small, durable, and usually in your pocket. If people are going to start mucking with phone lenses, then they're better off turning to portable cameras like the Canon G7X or Sony RX100 series, which have considerably larger sensors than an S23, come with flexible lenses, and cost the same or less than an S23. Don't get me wrong, the S23 is a fantastic phone and has excellent cameras. But it's a phone... that's what makes it great. If people want to try to turn that phone into an even more powerful camera by bolting on add-ons, they're better off entering the realm of actual cameras. In addition to larger sensors -- and there is no getting around this -- actual cameras allow interchangeable batteries and SD cards. No getting around these, either.
You don't have to leave all that stuff on all the time. I moved to Europe for a job for a year. I've done this before I've also traveled the world taking pics. This time instead of hauling all my camera gear, I decided to just bring my S23U. These add-ons are much less to haul around than a bag with a heavy camera, multiple lenses, filters and remote add-ons. That is the point. I don't regret not bringing all my photo gear. I have on other trips regretting bringing it. I had the phone with me anyway.
@@warrenb9343 ha ha I think I've beaten this topic to death, sorry. All I was getting at is that there are very competent point-and-shoots like the Canon GX7 or Sony RX100 series that are actually smaller in every dimension but thickness than the S23, are more capable than the S23, and are cheaper than the S23 (well, now the S24U). Once someone starts paying for and dragging around add-ons for the S23, the only feature it has over these compact, versatile, competent point-and-shoots is gone.
If you want to "up your camera game", just get a used camera. I mean...
S23 ultra is a trash. Switching back to iPhone 15 Pro Max.
