Lyrics:
They call me Baby Driver
And once upon a pair of wheels
I hit the road and I'm gone
What's my number
I wonder how your engines feel
Ba ba ba ba
Scoot down the road
What's my number
I wonder how your engines feel
Shine a light, ooo ooo oo, ooo ooo oo

A perfect song to end an awesome film
Yes cuz the film wasn't made about the song or anything
@@alexcarroll3738 What does that have to do with anything? Lol
@@alexcarroll3738 he literally just said an amazing film, he didn't say "omg they named this song after the movie!"

Went to see the Baby Driver movie today, highly expecting to hear this song featured.
Safe to say, they movie was great and the ending soundtrack kept me satisfied, SATISFIED.
Same, had to stay thru the whole credits to hear the whole song.
Great Rock movie 🎦 Queen track son Brighton Rock is a magazine

This song and the movie are both fucking masterpieces
Sammeeeeeee I LOVED the movie and this and bellmotoms is my FAV song
The song Baby Driver is the masterpiece. The films the songs lyrics
Almost, but not completely a masterpiece due to several cliches and a bit of a familiar premise we've seen in several movies before.
Can I say fuck on UA-cam? My comment gets deleted for mentioning the issues poc are causing for themselves. Well i just did so UA-cam is screwed.
@@jopoveromo1054 what the hell are you talking about
Paul Simon is perhaps mostly known for mellow, introspective stuff. But the few times he dabbled in rock 'n' roll, he did it so well that it's a bit of a pity he didn't do it more
Love Edgar Wright. SUPER buzzed that a whole new generation of people are into this song!
Frank Lloyd Wright? A fave song :)
Ikr I'm 13 and I love this song and a lot of old songs. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia that I have never felt. A more peaceful one.
Holland Kerr haha I'm only 12 and love it
Holland Kerr can you rank all of his movies?
@@ITH9081 01 Hot Fuzz, 02 Shaun of the Dead, 03 Baby Driver, 04 Scott Pilgrim, 05 The World's End. But they're all good
another underrated song off this album,The only living boy in New York
BOTW was the first album I owned back in 1970 when I was 12. I love every track to this day, but The Only Living Boy in New York will always be my favourite.
Yes.
the "bee-yu-wee" nonsense syllabels. the horns, everything, pure beauty. their harmony. the acoustic guitar, wham-bang! another perfect song. here comes the modulation.

This song always makes me feel so much happier. It was also so great to see this movie shown in Baby Driver
uhh what??
@@alternativeaccount1072 s/he probably meant movie hahaha
shit I mean song
🤣
this is good song
This song proves how musically advanced Simon and Garfunkle (Paul Simon in particular) were. I recommend folks get the whole album, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" which this song is from. It still holds up today.
They were My dear old dad used to be always playing it when I was a kid. It’s an album everyone should have.
What's so musically advanced about this song?
@@aleksandardjuric6550 they time travelled to make it
my granduncle grew up with them in Queens and he said that paul was kinda wierd but really smart
Will definitely give it a listen
"I'm not talking bout your pig tails, I"m talking about your sex appeal" love that line
My parents didn’t like it much when I sang that line as a child! I didn’t even know what it meant. 😊
My mum gave birth to me listening to this song. How cool.
Ironically you were also conceived listening to this song too..
@@currier207 lmao
Were you born one dark grey morn' with this music coming in your ear?
You're mom is even more cooler for sharing this fact with you.
Pulp Fiction was playing while my mother was in labor with me. Needless to say, I think it defined a large part of my character. And of all the movies that could have been on that night, it was that classic.
Lyrics:
My daddy was the family bassman
My mamma was an engineer
And I was born one dark gray morn
With music coming in my ears
In my ears
They call me Baby Driver
And once upon a pair of wheels
I hit the road and I'm gone
What's my number?
I wonder how your engines feel
(Ba ba ba ba)
Scoot down the road
What's my number?
I wonder how your engines feel
Shine the light
My daddy was a prominent frogman
My mama's in the Naval reserve
When I was young I carried a gun
But I never got the chance to serve
I did not serve
They call me Baby Driver
And once upon a pair of wheels
I hit the road and I'm gone
What's my number?
I wonder how your engines feel
(Ba ba ba ba)
Scoot down the road
What's my number?
I wonder how your engines feel
My daddy got a big promotion
My mamma got a raise in pay
There's no-one home, we're all alone
Oh, come into my room and play
Yes, we can play
I'm not talking about your pigtails
But I'm talking 'bout your sex appeal
I hit the road and I'm gone
What's my number?
I wonder how your engines feel
(Ba ba ba ba)
Scoot down the road
What's my number?
I wonder how your engines feel
by the way did anyone ever figure out for sure where that Drag Race at the end was held at. and I'm not sure, but think those extra horns ect, are members of the Wrecking Crew
Thanks for sharing lyrics! So funny this song.
@Gary Jackson It took nearly zero effort
@Gary Jackson what do you mean wow i just copy pasted it. You think somebody would actually type out lyrics?
@Gary Jackson To be honest i have zero memory of posting that comment so theoretically it's possible that i typed it down
I had forgotten this song until I saw the movie. Nice to hear it again. If you haven't seen the movie, it's great!
Deborah Russell ikrr

Simon and Garfunkle at their best!!!!!

My Dear Old Dad used to love this album and used to blast it out on a Sunday mornin when I was a kid and I always loved Baby Driver. Everyone should own this album.
Bought the album in 1975 and wouldn’t part with it for the world. This track makes me smile every time. So much fun.
Remember when this album came out in 1970? HUGE!!!!!! EVERY SONG on the album was MINT!!!
this song makes me feel so happy
The baritone sax makes me laugh. So old school it’s cool.
that is a member of the LA Wrecking Crew. sax maybe Nino Tempo not sure but he played sax on some of their sessions
My dad bought his record when I was eight years old, this was my favorite song on the album, 50 years later it still is
when I was a little girl,my mom had this album.I loved listening to it..brings back alot of good memories!!!
An incredible soundtrack. Everything from Simon and Garfunkel to Boards of Canada...
Baby Driver is a Movie Masterpiece. The fact it’s named after a song which was the entire movie in a nutshell is great! I wish a sequel was actually confirmed cause it’s a movie that deserves one!
I don't think so much, the end of the first movie had everything settled for the good ending, the only thing I can think about that they could do which wouldn't mess anything up or be reasonably bad would be if he entered legal racing using the skills he had when he used to rob, but even then there isn't much people interested in actual car related stuff
Paul Simon is an American treasure and this is a great album. The Only Living Boy in New York probably his best song.
Couldn't agree more.
A jolly good song!
Love the movie baby driver! Always loved Simon and Garfunkle❤
*Garfunkel
How could I have missed this! Instead of buying the Troubled Water album, I bought a bag of weed. Oh well, at the end of the movie, I listened to this tune and thought: "Man, that sounds like Paul Simon; good to hear he's still got it!"
This kick drum is making my brain into apple juice. Love it.
From Italy with love😍
Loved this and still do
finally saw "Baby Driver" on dvd!! This song just completes the movie. I grew up on S & G & haven't heard this song in prolly 40 years. Wow. Great movie! 💟💚💙📀📽🎬💜🚘🚔
I love simon and garfunkel soo much
this song makes me feel so happy
Paul's hair is Garfunkel's handle mustache
The key change at the end, my god. Super cool.
There aren't any drums used in this song, it's just the sound of Paul Simon slapping Garfunkel
That album cover is remarkable. Just saw the movie. Loved It! Now I'm a big fan of this song, too.

I knew about this song before the movie. I’m just glad everyone else is learning about it now.
I have this on the original tape I got in Norfolk in 1986 along with paul simons hearts and bones album , love their music , I actualy met and chatted to Paul simon on Miami beach in 1986 but didn't know it was him until a week later when he appeared on the Parkinson show haha , such a down to earth chap and lovely bloke :)
😮👏👏
You probably had a better conversation not knowing it was him
@@monksoup669 yea i would have panicked if i'd known if i'm honest :)
It's great that a movie could introduce a great song to you, but take it and create your own memories with it.
Watched the film
Loved it
This masterpiece playing at the end sealed it
Thought they couldn’t not play it, then heard that guitar start up and happy days
I love that album cover. Art Garfunkel looking over Paul Simon like the father figure he was.
wow this song is criminally underrated!
That key change at the end sounds like the start of another verse, but hey, what a fantastic combo of acoustic guitar and walking bass line throughout the whole song. So good. :-)
This is a perfect album!
wow he really was the baby driver all along...
Damn, I love this song.
This is such a fun song
thecakeissisley indeed :D

I love this song but in no universe would I have said it like you did :)
I thought this was a Beatles song the first few times I heard it. I was surprised to hear it was from Simon & Garfunkel, and now it's one of my favorites from them.
Reminds me of my mom. I heard these songs so many times in the 70's
Probably their most rocking album and my favorite. Not a bad moment on it. Not a one. Chang a Lang.
i have listened to this song 1739 times today. banger
One of the best albums ever made !!
This reminds me of my early childhood in the early 1970s when my dad would play it to us children in our cabbie.
Loved this song long before the movie
wish you were closer to Dutchess County!
IMHO the best album ever written! It's my absolute favourite.

nice to hear. Had the LP album and knew all the songs and almost all lyrics as well....
So it's part of my young years and thus I need to listen to both these guys either together or performing as artists apart.
Still incredible to this day.

I always loved this Simon and Garfunkel' song! It always put me in a good mood and gave me a positive charge. I hope so much that Edgar Wright used it in his last movie.
In fact He didn't disappointed me......as always.....Great Wright!!!!
god i love these guys
Great song. Great group.👏🍀
What a movie this was
omfg this song... and every other one in that movie!!!
What a great tune!
For my dads birthday one year. My family got him tickets to a Paul Simon concert. He said after it was the most fun he has ever had at a concert. So the next year we got him tickets to Art Garfunkel. Unfortunately the concert was mostly upper class people who sat in their seats and barely clapped at the end. When leaving the concert my Dad saw Art and went to thank him for the concert, but Garfunkel told him to get out of his way. My dad didn’t tell us for months because he wanted us to think he loved it. It’s a shame that when a fan that really appreciates an artist but they get blown off. I don’t think Paul Simon would even consider doing that to a fan
Love this song
Great song, and great film!
💓 Always a pleasure watching Baby driver
RIP doc... He's the reason they got away

dont forget that him coercing baby is also the reason it reached that point in the first place
