He was an awesome singer what look for guys get together and they all have great voices and Great musicians. Then Linda comes along and it turns out she sings like an angel. Pawle is lucky to have her on back up, before he did his hit with Michael Jackson, Michael asked who is backing you up with such beautiful singing? He said that’s my wife Linda, Michael said her voice is amazing and she back us up on our new song. Of course the answer was oh yeah!
Paul is like the Energizer Bunny of singer/songwriters....he keeps going and going. He never stops. He can't stop. No one can keep up with him. Not even the Beatles! He doesn't need the money. He doesn't need more fame. He doesn't need to write anything more. He does it because he loves it. Makes him alive. Kinda like what breathing is all about. Keep going Paul!
He proved this to everybody, 10 years ago, in Seattle...playing 11 different instruments, singing lead on every song for 3+ hours! A bassist acquaintance of mine, with better floor seats, told me Paul never drank any water during the entire show...fueled by love, without a doubt!
There are no words to describe the pure joy & happiness I feel when I hear Listen To What The Man Says. IMO, one of the most uplifting songs ever written. I love Bluebird... but I cherish Listen To What The Man Says.
I love Paul McCartney and the Wings 🪽 he was at his musical best, and Linda is the one who encourages him to go for his dreams. They are a couple who compliment each other perfectly 🎉🎉. They are so in tune with each other 🎉🎉. They are the true essence and chemistry of what soul mates really are. Their love goes deeper than beyond words,it's just a mutual understanding between the two. They are the meaning of family, love, music, and living your life to the fullest 🎉🎉
It's definitely one of my favorite songs by WINGS. Joe English was a great drummer of his time. Linda a hard working woman, helped the band become what they were vocally and instrumentally. Great horn and rhythm section.

Paul was almost TOO talented. He just has too many good songs for the average person to digest. From his Beatles career alone, there's hours of masterpieces. By the time you get to his solo career it's almost absurd how many great songs he had written. Way too many for people to realize. His obscure b-sides are better than most bands hit singles (cage, Hey diddle). And next to huge solo hits like "band on the run" "live and let die" "uncle albert" it's easy to forget about, or never get around to the lesser known stuff like "Magneto and Titanium man" "Heart of the country" "eat at home" "let me roll it" and so many more. I mean even his least loved, most panned album's are severely underrated in my opinion. They first album under the Wings name, Wild Life, was panned by critics. It hasn't been remastered or included in any of his boxsets. People said he sounded stoned and unfocused. Yeah right! the whole A side rocks! The cover of Love Is Strange is so cool, so catchy and different. Plus his song Wild Life about animal rights is amazing. Bip Bop is catchy fun, Mumbo is just another fun jam. Plus there's a song about John! People should check it out and give it another chance, I swear it's better than critics said. Critics even bashed RAM which is a masterpiece. It's almost as solid of an album as Dark Side of the Moon. every song is great, they work together to form a great listening experience. Heart of the Country, Eat at Home, Munkberry Moon Delight, Dear Boy, etc. all those songs are better than what most people write in a career. My point is this. Paul was so incredibly prolific people take it for granted. A lot of his 70s songs should have and would have been even bigger if they were released by someone else. People loved Paul but probably got a little too used to hearing "another Paul song" on the radio. His style is so distinct. It's easy to recognize, and even dismiss as "just another catchy tune by paul". When in reality they're classic, beautifully written songs with interesting chords, fresh ideas/melodies, innovative hooks, etc. The man IS music.
Kevin R I agree with you completely. It is (sort of) easy to write a complicated, boring song with a gazillon chords in it - but the opposite requires talent. God knows where that comes from, but PM sure has a lot of it
Well said. It’s interesting that you mentioned Wings’ Wild Life as a great album. It has a a lot of great songs and one of my favorites “Dear Friend” which i believe was written for John. Also that album couldn’t have been that bad since it inspired a Peruvian Band called ‘We All Together’ to cover two songs from that album: Some People Never Know & Tomorrow. Both great covers.
Wonderful memories listening too these songs . Paul really put himself on top with this band. I think he had like 5 successful albums in a row with Wings . Nice going Paul & Linda . ❤ Still listening after all these years. ❤❤❤❤❤😊
Absolutely. I feel that's why Paul's solo work seems closer to sounding like the Beatles to me than the others, because the singing is so good, her voice is perfect for "Bluebird".
You're so right...I just enjoyed an old interview of her, having never seen her in those regards. She stated exactly what you said, coming off very grounded, sincere and real...a lovely lady in every sense of the word.
I come back here once a year. This song has touched me since I have played the campaign. Where this song was in a cutscene. I couldn’t believe how amazing this song is. Ayane-Hayate-Kasumi-Ryu Hayabusa. Forever in my heart.
Im listening to the Rockshow and man even the best bands today are not so much in comparison .... I might be older but it sure was a great time for music ..... It was magical to say the least ....
@@w.k.4995 You didn't ask me, but the best two I've seen are Talking Heads late in their Stop Making Sense tour, and the Divinyls in Virginia Beach 1982. Christina Amphlett was so cute and fun to watch, and the music was great.
We first saw it at a theatre, of course, I had to get my own copy... they were rumoured to have played our local speedway during that tour, but it never came to be...but now I'll see em any old time. Yes! There's a story about how Paul paid for 100 New Orleans musicians to be flown to LA and party on the Queen Mary. I wish that had been recorded on film!

@Funkyme4 I completely agree! Such a great song and it really does give me chills. As a sax player myself, it has always been a dream of mine to play in that horn section. Now if Paul will ever add a horn section again...
There is an LP/CD of this show called Wings Over America-- it features some of the best LIVE work of that period by anyone. But as far as I have seen recently, there is NO DVD version available. Most of these clips are taken from the '75/'76 TV programme that covered the concert after the fact. And it's splendid viewing!

This song should have charted...Much,much better and more pleasantly listenable than some of his others.( Let e"m in,Heart of the country..etc)..MOST people dont know this song...What a shame..
Tickets were not easy to get. Saw this on TV the season right after ('75-'76). At the time they had the largest travelling rock show on the road-- only Kiss surpassed them in 1977. The 'Wings Over America' DVD is STILL not available! --though it should be, if only as an historical artifact!
I think his voice at its peak during this period. Probably the best singer in the world.
No Doubt about. He was 33,34at that time I bet
He knew how to put together an awesome band…Paul rocks
Natalie Merchant has a better voice.

No matter what happens in this flucked up world, at least we will have had Paul McCartney and Wings ☺

That sound live with Wings is just amazing and does not fade whatsoever with time!
