- Alkahest is a new first-person fantasy action-adventure RPG from developer Push On that bills itself as a spiritual successor to Dark Messiah of Might & Magic while also citing Dishonored and Kingdom Come: Deliverance as its influences. In it, you'll engage in close-quarters combat, explore realistic medieval locations, learn alchemy, and more.

@@adamwhite7243 this is not actual gameplay. Looked at the way the player is turning their head like a real person would turn their head and not being controlled by an actual controller. Also how the enemies are basically acting out scenes instead of following any type of enemy logic. This is not actual gameplay. This is also not the first game to replicate gameplay for a trailer instead of showing it running in real time.
Agreed this looks like what they did for Anthem. Showed us ""In.... game.... footage" but was actually pre-rendered stuff

Other way around, main weapon; barrels, back up; sword.
Swapping to your barrel is faster than unsheathing

Alkahest is a name in Alchemy. It was a universal solvent theorized by alchemists. Supposedly it could be used to disolve substances without messing with its fundamental components.
Since the pc uses potions on things like Swords and doors, my guess is that he's an alchemist on a quest to create the Alkahest or the Philosopher's Stone.

Mostly seems like a proof of concept so far but I’m liking what I’m seeing!
The actual footage is more likely to have enemies getting stuck in doors and walls.

What we thought Avowed would be
For real. The cinematic trailer had some dope gothic medieval skyrim and dark messiah vibes and ended up being a dorky cartoonish colorful slasher with ok magic.
I'm half expecting Gimli to pop out and be like: LET US GO THROUGH THE MINES OF MORIA.

Uh there's a very large 3rd type here and I'm one of them. The people who aren't interested until we see actual gameplay and not a cinematic trying to mimic gameplay to trick people.
