I didn't know this, I was a Army supply sergeant for years. Although we had the "Y" suspenders . not the "H". I have always loved the way the military stuff enter locked together. I'm more of the M1956 gear. Your vides are great.

Why are you more of a M1956 guy? Are you saying that in your experience it’s better than Alice? That wouldn’t be the first time I heard that.

@@Rokaize I’m just saying after serving for 26 years I preferred the 56 gear over the 67 ALCE because of comfort. Didn’t much care for the Gortex coat either. Many of us in the Army sewed a field jacket liner into wet weather jacket. It was much warmer.

@@MyRanger12 I see. Can’t imagine wearing a gortex coat without a liner. The navy issued one with a removable liner which could be warm alone. Probably one of the best pieces of uniform I know of. Still wear it 10 years later.

@@Rokaize most of the time we just wore the old style field jacket liner under our blouse. Instead of a bulky coat. But I was army. Retired in 2007 E-9.

Rubberized canvas and rubberized nylon was new redesigned equipment for Vietnam. Korea, WW2 was canvas stuff , it's all good for civilian gear camping, hiking etc. The M-56 suspenders are canvas and more comfortable when broken in than the nylon H harness

You can go around the poncho more than once to snug it inside carrier. If you play with it, you can wrap staps across to other side buckle.

I used the M1967 suspenders & salvaged them to make some pads for my M1944 pat. 2 suspenders.. Fully loaded M1945 bag & cargo pack its 40 lbs. (this is using an original tent both halves which is 7lbs alone but I'm going to be using a two person marmot which is closer to 3 lbs)

@@WebGearReview so true, as a kid my favorite places in the world were good surplus stores, now they all have the same “Rothco” Chinese knockoffs.

Ebay is your best bet however, I do know some online surplus stores that have originals here is the list: Omahas surplus, Moore militaria, army navy sales, Baystate militaria, the war front. All those places have/sell 100% original Vietnam surplus stuff.
