Actually, both the Screaming Tree, and the Screaming Bird were EHX Treble boosters. The original was named the Screaming Tree, it was later renamed the Screaming Bird.
You are right...what I was thinking of was actually called "muff fuzz"...same little box you plug straight into the guitar...like the original LPB boost...should try and find some of these
I used this pedal quite a bit ... on acoustic guitar! ... modest settings for a little grit .. worked really well and didn't have feed back issues ... I'm going to blow the dust off it and experiment with stacking some OD pedals ...Inspiring video .. thx

Hi, are you running yr signal thru a compressor? it´s the only explanation I can give to the pedal being so steady in volume
There is a little bit of parallel compression on the mic channel - as in the mic that's on the speaker cabinet...but nothing in front of the amp...in all our demos we go into a passive Keeley A/B switcher so we can switch between our guitars, a Peterson StrobeStomp HD tuner and then into the pedal and straight into the amp
