Thank you for that my brother, your words bring a wealth of beautiful feelings. My name is Tomi Jenkins and myself and Wayne Cooper (RIP) were the vocalists on that song. It's a beautiful song and thank you again for exposing others to creation. Bless you T.
Tomi, thank you for your contribution to the soundtrack of my life. My very first concert was Cameo, Parliament, and the Blackbyrds around ‘77/‘78. I was 10 years old. Cameo remains in heavy rotation in my house, especially early Cameo. Thank you for sharing your precious gift with us. God bless you.
Mr Jenkins-thank U & Cameo for bringing the Funk,Cameosis and Alligator Woman are my fave LPz!i love your voice,Waynes,Anthonys,Pelvis & Larrys!!Two of us is my fave Cameo song!i requested a cupla more Cameo cuts on Just Jammin, check them out and see if U dig hiz reaction??this iz Mother Popcorn!!
This is cool. I randomly heard this song on Insta and really liked it: good music, themes and vibes all around. Love that the vocalists commented. I wasnt sure if this was the same Cameo behind "Word up' which is another song I like. I want to explore their catalogue now 💖
Cameo has been making music since the mid 70's. This joint is from their 3rd studio album by the name of "Ugly Ego" released in 1978. This was also round the time most of the original core members were still in the group. To my knowledge Larry Blackmon and founder of Cameo is one of the few original members left.
The entire Ugly Ego Album was fire. Check Out Friend to Me, Give Love a Chance and Insane. Also check out Hanging Downtown, Sparkle, Feel Me, I Care for You and I Just Wanna Be by Cameo. Almost all of the Ole Skool artists and groups had a message in their music. Remember the imagination was what drove them. There were do few distractions and plenty of time to prefect their gifts, talents and crafts. If you can find a Cameo Anthology listen to it. You'll find they had so many great songs.
Cameo is an awesome, top notch group! They can do smooth ballads and funky upbeat jams. I could list their whole catalog for you to check out, but a few songs are Hanging Downtown, Sparkle, Don't Be Lonely, Attack Me With Your Love and Cameosis.
Their vocals is amazing! Such talent! Love the high pitch tone. You’re so cute loved your reaction. So real & so honest and from the heart. You’re a Extraordinary young man.
I met Tomi Jenkins and Wayne Cooper . I've had a chance to be acquainted with Wayne's sister and and family . Years later.. That album was under appreciated.
You need to do all of their songs from the 80s!! All of them are CLASSICS!! And keep doing what you're doing. You listen and react to real Music and not what everyone else reacts to. Do it for the love and not the views.
What ruined it for me is when I discovered pretty much all of my favorite rap songs were sampled from someone from back in the day. I'm thinking it's original production and it's just recycled from a masterpiece from back in the day with a little more icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong, I still loved the rap songs the samples were in, but it was a different feeling from that point on. As I got older, I could immediately pick out the sample like you do now but I also appreciated the original song that much more and I discovered new music too!
@@JustJammin Big JJ-i just watched your reaction again to Cameo-two of us,and out of all the songz ive requested your reaction to this song iz my fave!!!shout out to Anthony Lockett for that Funky guitar riff, the late Wayne CoOper(the beautifull high notes) and Tomi Jenkins(the other beautiful pipes)!
@@drunk4you1 A lot of the songs that the rappers sample were not the hits. It makes it so interesting when I hear the original because I think "why the hell wasn't the radio playing these songs?"

Your is Right on Time Cameo Was And Is Outstanding And Creative True Funk Soul Brutha's 👏🏾 😎👏🏾😎👏🏾
Cameo and a lot of the funk/R&B bands of the 70's and 80's could also play jazz! Those skills helped make for very interesting and creative music.
Cameo is dope on a rope...and Tupac recognized that certified fact.
The love of music! This is what REAL music sounds like ❤️
so kool that Tomi Jenkins of Cameo said a comment,Cameo always brought the FUNK that will never be duplicated!!!!
Bro, you got that sample immediately. Tupac’s “Wonder if Heaven Got a Ghetto.”

Sound like you wanna testify how God's been good .
Ari Lennox sampled this gem on her song, "whipped cream" as well
Great reactions young brother
"Two Of Us"? No. How about "Candy", "She's Strange", "Word Up", or even "I Just Want To Be".

Hold up. It's not one of their "hits". A great song nonetheless.
