    What a lovely place! The peacefulness of Lillesand and the more bustling and commercial Kristiansand - glad that Zarko got to test the local beer too! Looking forward to the fjiords - thanks again for sharing -

      Zarko couldn’t resist trying the local beer-always part of the adventure! 😊 We’re excited to share the fjords next; they’re truly breathtaking. Thanks for watching and coming along on the journey with us!

    Nice, and relaxed video from my current hometown. Glad you enjoyed the visit. Hailing from the north, above the arctic circle, i came down here by "accident" almost 18 yrs ago, but it's definitely no accident i'm still here. 😊

    My grandfather was the port director in Kristiansand for many years, he created the beautiful port you see today. he made the silo, bridges, fish marked, the stupid tourist moose he bring. it seems to keep up well. The tiles in the fish marked, me and my grandmother painted the blue seagols on them =)

    This was my first ever stop on my first ever cruise. I enjoyed the town but on reflection there was not much there but as the first ever stop, just getting off the ship walking around and then getting back on again felt like an adventure.

      Couldn’t agree more! Towns like Kristiansand are perfect for just wandering and taking in the atmosphere. It’s not always about big attractions but about soaking up the local charm, and for a first-ever cruise stop, it’s such a great intro.

    Should have come in July. Then you would see the harbor full of beautiful boats, flower baskets everywhere, the open market place, and lots of tourists. I would give this film a dice roll 3 for Lillesand. Also is known for its white houses.

    Norway is not part of EU. The houses are white because what we concider «Sørlandsidyll»- the charm of the south of Norway. It was considered a really expencive colour, because it was so hard to mix. Every house painted their facade with white to show they had money for it. Althoug the outside was painted white, the test of the house was red, Yellow or any other cheaper colour. Today it’s of course the same price for the colours, but the tradition of painting it white is still going strong. Er just like it that way. However, the newer buildings are more grey/brown from steining. Best wishes from Kristiansand😊

      came to say this about eu. 😊 We are part of the European economic area, so we have free trade, but as you said, not part of eu. so no euro.

    Hi. Love your video from my hometown Lillesand. Shops and restaurant don’t close down for winter. If you had been here in July the harbour would have been completely full of tourists in their boats. And all the restaurants are full of people. When school starts in mid August the town goes back to normal with only l lokals again. Enjoy the rest of your cruise🤗
    Here are a summer video from Lillesand:

      and no humidity? in the summer it's more humid than a lot of tropical countries, and right now in november it's almost 60% humidity in Kristiansand.

    Of all the places you've visited in northern Europe, which three places are your favourites?

    • @bztravel
      @bztravel  Місяць тому

      Oh, that’s a tough one! We love discovering something unique in every place we visit, and each spot has its own charm. With only a few hours in each port, it’s hard to pick absolute favorites-every destination left an impression in its own way. We’re just happy to keep traveling and exploring, soaking in the variety that each place offers. Thanks for the question, though-it’s got us reminiscing about all those amazing northern Europe stops!

    Beatiful city but I know what you mean by not telling about the cost of the lunch....too expensive....and did you notice that there are two different menus....one for Americans and one for the locals and others,,,,,,,

    • @bztravel
      @bztravel  Місяць тому

      The menu was displayed on the street so we didn't notice a different one for the locals. That said, the fried fish was absolutely worth it-best we’ve ever tasted!

      You mean an English language menu? I'm pretty sure the price are the same for both.
