I love how your channel has been steadily getting less about buying things and more about ways to style things you already have. I agree w/ wearing a belt over a blazer, it changes the silhouette so much too so it feels "new".
I absolutely agree. I'm so tired of seeing fashion videos in general that push people to buy new things in order to be in trend and not acknowledging that style is personal and that you have to get inspired by the trend and not have to follow it
love love the approach of just trying new ways of styling just to keep things fresh if you're feeling bored and not like "never wear this again it's out of style-" 👏🏻I wore my white dad sneakers so so much the past few years that I've now naturally gravitated to my "leather sneakers" aka my quad docs and it just gives the outfits I use to wear with my sneakers a little spice or like just a new pop
Hi Alexa! So funny finding you here, you and Laini are my two go to channels at the moment :) Would love to see you guys do a styling video or something together
The tip about changing your hairstyles is SO important!! I usually forget that this is an option for me and I tend to just wear the same style majority of the time. Thank you for the reminder!! 💖
Hi Laini, a lot of weddings have been postponed because of covid and are taking place this spring or summer. I would love to see if you have some wedding guest outfit ideas to give us some inspo :) love you ♡
Not even lying when i say i was staring at my closet, not knowing what to wear today, I open youtube to get some inspo from you and this video shows up 🥰🙏🏻
can you a summer lookbook? like how to look cute when it's really hot cus i always find myself just wearing a dress and sandals and i feel like im just wearing the same thing over and over and over
Love freshening you the wardrobe with pieces you own already ! I find it such a fun challenge to go into my wardrobe and mix-and-match things I’ve had forever. Tip-If you Have fancy gift wrap ribbon made of taffeta organza or tulle you can make the cutest hair bows or belts in 5 seconds! Even a ribbon choker! I also take long chain necklaces and make belts out of them. And to get the ribbon look for a fraction of the cost cut 2 equal lengths of ribbon and tie them onto the straps of a tank top and you have a very affordable chic bow top.
ive also seen someone tie a thicker ribbon around their neck!! it looks really great if you style it right imo and it can really change up your look :)
I have the same Steve Madden black platform sandals, and they are very comfortable. My mom bought them for me for my college prom back in 2019, and I cannot even walk with 2-3 inch heels, but I could run and dance with those heels, despite being 5 inch tall.
I cant wear heels, but platforms changed my life! (Not like the ones she showed, the platform like the converse hike or jadon, that straight platform) also using switching from white to black! It looks awesome, maybe use a bit of a fancier outfit, i like to ass a sheer top or cool lace thights or fishnets one, with the sneakers they look very cute
I recently acquired a camel color solid quilted shacket AND a denim jacket! Both largely inspired by you as well as Hannah Elise here on YT, so thank you!
Hi! first time coming across your videos and I love them!!! great styling tips, no need to buy a million new things, so positive and wholesome! I watched it this morning and it made me so inspired to try a new look so now I'm wearing denim on denim with two ponytails in my hair!
to the first thing you said i have to storngly disagree, a pair of white sneakers with more of a structure such as buffalos or tabis looks always fashionable
you are my absolute favorite laini i find so much comfort in your videos!!! also you are one of the prettiest people i’ve ever seen-such natalie portmanesque face!! 🥰🥰🍒🍒💖💖
These were pretty useful, thank you! I went through my buying phase and am now just trying to find ways to style what I have. Also, finally someone who agrees with me about leggings, I don't see the appeal
Hi Does anyone have an idea for some sneakers that are chic and fashionable but still sporty I got a knees problem so I have to avoid boots and heels 😬 Thanks you for ur response and sorry for my bad English I’m French :)
I really love my copenhagen studios CPH555, they are on the chunky side (but not too much) so super fashionable and trendy atm and they are reeally comfy as I got some problems with my feet You can totally style them either sporty (track pants, hoodie) or like more chic (leather pants/relaxed jeans and a coat). For me they are the perfect mix of both:)
Always love your style, I can't pull most of it off though lol Also looks like you have a side flip out screen, Sony? I'll moved my seat to my left :-P
Heyy I love your style and trust your fashion sense a 100 percent. I presently just own a pair of green nike sneakers and really need new shoes...I was actually super interested in the adidas forum low shoes but now phew thank god I saw this video. Tbh I don't mind spending money on a good shoe but I don't want to buy too many of em. So I have the option of buying either a platform lamoda high ankle boot with a huge heel/ black converse( since they can never really go wrong ig and work with anything)/prada dupe loafers(but they are so overly trendy what if I end up wasting money)/ a good pair of heels with rhinestone starps like the one from zara...please leave your suggestion Update- I bought the prada dupe loafers from zara I REALLY HOPE ITS NOT A MISTAKE😭
I totally understand dressing for your body type, in this case a slim figure, but why do I notice that pretty much none of these trends would look good on a bigger person?? (shoes and accesories are the exception) all the photos are of skinny people! if a big person were to wear certain trends that are extremely popular, they wouldn't feel as good or even be shamed because that trend is only for a specific body type. just me???
you’re absolutely correct in that “casual” fashion is judged by the bodies that wear it, not the outfit itself. however, i think it’s important to do away with this notion of what’s “flattering”- YOU are what flatters the clothes. i don’t think any of the tips are exclusive to smaller bodies (except for maybe the belting a blazer). when people say “dressing for your body type”, more times than not they mean “how to look like an hourglass even if you’re not”..
@@seraph3m all i am saying is that pretty much all of these outfits are only rly meant for one body type. skinny ppl including herself make these videos without keeping in mind that all body types watch her videos and yet none of the outfits she gives would flatter a bigger person.
Just ditch the sneakers and the track pants all together. It'd be cool if you included pictures of plus size ppl and visibly disabled ppl in your examples
everybody is already wearing these girl they are not different i can open pinterest and everything you just mentioned would be there sorry but this was a silly video

I like how your mindset towards fashion has changed along with your style over time.

I can never find Adidas track pants in my size 😭
Shop online

Leggings have always looked so bad in my opinion
Sadly my dr martens jadens vegan leather are falling apart after wearing them 2 years… but oh well the shoe workshop might save them for 15 bucks
