So it's a Norwegian snow beagle. I have an Elkhound mix and a beagle (from the US) from a line bred in northern Michigan. That line loves snow and he loves to hunt, roll and play in deep snow.
With very similar coloring to the Berner and the other Sennenhund especially they could be crossed and still look similar, but could the Entlebucher or the Appenzeller, catch hares? I'm not thinking that the Greater Swiss would be able. Even if crossed, and it produced a lighter weight dog, would it be swift enough? I think the Entlebucher is a little too short legged, so perhaps only the Appenzeller has a chance to still be a good Hunter.
