Elizabeth II and Haakon VII were 1st cousins, twice removed through Christian IX of Denmark. Haakon's wife Maud was also related to Elizabeth II, as Maud was Elizabeth's great-aunt through Edward VII.

Beautiful post! Yes Monarchy is a sacred institution. God Himself says: "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and unto God that which is God's".

Wonderful, especially for the 1500 plus sailors on HMS Glorious whose lives were sacrificed so King Haakon could spend the duration of the war in luxury with his fellow millionaire relations in London’s palaces.
Did he ever think of them being abandoned to die in the freezing North Sea as his ship steamed past?
All on Churchill’s orders of course and covered up.

What?! bad things happening during a world war? Surely you cant be serious!
Also yes, people in important positions, are during a war... important! who would have guessed.
In realistic terms what happend is this:
Nazis invade and try to capture the kingshouse and parliment, why?
As this gives the germans executive control over Norway and can make this a legal occupation, if this happend any resistance in or from Norway would be illegal by the rules of war (which by april 1940 were still somewhat cared about) if they could make allied aid to Norway be counted as a warcrime on the world stage no aid would have been given.
Thus giving the nazis the north, making resistence in the west lesser, making their fight in the east easier, all this = nazis probably win.
So in short, Im pretty sure the best and brightest decision makers of WW2 have thought this one out a bit further than you.
