Loved this! This has been my same routine for a long time now also. I’m 34 and haven’t had acrylic fake nails since probably high school! It’s such a waste of time and money! Not to mention ruins your real nails! I used gel polish a few times on mine and even taking that off made my real nail come off in hunks or layers. So frustrating. So for a while now I’ve just been clipping mine and trimming my cuticles and using oil also! Love this video! So relaxing. Love you Kyra!
Oh man, the pressure I feel to keep up with the Instagram girlies and their acrylic nails, but it's always seemed like such a waste of money, plus my nails are easily damaged. It feels great to find this community.
I'm really impressed by that nail file! In my country Bulgaria I have seen professionals in nail salons use Cuccio so I think it's quite a good brand. Loved this routine!
I'm so happy to find this is Super Shorty Nail Club. I thought I was the only one who liked really short nails. I love the feeling of that tactile awareness when I've just cut my nails and filed them very smooth. Short nails are great for people who wear contacts or for applying cream close to your eyes. In my humble opinion, nothing beats the glossy look of super short nails in a bright red nail lacquer.
I do the exact same things. I sometimes miss gel nails or acrylic, but then i need to maintain them and go for appointments and all that jazz. Too much for me. Thank you for the video! 🌼
Love the natural nail look… it looks very elegant I only paint my toe nails now on the summer time …and I do it my self the pedicure…. Only owe 2 nail polishes one is a darker color for the winter time and the other one is more of a bright red for the summer and that’s it ….Nothing against nail salon but to me it’s a time and money sometimes I used to come not liking how it came out … btw just ordered the cuticle oil 😁
I have a similar nail care routine. Keeping it simple. 😊 I have only ever had my nails done with those gel types like maybe 2-3 times. Once was for my wedding but that's it and I'm 35yrs old.
Simple, minimalistic, I love it. I used to apply gel polish, but it's so bad for nails, also an unnecessary thing to spend money on (for me personally).
You can totally get that gel manicure look with regular nail polish. All you have to do is put on a base coat, two (or three if they're thin) coats of whatever color you're using, and a really good gloss top coat. I love Seché Vite. It dries very quickly, but it has that thick glossy look that you really want.
Ah loving this so much. This is how I do with my nails all the time and it's also because of my course that's why, but yeah I love this so much. Loving your content as always. ❤
I have a bad looking fingernails. I used to bite it all the time since I was a kid especially when I feel anxious and stressed. But I trying to avoid it now. ☺️
Thanks for sharing this Kyra! I got inspired by such minimalist manicure and have just ordered a new nail file with a buffer - that shine is insane! 👏 🤩 Do you do the same for pedicure? ❤
I was LITERALLY just thinking about how cool it would be if they had a nail shiner that was reusable (currently I have to spend $3 on one that's only good for 1-2 uses). I'm so excited to see that there is one in existence lol!! Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it :)
I can’t stand having my finger nails long especially working in a warehouse 🤣 but I do love a good painted toenail especially in the summer with my sandals 🩴
Hey Katherine, even if you just put on a clear coat over your nails, the nail polish will actually protect your nails from cracking or peeling if you're opening boxes or using the tape gun, or whatever. And lots of oil, any kind of oil, even cooking oil will help with dryness and cracking. My husband used to have to pack boxes and his nails and cuticles took a beating.
Wow Kyra. I thought I was the only one that only likes short nails. I hate when they grow. Im constantly clipping them down to an active length. Also. I have never ever had a manicure or a pedicure. Grosses me out to have someone , as in a stranger playing around with my feet, lol. But I guess I've saved a ton of money not doing those things
I was getting my nails done at the nail salon and different women would once in a while nick me with the cutters. I would be so mad because I'm putting out all this money and she just made a cut on my finger that's going to take probably a week to go away and totally messed up my manicure. I decided to just stop wasting the money and do it myself. Now, I enjoy the pampering in my own home and no cuts :)
Loved this video Kyra, will definitely get the cuticle oil. Wanted to ask you, I know you don’t carry a purse. Do you own a backpack for when needed? Tfs🤍
TRULY minimalistic. 🤩 You are my go-to inspo for a simple clean life.
I love how your videos are straight to the point.

It's so expensive! The "cheapest" nail sets in my area start at $45!
@@alydarling exactly same here. And who wants to spend so much money on nails every 2 weeks!

Was just looking into nail care! It's like you read my mind!

Yay!! I hope you enjoy Toni :)
Going to buy the oil and file!
I feel so spoiled with all these videos you’re coming out with ! Thank you!
With the glass nail file it’s best to stay in one direction or it will cause more breakage
I love it! I wear press ons. I’m giving myself a week break so this is wonderful!

Thank you! You too!
Ah, finally natural short nails routine that is Muslim-friendly, thank you 💕
i love this video
Beautiful nails! I always see ridiculously long acrylic nails on instagram and all I can think of is the amount of bacteria in them, yuck!
Love this video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you

Thank you ☺️ and yes I own a backpack just in case we live the house for a very long time. Other than that I only carry my wallet, car keys and phone.
@@Living.minimal thank you for responding Kyra🤍
